I think the importance of what we have achieved with those 2 deals is that they are in itself not big in absolute volume, but they are lighthouse programs with 2 very large car manufacturers and those are the first deals that are available and it gives us an opportunity to translate what we think is our product position, where we think we are ahead of competition to turn that into a market leadership position. So those are really highly regarded carmakers, and we will start supplying those maps in 2021. It will be for a limited number of vehicles, but we believe that this is an excellent opportunity in the platform to further grow within those 2 carmakers, but also in the rest of the market and being selected by other carmakers for similar products and services.
Huawei pulls out to overtake smart car technologieswww.google.nl/amp/s/www.telecomtv.com... In January this year, Huawei signed up with Dutch Sat Nav provider TomTom to provide it with mapping software for its smartphone range as an alternative to Google’s maps and associated navigation services. We wondered aloud whether Huawei was preparing to make the big Android break from Google. The further signs that followed have only been slightly contradicted by Huawei’s ‘P30 Pro New Edition’ handset with Google apps loaded. That phone is essentially a revamp of an existing,’ licenced for Google system’ and it launched in Germany yesterday, but this is no course correction on Huawei’s part. Make no mistake, Huawei is planning to escape from Google’s software clutches eventually, but if it can sell lots of phones by having the Google apps on them for the time being, it will. There’s no doubt that Huawei has its sights set on what many regard as a bigger prize. The smart auto market. The deal with TomTom (see - Huawei navigates path away from Google’s services) was just one in a whole series of moves and shakes that lines Huawei up in pole position on smart car systems. Cars, or rather their integrated smarts, are now Huawei’s big target with its HiCar system, reportedly with as many as 30 manufacturers already signed up to include HiCar in 120 upcoming models.
The companies that have signed up to become part of Huawei’s “5G automotive ecosystem” include state-owned carmakers FAW Group Corp, SAIC Motor Corp, Dongfeng Motor Corp, Chang’an Automobile (Group) Co, Beijing Automotive Industry Holding, Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co, Nanjing Automobile (Group) Corp and Chery Automobile Co.Other prominent members include BYD Co, Great Wall Motors, Guangzhou Automobile Group and electric bus manufacturer Zhengzhou Yutong Group.“We will jointly explore and develop valuable 5G car applications,” said Huawei, adding that “the next two years will be critical” to fostering a market for 5G-connected vehicles. The company did not provide the projected volume of these cars to be released in the domestic market.www.google.nl/amp/s/amp.abacusnews.co...
Q1 2020 A - 24% E + 10% C - 40% Mijn prognose Q2 2020. A van 75,9 naar 40 is - 47% E van 41 naar 45 is + 10% C van 94,7 naar 35 is - 63% Omzet 120 marge 80% is gross profit 96 Opex Q1 180 nu 170 operating result EBIT - 74 D en A 72 Ebitda - -2 Laat het werkkapitaal gelijk aan Q1 evenals de rest. - tax 2 - plant 2 - terugbetaling lease verplichting zeg 4 cash daalt met - 10. Tja . Gewoon mijn eigen mening. the Verizon deal is not to be underestimated. It's a breakthrough deal for us.

But the underlying business is solid and sound. And that has made us also decide to keep going where we're going, avoid cost where we can, but not compromise our ability to deliver against the product road map and our strategic priorities. But the introduction of fully automated cars has been pushed further out. So the applications that carmakers are looking for now are closer to more an increment of what we're already doing with cruise control and lane guidance and those kind of things, where HD Maps will start playing a role. But the fully automated driving car is going to take longer than we all have hoped, but the business for HD Maps will continue to develop gradually over the next 2, 3, 4 years. ( Dus gewoon HD deals ) So there will be a gradual restart of production capacity. Once that is at full capacity, then we need to look at the end-user demand effects that come into place. And those are harder to predict.

Aandelen inkopen tegen afbraakprijzen is not done.

www.google.nl/amp/s/winbuzzer.com/202... Tara Prakriya General Manager, Azure Mobility, Microsoft Connected Vehicle Platform and Azure Maps, highlighted the growth of MCVP. The platform has already been adopted by companies such as TomTom, LG, and Volkswagen. Prakriya explained how Microsoft wants to become a player in the in-car infotainment space by focusing on innovation: “We are incredibly excited to be a part of the connected vehicle space. With MCVP, our ecosystem partners and our partnerships with leading automotive players, both vehicle OEMs and automotive technology suppliers, we believe we have a uniquely capable offering enabling at global scale the next wave of innovation in the automotive industry as well as related verticals such as smart cities, smart infrastructure, insurance, transportation, and beyond.”youtu.be/j0tpZHZe75I
The road to AVs In 2018, Intel led a group of investors that put US$50 million into Moovit. The acquisition now brings Mobileye closer to its vision of being a “full-stack” mobility provider, meaning providing everything from the underlying technology that helps cars safely navigate to the robotaxis themselves and the application people use to navigate. “Moovit’s massive global user base, proprietary transportation data, global editors community, strong partnerships with key transit and mobility ecosystem partners, and highly skilled team is what makes them a great investment,” said Professor Amnon Shashua, CEO of Mobileye. “Moovit is a strong brand trusted by hundreds of millions of people globally. Together, with Mobileye’s extensive capabilities in mapping and self-driving technology, we will be able to accelerate our timeline to transform the future of mobility.”cities-today.com/industry/intel-to-ac...
