Terug naar mama: het nieuws is dat ABN Amro zich weer over haar oude zakenbankactiviteiten ontfermt, die via Fortis naar Royal Bank of Scotland ging. Het zoveelste hoofdstuk in onze nationale bankensoap van de afgelopen jaren. Oh ja, in de VS deed ene Apple +0,08% op de presentatie van de iPad3.

Intussen is het spannend. Cruciaal dagje wellicht na die fikse daling van eergisteren. Als de markten vandaag niet verder herstellen, kan het lastig worden. Anders gezegd: gaat de index dan echt die technische correctie in? Voorlopig ziet het er uit alsof de stieren in het voordeel zijn, maar veel is het niet.
Nee maar, dan is er een uitspraak in de voorkenniszaak Binck. Koffiekamerveteranen kennen het verhaal, een IEX-klassieker. De verdachte zou zo slim zijn geweest een paar dagen voor de cijfers die hier al op het Binck Forum te plempen, omdat hij die had gekregen van een commissaris annex autrorace-vriendje...
Over naar de markten:
- De futures plussen. Punt. Niks meer, niks minder.
- Azie ziet er mooi uit. Japan gaat haar hard door meevallend BBP-cijfer
- EUR/USD herstelt wat, maar het is niet veel soeps daar zo achter in de 1,31'ers
- Goud en zilver floepen weer met aandelen mee
- In de slipstream daarvan sneaken ook oliebenchmarks WTI en Brent mee
- De Bund future daalt een ietsiepietsie. Houd dat ding in de gaten vandaag samen met de PIIGS-bondjes door dat Griekse geswappel
