    The strong growth trend that was witnessed in the ETP industry in 2017, is expected to continue in 2018 and beyond. The shift in assets from actively managed funds towards the passive industry drives ETP growth across all asset classes. Regulation, such as MiFID II is expected to support further transparency and a level playing field, which already is starting to be beneficial to the ETP market.

    On top of an already strong start of the year, the recent significant uptick in market activity contributes to an exceptional trading result for Flow Traders. This drives our NTI year-to-date already more than considerably above the record quarter level of 3Q15. This also shows the strength of our business model as well as Flow Traders’ ability to provide liquidity whilst managing appropriately the associated risks in all market circumstances.

    two-year high in February as volatility returned

    Trading volume in the U.S. stock market spiked over the month of February, with average daily activity hitting a two-year high as volatility returned to Wall Street in a big way. According to the WSJ Market Data Group, an average of 8.19 billion shares were traded in each session of February, the highest daily average for a month since February 2016. The spike came as the Cboe Volatility Index VIX, -12.82% jumped 46.6% over the month, its biggest one-month percentage jump since August 2015. The return of volatility meant big moves in both directions for the major indexes; over the course of February, the S&P 500 saw both its best weekly performance since 2013, and its worst week in two years. The swings follow an atypically quiet market throughout 2017, which was bereft of volatility as the VIX hit two all-time closing lows. As a result, daily trading volumes over 2017 came in at a three-year low. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, -0.29% fell 1.3% on Friday, on track for its fourth straight day with a 1% decline. The S&P 500 SPX, +0.51% was down 0.6% while the Nasdaq Composite IndexCOMP, +1.08% was off 0.3%.

    Als je de koersontwikkeling van Virtu Financial Inc. bekijkt, dan heeft Flow Traders nog een traject te gaan.

    Vandaag is Vrtu +4 % en Flow is slechts +1%. En dit is niet de eerste dag dat Flow achterblijft.

    Er lijkt een bewuste rem op de koers van Flow te worden uitgeoefend. Geen probleem, hierdoor zal straks de inhaalslag van Flow des te sneller gaan ;-)

    Add Value Fund verwachting voor verdere potentieel voor Flow Traders:

    "De beurskoers van Flow Traders is gedurende de verslagmaand weliswaar met 65% gestegen naar € 33,70, maar bevindt zich daarmee slechts 5% boven de IPO-koers van € 32,- uit mei 2015 en noteert 35% onder de all time high koers van begin februari 2016 van € 51,59. Wij menen dat er nog een zeer ruim re-ratings potentieel voor Flow Traders resteert en wijzen in dit verband op de beurswaardering van de Amerikaanse peer Virtu Financial waarvan de beurskoers inmiddels ruim 15% boven de all time high koers van eind oktober 2015 staat en ruim 20 keer de verwachte winst 2018 noteert."
