    De tijd van 2 euro is voorbij.

    De daling komt simpelweg door te hoge verwachtingen door analisten.

    BAM heeft zelf een prima vooruitzicht gegeven op de cijfers.

    Tja, dat sommige achter analisten aanhobbelen en continu met de vingers aan de verkoop knop zitten.....
    Die zijn in ieder geval weer weg, gelukkig.

    Joosten heeft een duidelijk plan en de goede weg ingeslagen.

    Het is een kwestie van tijd en 3+ staat op de borden.

    Ach, misschien ligt de daling wel gewoon aan de gepubliceerde cijfers. Netto winst van 18 miljoen voor een heel jaar hard werken. Dat wil niet zeggen dat het aandeel niet weer naar de 3 euro gaat.

    Je weet dat tussen €100-€200 M gaat uit voor de Trade working capital efficiency

    De is nu -16,9% maar doel is beter dan -10%, -16,9% is niet haalbaar voor langetermijn .
    Dus dit FY zal dat veranderd, er zal een paar % rechting de -10% gaan.

    Dat snap ik. IK geloof niet dat je die kans gaat krijgen. Ik heb mijn bmmetjes na bestudering van de cijfers er direct uitgegooid.. Ik ben bij 2,50 weer van de partij.

    Gouda, the Netherlands, 18 February 2022 – The Museum of the Future in Dubai – delivered by BAM International bv and supported by BAM Ireland, operating companies of Royal BAM Group nv – will open to the public on 22 February 2022.

    The futuristic torus shaped, iconic building is Dubai Future Foundation’s latest venture, which sits under the watchful eye of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. It will explore the future trends and opportunities in science, technology and innovation.

    As the main contractor BAM was responsible for all aspects of the construction execution and the complex contractors design elements such as the façade and landscape mound. BAM’s experience in digital led projects and the project team’s dedication to BIM and digital construction have enabled a high level of integrated design and construction, perhaps impossible to achieve with traditional methods.

    The stainless steel facade, which extends over 17,000m2 , includes quotes from poetry by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the calligraphy is illuminated by over 14,000m of LED lights. The Arabic calligraphy has been designed by the Emirati artist Mattar bin Lahej. Among the quotes is: ‘The future belongs to those who can imagine it, design it, and execute it.’

    Project manager Seamus O’Sullivan said: ‘Delivering the vision of Dubai Future Foundation has been a great achievement by BAM, over more than 1,200 BAM employees on site, construction partners and sub-contractors. Together we have managed to overcome the numerous challenges, this building has pushed the boundaries of what we now believe is possible. We can be proud that given these difficult circumstances our continuous attention to safety has resulted in a very strong safety performance, with no major accidents.’

    BAM International’s managing director Wouter Remmelts added: ‘Since last year BAM has gradually handed over parts of the Museum of the Future, allowing the client to start the fitting out of the interior and the setting up the exhibitions.’

    Just under 1,000 claims have now been taken by the main contractor constructing the new National Children’s Hospital, at a value of €542m.

    Despite a moratorium being in place on new claims since last May, new figures show that an additional 78 actions have been lodged by the contractor BAM since July, at a value of €96m, including 33 claims in December alone bringing the total to date to 984.

    The claims are lodged in spite of the moratorium. The project is not expected to be ready for use by the public before 2025.

    That moratorium was put in place with a view to both the National Paediatric Hospital Development Board (NPHDB) — which bears responsibility for delivering the €1.7bn hospital — and BAM focusing all efforts towards completing the build in the shortest timeframe possible.

    Under the contract between BAM and the NPHDB, the contractor is entitled to raise claims and adjustments seeking compensation for perceived aberrations in the project.

    The number of claims lodged to date since the build began in 2018 however was not expected, with David Gunning, the NPHDB’s chief officer, previously describing the level of actions as “inordinately” high.

    While BAM values the claims at €542m, some 818 of them which have been adjudicated upon by the NPHDB’s representative for disputes under the contract is just €17.2m.

    In November 2020, Mr Gunning said that an additional €15m would be required in order to satisfy the claims situation up until mid-2022.

    Separately, the NPHDB has defended its retention of legal firm McCann Fitzgerald as both drafter of the hospital contract and also key adviser regarding the 984 disputes with BAM.

    McCann Fitzgerald, one of the preeminent legal firms in the country, successfully tendered for and was paid €45,000 in 2017 to prepare the construction contract for the hospital, the NPHDB said.

    The firm is also the principal legal adviser to the NPHDB on the project.

    Social Democrats TD and vice chair of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Catherine Murphy, said that in using McCann Fitzgerald both for the contract and the defence of legal claims, there is a “potential conflict of interest”.

    Ms Murphy allowed that it could “make sense for them to advise the board as they would be au fait with the contract”, but countering that she said “the contract signed doesn’t appear to be watertight because how could it be if so many claims are being made”.

    Separately, Department of Health secretary-general Robert Watt has said no one party was responsible for the decision to maintain secrecy regarding the hospital’s budget and completion date on reasons of “commercial sensitivity”.

    The NPHDB told the PAC in February 2021 that further detail on the budget and timeframes for the project would be made available within a month.

    However, that information was not forthcoming.

    “There was not a single decision point … but rather the collective corporate and fiduciary responsibilities of the Department of Health and the NPHDB,” Mr Watt said in correspondence with the committee.

    He added those responsibilities “clearly indicated” that sharing that information “would not be in the best interests of the project or the State”.

    Geen ingewikkelde bouwprojecten meer, geen geld meer ergens op toe leggen.

    Kantelpunt is gaande. In de toekomst alleen nog maar winstgevende opdrachten waarbij allerlei risico's zoals stijgende grondstofprijzen goed ingedekt zijn.

    Kan niet anders zijn dan dat BAM flink hoger gaat noteren.

    Moet ook wel na deze enorme afstraffing, 0,64 centjes eraf, terwijl je inschatte dat we de 2 niet meer zouden zien.
    Maar vertrouwen houden in Joosten, voor dat ziin lei schoon is geveegd, wat heeft die v. Wingerden er toch een ongelooflijke puinhoop van gemaakt... totaal geen conrole dan wel toezicht geweest bjj het inschrijven van potentiele orders, met de natte vinger aan het werk geweest. Hopelijk is dit jaar het einde van zijn bullshit.
