Update 13:50 uur: Fagron

Fagron gaat hard omhoog. Nu +10% en het volume is ook een stuk hoger dan gemiddeld. Credits zijn voor het Belgische De Tijd met haar uitzoekwerk. Copypaste uit het stuk op Tijd.be.

Tot nu toe was niet bekend wie hoeveel op tafel ging leggen in het kader van die eerste tranche. Nu wel, de bedragen staan gedetailleerd in het bijzonder verslag dat de raad van bestuur opmaakte naar aanleiding van de operatie.

Daaruit blijkt dat Waterland en Filip Balcaen samen 87,8 miljoen euro op tafel leggen en Marc Coucke 30 miljoen. De fondsbeheerder Carmignac pompt 6 miljoen euro in Fagron. Versluys (3,75 miljoen), Van Beuningen (2 miljoen) en Stols (1,4 miljoen) investeren beperktere bedragen. De verhoudingen binnen het duo Balcaen-Waterland zijn niet bekend, maar het zouden volwaardige partners zijn.

Al die partijen zijn bereid in Fagron te investeren, maar op hun voorwaarden. Zo mag de prijs per aandeel bij die eerste tranche niet hoger zijn dan 5,50 euro, moet Fagron de bestaande overeenkomsten met de banken en met zijn Amerikaanse obligatiehouders herzien en moet het bedrijf orde op zaken stellen in de Verenigde Staten. Fagron moet daar het overgenomen Bellevue - de oorzaak van al zijn problemen - verkopen of stopzetten.

Het gaat om het koersdoel voor de B-aandelen. Die noteren in pence. En ze zijn meestal iets duurder dan de Nederlandse A-aandelen (omdat er geen dividendbelasting op wordt ingehouden).

BAM gets funding green light for 114€m Snowhill job

Funding has been secured for the Three Snowhill office project in Birmingham, set to be the largest ever speculative office project outside London.

Ballymore’s Three Snowhill, a 420,000 sq ft office development in Birmingham city centre

Bam Construct can now start work on the long-awaited 14-storey Three Snowhill office project at St Chad’s Queensway following confirmation of a 253€m deal between M&G Real Estate and Snowhill developer Ballymore.

Chancellor George Osborne welcomed the Budget day deal:

he said: “We want to make the Midlands Britain’s engine for growth and this landmark announcement will play an important part in that plan.”

The final phase of the Snowhill estate is expected to cost 114€m to build sustaining up to 450 construction jobs.

It forms part of Birmingham’s 20-year master plan for redeveloping Snowhill known as Vision 2030.

BAM will be remodelling the existing five levels of basement and cores which serve all three phases, creating office, leisure and conference space and car parking.

Above ground it will be a steel framed office tower with curtain walling to all elevations with 17 levels of office space and two levels of plant room.

The fully curtain walled 420,000 sq ft development is targeting BREEAM Excellent under the 2014 regulations and has an EPC rating of at least B.

BAM has appointed Paul Avery – the man who recently led the major refurbishment of the National Indoor Arena – as project manager for the scheme.

BAM land 36€m deal for two University of Lincoln projects

BAM Construction has landed two projects worth a combined 36€ million at the University of Lincoln.

BAM, which has offices in Leeds, has started work on a 20€ million contract for the Isaac Newton Building, which will house the institution’s Engineering, Computer Science and Maths & Physics departments.

The contractor has also been appointed on a 16€ million contract to construct the Sarah Swift Building, which will be home to the University’s Schools of Health & Social Care and Psychology.

The Isaac Newton Building project involves extending and re-configuring some of the existing Engineering Hub, a facility BAM built in 2011, to create a further 7,500 sq m of floor area.

Facilities inside the Isaac Newton Building – named after the famous Lincolnshire-born scientist – will include a semi-anechoic chamber; a Faraday Cage; and a 500-seat lecture theatre.

Completion of the project is expected in Spring 2017.

Meanwhile detailed design work is taking place on the Sarah Swift Building – a 5,500 sq m structure named after Lincolnshire-born Dame Sarah Swift, a 19th and early 20th Century nursing leader who founded the Royal College of Nursing.

The five-storey building will house teaching areas, laboratories and other facilities. The building will include vibration-sensitive equipment which requires BAM to meet certain design specifications.

BAM Construction is working with sister firm BAM Design on the Sarah Swift Building, which is due for completion in May 2017.

Construction manager Jason Pink said: “BAM is delighted to be working with the University of Lincoln with these two important projects.

“We look forward to creating great facilities for students and lecturers and further boosting the university’s offering in an increasingly competitive global market.

“Working with BAM Design means we can work even more efficiently, drawing best value solutions into the design. Being based in the same office means we can review the design side by side as it develops, promoting buildability and keeping within the client’s budget. BAM will work hard as always to ensure both projects benefit the local community and economy where possible.”
