Webcast 13 mei, 2008. Q&A Q. Rene Verhoef van Fortis 12:19 A. Cees de Jong 12:38

En met dezewww.crucell.com/Annual_Report_2007/do... Pagina 5 links onderin In addition, a Latin American supranational organization ordered 7 million doses of Quinvaxem, which we will deliver in 2 0 0 8. This contract was awarded by a supranational organization for Latin America and covers sales in 2 0 0 7.

www.iex.nl/forum/topic.asp?forum=228&... New contracts awarded for Quinvaxem® and Hepavax-Gene® Leiden, The Netherlands (September 23, 2008) - Dutch biopharma company Crucell N.V. (Euronext, Nasdaq: CRXL; Swiss Exchange: CRX) today announced that supranational organizations awarded Crucell new contracts of $140 million for supplies of Quinvaxem
Via flosz Quinvaxem to remain Crucell cash cow also after 2010... SNS, Marcel Wijma: 12 November 2008 Crucell raises outlook on strong sales 2008Q3 Yesterday, Crucell published its 2008Q3 figures which were better-than-expected. Revenues increased by 31% to EUR 82.1m. Gross margin increased substantially to 50% compared to 36% in 2007Q3. For the first time in it existence, the company achieved a quarterly net profit of EUR 12.3m. Next to these excellent figures, the company raised its 2008 full year guidance for total revenues to 25- 30% from 20%. We have raised our estimates and reiterate our Buy rating. The rise in revenues was mainly due to the strong sales of paediatric vaccines, mainly Quinvaxem, and an increase in license revenues. Also the sales of its flu vaccine Inflexal was strong. Its total production volume of 10 million doses (estimated) was completely sold out already. Next to that, the company managed to increase its production yields and to improve the plant utilization as a result of the higher volumes. We expect that the increase in sales will also continue in 2008Q4. Quinvaxem already is Crucell largest product in terms of production and sales with sales expected to increase in the next few years to EUR 150-180m in 2009. Although increased competition from especially Indian vaccine producers is likely to come on stream in the next few years, we do not expect this will have a large impact on prices and the growth of Crucell’s market share (currently around 50% in pentavalent paediatric vaccines). The Indian market itself should be large enough to keep these producers occupied in the first years. Also the fact that Unicef recently only awarded a contract worth USD 34 to Indian based vaccine producer Panacea compared to awarded contracts worth USD 500m to Crucell makes us believe that the fully liquid vaccine of Crucell is superior. The market for pentavalent paediatric vaccines is expected to grow to 140 million doses in 2010. After 2010 we expect that more competition from other producers will put pressure on prices and will limit Crucell’s market share. However, considering the ongoing demand for pentavalent vaccines we do not see a lower sales from Quinvaxem in the next few years. On the contrary, we believe Quinvaxem to remain Crucell cash cow also after 2010 and will be the company’s driving force towards profitability in 2009. Crucell raised its 2008 full year guidance for total revenues to 25-30% from 20% and reiterated its guidance for cash flow positive despite continued inventory build up of the Quinvaxem vaccine. The update of its pipeline did not show surprises. The development of a vaccine against Ebola is revitalized with the sign of a new contract with the NIH worth in total up to USD 70m in funding. The development of the vaccine against Malaria is still going very slow. Enrollment for the fourth and final group of volunteers is still ongoing and initial findings of this Phase I trial are expected in the first quarter of 2009. In all, we believe the figures to be very strong and with the Healthy Ambition restructuring program going forward as planned, which should lead to cost savings of up to EUR 30m by the end of 2009, we believe the company should become profitable as of next year. We reiterate our Buy recommendation. Buy Share price: EUR 11.20 closing price as of 11/11/2008 Target price: EUR 17.50 Target Price unchanged

"The market for Quinvaxem, acquired in 2006 through the acquisition of Berna Biotech, is expected to be around 225 million doses at the end of 2009, up from around 45 million doses last year, Chief Executive Ronald Brus said."At this moment Crucell is by far the market leader and this market is growing rapidly. We continue to maintain our market share, while the market is growing," he said." Market for Quinvaxem at 225 million doses at end of next year would represent ,at $3.50 a dose, a market of $787 million a year. While competition may increase, Crucell should be able to add to its total in the 2010 to 2013 deals with the supranationals. Even if Crucell's share of the market dropped to 50% (right now it is virtually 80%) for the 2010 through 2013 period, that is still $343 million a year.
"...through the end of 2009, Crucell has contracts to deliver "in the higher end" of a range of $250 to $300 million worth of Quinvaxem." JMHO !

WHO en GAVI maken vooraf afspraken ivm toekomstige behoeften (zie GAVI alliance).
