    Sirens have been activated in Cherkasy, Dnipro, Lviv, Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, and Khmelnytskyi Oblasts.

    This seems to be a Pattern that the Ukrainians continue to exploit Night Attacks due to Russian Forces either not having the Training or the Equipment to Operate Effectively at Night when the Ukrainians can.

    Alleen al om de Russische troepen te bevoorraden met eten, brandstof en ammunitie moeten er 2 tot 3 duizend wagens van Rusland naar de troepen in Oekraine en ook weer terug naar Rusland rijden. Dit wordt bij lange na niet gehaald.
    Troepen zonder of groot gebrek aan eten, brandstof en ammunitie houden ze niet lang vol.

    Biden admin weighs providing Ukraine with killer drones called Switchblades

    The U.S.-made guided missiles can accurately target tanks and artillery from miles away.

    No decisions have been made, but the officials said the White House is mulling whether to equip Ukraine with explosive-laden “loitering missiles,” called Switchblades, as part of a new package of military aid President Biden is expected to discuss on Wednesday.

    There are two variants of the weapon, the Switchblade 300 and 600, that have been sold to U.S. Special Operations Command by manufacturer AeroVironment, based in suburban Washington, DC. The 300 is designed for pinpoint strikes on personnel, and the larger 600 is meant to destroy tanks and other armored vehicles.

    NBC News reported on an exclusive demonstration of the Switchblade 300 in December. AeroVironment officials said at the time that the government forbid them from demonstrating the 600.

    Aerovironment officials did not respond to NBC News requests for comment.

    “We stand with our allies and sovereign nations in their right to protect their homelands and their very lives when this fundamental right is threatened,” the company said in a statement on its web site, headlined, “Aerovironment stands with the people of Ukraine and all of NATO.”

    The Switchblades are essentially robotic smart bombs, equipped with cameras, a guidance system and explosives. They can be programmed to automatically strike a target miles away, and they can be steered around an objective until the time is right to strike. The company says the 600 can fly for 40 minutes and up to 50 miles.

    They are a single-use weapon, which is why they have been dubbed “kamikaze drones.” But they are orders of magnitude cheaper than the Hellfire missiles fired by U.S. Reaper drones. The 300 can cost as little as $6,000, by some estimates.

    Both weapons can be set up in minutes and launched from a tube. They fly much faster than the Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drones that Ukraine has been using to inflict damage on Russia, and presumably would be able to penetrate the spotty air defenses Russia is currently maintaining over its forces.

    If the Switchblade was given to Ukraine, it could result in the most significant use of the weapon in combat to date. The U.S. military used the Switchblade in combat under limited circumstances in Afghanistan and elsewhere but has not publicized that fact, sources familiar with the matter have told NBC News.

    Many questions remain about the proposed arrangement with Ukraine, including how many of the missiles the U.S. has in its stockpiles, how fast AeroVironment can manufacture new ones, and how much training Ukrainians would require to operate the systems.

    @ Luchtschip:

    Je komt steeds met kapot geschoten Russische tanks en zo, en kleine Oekrainse successen, maar geeft nooit een objectief totaaloverzicht. Kortom, je bronnen en je berichtgeving zijn nogal eenzijdig.

    Ik bedoel dit feitelijk, verder ben ik net zo anti-Putin als jij en velen hier.

    Ik hoop van ganser harte dat de Russen zich moegestreden en wellicht door de weerzin in hun eigen land terug zullen trekken, maar ik vrees dat dit niet zal gebeuren.

    In het beste geval komt er een soort wapenstilstand gevolgd door een soort gewapende vrede waarbij Zelensky veel moet (in)slikken. Dat wens ik niet maar vrees ik wel.

    The European Union Council has agreed on a fourth package of restrictive measures against Russia in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine to ramp up economic pressure on the Kremlin and cripple its ability to finance its invasion of Ukraine. The measures, which have been coordinated with the EU's international partners, notably the United States, include first and foremost a total ban on any transactions with certain Russian state-owned enterprises in various sectors linked to the Kremlin's military-industrial complex. An import ban was introduced for steel products currently subject to EU safeguard measures. To compensate for the non-arrival of these steel products in the EU, import quotas allocated to other countries will be increased. It shall be prohibited to import, directly or indirectly, iron and steel products as listed below if they originate in Russia or have been exported from Russia as well as ban their transportation. It seems that semi-finished products such as billet and slab are not subject to the sanctions.

    However, the prohibitionsshall not apply to the execution until 17 June 2022 of contracts concluded before 16 March 2022, or ancillary contracts necessary for the execution of such contracts

    Echt ongelooflijk hoe de Oekraïners met hun Javelins ( anti tank wapen dat vanaf de schouder weggeschoten wordt ) een grote colonne van de Russische Nationale Garde, de Rosgvardya, uitschalkelt.

    De Rosgvardya, worden direct aangestuurd door Putin en zij treden in Rusland op tijdens onlusten in het binnenland.
    Het zijn Putin's elite troepen en gevreesd door de Russische bevolking wegens hun hardhandig ingrijpen en optreden.

    En hier in Oekraine wordt het aan flarden geschoten

    Russia continues its attempts to break through from Luhansk area north west towards Kharkiv. So far only minor gains there from the beginning of the operation.
    Seems to also be very costly for Russia to push at that direction.
