    Wat denken jullie van Binance? Die eigenlijk niet meer in Nederland actief gaat zijn. Mensen vertrekken van Binance, naar andere exchanges. Coinbase, Bitvavo etc.
    Ook schieten de nieuwe exchanges uit de grond, Finst Exchange bijvoorbeeld, maar ook Bitget Exchange, crypto-fondsen.nl/exchange/bitget-exc... .

    Zelf verwacht ik dat er een heel nieuw tijdperk aan komt van crypto exchanges die gereguleerd zullen zijn. Binance was ook een cowboy. Coinbase, Finst en Bitget zijn meer gereguleerd en dus beter voor lange termijn.

    Deutsche Bank Applies for License to Offer Crypto Custody Service

    Deutsche Bank, the largest bank in Germany, is seeking regulatory approval to offer custody services for digital assets, including cryptocurrencies. A Deutsche Bank executive explained that the digital asset move is part of the giant lender’s broader strategy to boost fee income.

    Deutsche Bank Applies for Digital Asset License
    Germany’s largest bank by total assets, Deutsche Bank AG, has submitted an application to the country’s Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (Bafin) seeking regulatory approval to offer custody services for digital assets, including cryptocurrencies, Bloomberg reported.

    “We’re building out our digital assets and custody business,” David Lynne, head of Deutsche Bank’s commercial banking unit, said at a conference Tuesday. The executive added:

    We just put our application into the Bafin for the digital asset license.

    Lynne further shared that the move is part of the giant lender’s wider strategy aimed at boosting fee income within Deutsche Bank’s corporate bank. Additionally, it reflects similar efforts by Deutsche Bank’s asset management arm, DWS Group, to enhance revenue through digital asset-related offerings, the publication conveyed.

    Deutsche Bank’s corporate bank division initially indicated a plan to offer digital asset custody in late 2020 without providing a specific timeline for the service’s launch. At that time, the division was under the leadership of Stefan Hoops, who later joined DWS as CEO, and Lynne took over the division a year ago.

    In Germany, Bafin is responsible for issuing licenses to entities wanting to offer crypto services in the country. The new Germany Money Laundering Act, which went into effect at the beginning of 2020, allows financial institutions to offer crypto products to their customers alongside traditional investments, such as stocks and bonds. At the time, Bafin reportedly received more than 40 “expressions of interest” from banks for approval to operate a crypto custody business in the future.

    Blackrock, the world’s largest asset manager, has filed to register a bitcoin trust that some believe is actually a spot bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) in disguise. Blackrock is seeking to launch a bitcoin product despite the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) efforts to crack down on unregistered crypto platforms and securities tokens. The asset management firm has also chosen Coinbase, the Nasdaq-listed crypto exchange that was recently charged by the SEC for securities law violations, to serve as custodian for its bitcoin trust.

    Blackrock Files to Launch a Bitcoin Trust
    The world’s largest asset manager, Blackrock, filed for the registration of Ishares Bitcoin Trust (the Trust) with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Thursday despite the regulator’s ongoing regulatory crackdown on the cryptocurrency sector. According to Blackrock’s filing:

    The assets of the Trust consist primarily of bitcoin held by a custodian on behalf of the Trust. The Trust seeks to reflect generally the performance of the price of bitcoin.

    “The Trust was formed as a Delaware statutory trust on June 8,” the asset manager explained, adding that Blackrock Fund Advisors is the trustee of the Trust and Coinbase Custody Trust Company is the custodian for the Trust’s bitcoin holdings. The sponsor of the Trust is Ishares Delaware Trust Sponsor, a Delaware limited liability company and an indirect subsidiary of Blackrock Inc.

    “The Trust issues shares only in baskets of 40,000 or integral multiples thereof,” the filing further details, adding: “Baskets may be redeemed by the Trust in exchange for the amount of bitcoin corresponding to their redemption value.” Moreover, Blackrock stated:

    Individual shares will not be redeemed by the Trust but will be listed and traded on Nasdaq.

    Many people view Blackrock’s filing as bullish for the entire crypto sector. Some have argued that the largest asset manager’s filing for a bitcoin trust is actually a filing for a bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF), which the SEC has not yet approved. So far, the securities regulator has rejected all filings for spot bitcoin ETFs.

    Some people were also surprised that Blackrock is seeking to offer a bitcoin product using Coinbase as custodian when the SEC is cracking down on the crypto industry and has filed charges against Coinbase for securities law violations. Onchain Capital co-founder Ran Neuner tweeted:

    Did Blackrock really just apply for a spot bitcoin ETF using Coinbase, a U.S. company that the SEC claims is actually an unlicensed securities exchange operating illegally?

    Several individuals drew comparisons between Blackrock’s bitcoin trust and Grayscale’s bitcoin trust (GBTC). Grayscale has been actively seeking to convert its bitcoin trust into a bitcoin ETF but the SEC has rejected its filing so far.

    Digibuild CEO Robert Salvador opined: “This is no different than the Grayscale. This can be used to short bitcoin into the floor. This is a Trojan horse, not a real ETF. Don’t be lulled to sleep.” Cardano enthusiast Chris O described: “Blackrock is a trust, but you can redeem it, so effectively working the same as an outright spot ETF. Probably packaged this way to justify their undoubted approval.”

    Eric Balchunas, a senior ETF analyst for Bloomberg, explained: “To all those saying the Blackrock filing is a trust and not an ETF. Do you consider $GLD to be an ETF? Well, this is same thing. Lot of structures under ‘ETF’ umbrella. Nothing like $GBTC. This is the real deal.” He stressed:

    Yes, it is a trust, but so is every other physical commodity ETFs like $GLD. Same structure. This is a real deal spot ETF filing vs GBTC.

    Venture Coinist’s Luke Martin noted: “$SPY & $GLD are good comparisons here. Both are ETFs structured as trusts. Same thing here. Key difference is it’s redeemable. unlike $GBTC.”

    Congressman Patrick McHenry (R-NC), who has been pushing SEC Chairman Gary Gensler to provide regulatory clarity for the crypto sector and has repeatedly criticized him for his enforcement-centric approach to regulating the crypto sector, emphasized: “The SEC must not pick winners and losers based on inconsistent factors. I’ll be watching this closely.” Vaneck advisor Gabor Gurbacs tweeted: “There are/were a number of earlier spot bitcoin ETF applications. Approve the active filings in order of first filing. That would be fair. But who are we kidding to expect fairness?”

    Ha, gecoördineerde actie Wallstreet met SEC. Kan niet anders. Blackrock, Fidelity, Wisdom Tree, Deutsche Bank……

    Ik ben er niet blij mee. Koers BTC zal exploderen maar ik had het liever zonder WS gezien.

    Voor mensen die snel geld willen verdienen: je kunt nu nog inkopen voordat Wallstreet koopt. Maar die tijd is zeer kort.

    Ja, het is nogal verdacht. Eerst Binance US en Coinbase eruit wippen, ofschoon het bij Coinbase minder duidelijk is, kan nog anders aflopen, daarna richten de grote Wallstreet jongens hun eigen exchange op: EDX. En plotseling willen ze allemaal meedoen. Gelukkig zijn de reguleerders er om onnozele en onschuldige consumenten te beschermen. Yeah, right. Er zijn ook geen noemenswaardige problemen in de financiële wereld, nee hoor. En zo meteen komt Branco ons uitleggen dat Blackrock, Fidelity, Deutsche Bank, Wisdom Tree & Invesco bitcoin ETF's gaan verkopen aan nietsvermoedende jongvolwassenen, want crypto is een piramidspel.

    Nog niet. Pas als hun peperdure Nederlands kwaliteitsaandelen gaan dalen. Misschien samen met onroerend goed. De hele wereld gaat de schuld krijgen, behalve zijzelf.

    die haters hebben nooit het verschil willen begrijpen tussen brokers&hardwareWallets en bitcoin&cryptocurrenties
    de euro&dollar blijven maar door verwateren en is m.i. een kwestie van tijd dat Bitcoin naar de $ 100.000,00 gaat :)

    Of de man die probeerde een traditionele bank op te zetten in de UK: “When we applied for a license, the regulators told us we had to store our funds in another fractional reserve bank and that it’s only profitable if we leverage client funds like all banks.”

    Als cryptohater heb je alleen maar verlies geleden.
    Ik ben 1 van de weinige crypto winnaars.
    Om mijn aanwezigheid op dit draadje te rechtvaardigen
    heb ik een tijdje geleden een etf crypto gekocht .
    Dat resulteerde in 40 euro winst.

    Als je de draadje maar half leest ontgaat je veel he!

    De buit binnen is niet een buit op crypto
    maar op gevestigde / normale investeringen.

    Fijne dag gewenst.

    Ik heb ook lekker geboerd door de laatste maanden te gokken in RIOT. Ook ik zie de BTC niet als een wondermiddel. Een kennis van mij weigerde te verkopen bij 60.000 dollar omdat hij er heilig in geloofde dat 100.000 dollar binnen korte tijd bereikt zou worden en ik heb hem toen voor gek verklaard dat hij gelooft in gebakken lucht. Ik hoor hem er nooit meer over. Een jonge gast, jammer had het geld beter in extra aflossingen in zijn huis kunnen stoppen.
