    ik ben degene die je er op wijst dat van alle 'gristenen' alleen de blanke evangelicals hun hulpbehoevende medemens buitensluiten.
    Dezelfde groep was verantwoordelijk voor het verkiezen van trump.

    (en ik ken een aantal welgestelde blanke evangelicals, die ik dit soort denkbeelden heb horen ventileren. In hun huis van pakweg $750K zeggen dat 'we' geen geld hebben voor de armen der aarde. Gelukkig hebben ze wel geld om hun zwembad te verwarmen.)

    Gov. Cuomo has just signed a law into effect that would allow Congress to access Donald Trump's state tax returns from NY state. Although state returns do not always match federal numbers, most of the calculations and deductions are similar and would at least give a baseline.

    CLINT, Tex. — Since the Border Patrol opened its station in Clint, Tex., in 2013, it was a fixture in this West Texas farm town. Separated from the surrounding cotton fields and cattle pastures by a razor-wire fence, the station stood on the town’s main road, near a feed store, the Good News Apostolic Church and La Indita Tortillería. Most people around Clint had little idea of what went on inside. Agents came and went in pickup trucks; buses pulled into the gates with the occasional load of children apprehended at the border, four miles south.

    But inside the secretive site that is now on the front lines of the southwest border crisis, the men and women who work there were grappling with the stuff of nightmares.

    Outbreaks of scabies, shingles and chickenpox were spreading among the hundreds of children who were being held in cramped cells, agents said. The stench of the children’s dirty clothing was so strong it spread to the agents’ own clothing — people in town would scrunch their noses when they left work. The children cried constantly. One girl seemed likely enough to try to kill herself that the agents made her sleep on a cot in front of them, so they could watch her as they were processing new arrivals.

    “It gets to a point where you start to become a robot,” said a veteran Border Patrol agent who has worked at the Clint station since it was built. He described following orders to take beds away from children to make more space in holding cells, part of a daily routine that he said had become “heartbreaking.”

    U.N. human rights chief ‘deeply shocked’ by migrant detention center conditions in Texas

    United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet said Monday that she is “appalled by the conditions” being forced upon migrants after they cross the southern U.S. border and admonished the federal government for failing to find noncustodial alternatives.

    “Any deprivation of liberty of adult migrants and refugees should be a measure of last resort,” she said, adding that where detention is necessary, it should be for the shortest period and under conditions that satisfy international human rights standards.

    “Clearly, border management measures must comply with the State’s human rights obligations and should not be based on narrow policies aimed only at detecting, detaining and expeditiously deporting irregular migrants,” Bachelet said.

    The high commissioner singled out the treatment of migrant children, saying she was “deeply shocked that children are forced to sleep on the floor in overcrowded facilities, without access to adequate healthcare or food, and with poor sanitation conditions.”

    Deze rechtszaak is van gigantische proporties.

    Jeffrey Epstein had als miljardair contacten met de hoogste kringen in politiek, entertainment en het zakenleven.

    Deze rechtszaak overschrijdt de politieke tegenstellingen.

    Jeffrey Epstein handelde in kinderen. Misbruikte minderjarigen. En gaf gelegenheid aan de rich en famous deze kinderen te misbruiken.

    Dit gaat over kinderverkrachting, handel in kinderen en ze misbruiken als slaven.

    Dit staat boven de partijen.

    Als eerste staat Jeffrey Epstein terecht en het is te hopen dat alle mensen die zich, dank zij hem, schuldig maakten aan kindermisbruik, aangeklaagd worden.

    While hiring Epstein, a noted mathematics genius, was not strange on its face, the hire was unusual for a number of reasons. Epstein had not earned a college degree as he dropped out of New York’s prestigious Cooper Union. The other odd circumstance was that the new teacher was only 20 years of age.

    De muur bij Mexico om drugssmokkel tegen te gaan? De drugspartijen zijn zo groot dat zij per schip de US binnenkomen. De muur is symbool politiek en verder zinloos.

    Epstein verklaart : niet schuldig

    Toelichting door aanklagers en verdediging

    Rechter verdaagt de zaak naar Donderdag
    Dit is een recht van de verdediging om de zaak 3 dagen te vertragen, zodat zij de mogelijkheid hebben zich in de zaak te verdiepen. Bovendien kunnen zij zich voorbereiden om een verzoek tot vrijlating op borgtocht aan te vragen.
    De indruk is dat hij geen borgtocht zal krijgen aangezien hij middels vermogen, bezit van eigen vliegtuig en huis in het buitenland, vluchtgevaarlijk is. Echter de rechter beslist, waarschijnlijk donderdag over mogelijke vrijlating op borg.

    De verdediging wijst erop dat Epstein al in Florida veroordeeld is voor het omgaan met prostituees.
    Bovendien wijst de verdediging op de NPA (non prosecution agreement) vastgelegd in de rechtszaak-uitspraak in Florida in 2008.

    Aanklagers wijzen erop dat de non-prosecution agreement beperkt is tot Florida. Deze zaak loopt in New York en is dus niet van toepassing.
    Aanklagers wijzen erop dat het geen prostitutie betreft. Dit zou toestemming inhouden van het slachtoffer. Een minderjarig kind kan nooit toestemming geven. Er is derhalve sprake van misbruik cq verkrachting.

    Rechter Berman sluit de zaak en bepaalt dat de volgende zitting 15 Juli is om 10:00 's ochtends (EST). Maandag volgende week dus.

    De Amerikaanse politie heeft miljardair Jeffrey Epstein in New Jersey opgepakt. Hij wordt verdacht van het seksueel uitbuiten en misbruiken van minderjarige meisjes, jaren terug. Epstein, die in het verleden al beschuldigd werd van het lastigvallen van meisjes, werd op het vliegveld van Teterboro gearresteerd, waar hij een privé-vliegtuig heeft staan.

    Bij het artikel over de arrestatie van miljardair en seks-met-meisjes-verslaafde Jeffrey Epstein plaatst de @volkskrant een foto van hem met Trump. Dat is misleiding. De echte compagnon van Epstein was Bill Clinton - Maar dat staat zo lullig in een linkse krant, aldus Leon de Winter.
