    Ach Hirshi. Ik wil liever niet te veel stelligs zeggen en zaken polariseren
    Gestook van de EU is natuurlijk natuurlijk olie op het vuur. Heel Oekraïne laten overlopen? Geen optie voor Poetin. Mooi dat meneer zijn jonge knullen zo bij elkaar zet

    Anderzijds: zgn enkel bezwaar Rusland geen soort garantie geven op niet aanvallen NAVO. De NAVO is toch defensie-organisatie?

    Tja sommige Brusselse politici wlllen graag hun idiote beloningen behouden en stoken wat en Biden wil spierballen laten zien met slagveld Europa.

    Moeten we niet intrappen! Wel Poetin geen grapjes want je kriijgt dan ech de bommen op je eien kop.

    Oekraïne is geen lid van de NAVO.
    Dat is de reden waarom het Westen niet zal ingrijpen als Rusland overgaat tot landjepik.
    Dat zullen ze stap voor stap doen en liefst uitgelokt.
    De strategie die voor de hand ligt nadat Joe Biden heeft gesuggereerd dat het dan allemaal wel meevalt.

    In an interview with RFE/RL on January 27, Blinken said Washington still doesn't know what the Kremlin's endgame is for Ukraine, or for its demands to rewrite Europe’s existing security structure.

    U.S., NATO, Russian, and other European diplomats met for three rounds of high stakes talks in Geneva, Brussels, and Vienna earlier this month, to try avert a new full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia.

    In addition to presenting the two draft proposals, Russian diplomats demanded a written response from the United States and NATO.

    On January 26, the U.S. ambassador in Moscow presented Washington's written response to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

    Dit is de kern. Laat de mensen daar het zelf uitzoeken. Denk aan Afghanistan. Volgens NPO waren ze allemaal voor de mooie democratie. De werkelijkheid was dat de Taliban er zonder tegenstand konden binnen komen onder applaus van de Afghanen

    Een huurlingen leger, de Russische "Wagner" groep, in de Centraal Afrikaanse Republiek heeft
    Steun heeft gegeven aan de Venozuelaanse President om een opstand te onderdrukken en daar leger onderdelen heeft gestationeerd
    Steun geeft met militaire vliegtuigen aan de opstandelingen leider Haftar in Libie in diens strijd om het bezit van de olievelden

    Tel eens de gezamelijke defensie uitgaven Engeland en Frankrijk Duitsland etc bij elkaar op. Zou me als Poetin erg zorgen gaan maken.

    Het beste lijkt mij hel direct na mislukken diplomatie hemzelf en die zakkenvullers om hem heen uit te schakelen. Gewoon direct doen bij eerste troepen beweging van dit zielig macho manneke die gefaald is in zijn land echt tot vooruitgang en gedeelde welvaart te brengen.

    Six Russian landing ships that left the Baltic Sea have entered the Mediterranean:

    3 entered the Mediterranean Sea today, where the Russian Ministry of Defense has said they will take part in naval maneuvers.

    However, with tensions surrounding Russia and Ukraine remaining high, there has been concern that the amphibious flotilla’s ultimate destination may be the Black Sea. From there they would be well-positioned to support a potential new Russian intervention in Ukraine.

    The three vessels from the Russian Navy’s Northern Fleet, the Project 775 Ropucha class amphibious warfare ships Olenegorskiy Gornyak and Georgiy Pobedonosets and the Project 11711 Ivan Gren class landing ship Pyotr Morgunov, were spotted entering the Mediterranean earlier today via the Strait of Gibraltar.

    Latest Ukraine news from January 27: Foreign minister says Kyiv has no objections to US response to Russia’s security demands.

    Moscow has begun studying highly-anticipated responses from the United States and NATO to Russia’s sweeping security demands.

    In December, after building up troops at the Ukraine border, Russia called on NATO to pull back its forces and weapons from Eastern Europe and permanently block Ukraine, a former Soviet state, from becoming a member.

    But in a written response to those demands, delivered in person on Wednesday by the US ambassador in Moscow, Washington repeated its commitment to upholding NATO’s “open-door” policy. Shortly after, NATO, which is led by the US, said it had delivered its own reply “in parallel with the United States”.

    On Thursday, as the papers were handed to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said there was “no positive response to the main question”, referring to the potential for Ukraine to join the alliance. But “there is a response which gives hope for the start of a serious conversation on secondary questions”, he said in a statement.
