    De Gelderlander komt vandaag meteen groot stuk over de enorme stijging van de kosten van bouwmateriaal. In Gelderland kunnen verschillende projecten van overheidsdiensten niet gegund worden omdat inschrijfsommen het beschikbare budget ver overstijgen. Ook veel woningbouwplannen blijven in de la.
    Sterk gestegen bouwkosten voor aangenomen werk Kan de winst van Bam over het derde kwartaal flink wegvreten. Misschien is dat een verklaring voor de tanende koersen van de bouwbedrijven.

    Frankfurt/Stuttgart, 11 October 2021 - On 4 October 2021, RAG Aktiengesellschaft awarded a bidding consortium consisting of Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau AG (50%, technical lead) and Ed. Züblin AG (50%, commercial lead) the contract for the construction of a new mine water drainage tunnel for dewatering the Ibbenbüren mine - one of the last German coal mines - which was closed down in 2018. The contract has a construction volume in the three-digit million range; the multi-year construction work is scheduled to start in November of this year.

    From the end of 2024, the approximately 7.4 km long tunnel will drain off the mine water from the former mine, which has been rising in a controlled manner since the deep dewatering system was shut down. The tunnel, with an internal diameter of 3.6 m, will be excavated in two parallel sections by two tunnel boring machines from two access points. For this purpose, a 250 m long section will be excavated as a launching pit and a 70 m deep central shaft with an internal diameter of 32 m will be excavated. The tunnel will be constructed with a precast segmental lining and an invert channel to drain off the mine water. In addition, the existing mining shaft Von-Oeynhausen-1, which is partially filled below the connection of the new tunnel, is to be reinforced. The new drainage tunnel will be connected to it at a depth of 100 m, via which the mine water will ultimately be led to the treatment plant in Gravenhorst.

    Deze prijsstijging is al verdisconteerd in de verkoopprijzen van nieuwbouwwoningen. Je denkt toch niet dat bouwbedrijven stil gaan zitten toekijken met prijsstijgingen terwijl ze hun winsten zien verdampen.

He added: “For new tenders indeed it can sometimes lead to longer negotiations, to get it into the tender, but our intention always is to build it into the tender as we start the project.”

    Het wordt er allemaal moeilijker van. Projecten worden afgeblazen of lopen vertraging op.

    DNB waarschuwt voor inflatieschok
    Op de financiële markten lijkt de feestvreugde niet te stoppen. DNB maakt zich grote zorgen. Beleggers doen er verstandig aan om zich voor te bereiden op negatieve scenario’s, zoals een structureel hogere inflatie. Het sentiment zou zo maar om kunnen slaan, met schokken op de beurzen tot gevolg. De lage rente maakt de risicobereidheid onder beleggers groot. Maar dat gedrag is alleen vol te houden bij lage rente en lage inflatie. Volgens DNB bouwen zich op de financiële markten kwetsbaarheden op. Er vindt steeds meer hefboomfinanciering plaats. Dat maakt de kans groter op marktcorrecties, die de financiële stabiliteit ondermijnen. Beleggers houden hier te weinig rekening mee. (FD)

    The Cork Events Centre is to receive a multi-million-euro boost in Budget 2022.

    €12.5m is being given to support Cork City Council’s “advancement of” the event centre project.

    Minister for Public Expenditure Michael McGrath announced the money on Tuesday saying that the event centre is included as a commitment under Project Ireland 2040.

    It is to help achieve Government objectives around "urban regeneration, enhanced amenity and heritage" as well as for the "regeneration and development of Cork City Centre".

    Earlier this month, Mr McGrath said that the State remained committed to the long-delayed event centre and that €50m in public funding was ring-fenced for it.

    He said that the State could not deliver the centre on its own.

    “We are dependent on project partners here in the private sector, BAM and Live Nation, but this Government remains committed to the event centre project,” he said.

    The sod was first turned on the event centre site in 2016 but construction is yet to get underway.
