    Trump blijft geloven in handelsdeal met China - media

    (ABM FN-Dow Jones) De Amerikaanse president Donald Trump blijft geloven in een handelsakkoord met China. Dit bleek uit een optreden van de president bij de zakenzender van het Amerikaanse Fox.

    "Ik denk dat veel mensen wachten op een deal met China", zei Trump, die voorspelt dat een deal meer impact zal hebben dan de markt nu wellicht voorziet. "Ik denk dat we heel dicht bij een akkoord zijn", voegde hij toe, "maar dat betekent niet dat we er al zijn".

    Nog altijd overwegen de VS om hogere importheffingen te zetten op auto’s en auto-onderdelen. En volgens Trump heeft de Europese Unie Amerika net zo slecht behandeld als China dit deed.

    Opioid crisis

    Purdue is het farmaceutische familiebedrijf van de familie Sackler. In 1996 patenteerden zij het middel oxycontin.
    Een uiterst sterk pijnstillend middel. Mag slechts in minimale dosis worden toegediend. Dit strict onder medische begeleiding.
    Echter in haar promotie bij artsen stimuleerde het bedrijf middels bonussen om grotere doses toe te schrijven.

    Het gevolg daarvan is dat miljoenen Amerikanen aan het middel verslaafd raakten. Oxycontin staat in het centrum van de opioid crisis. ook stapten mensen die het middel niet meer konden betalen over op andere verdovende middelen , zoals cocaine, heroine etc. De opioid crisis heeft vele doden veroorzaakt.

    Momenteel loopt er een rechtszaak tegen de familie Sackler.

    Public school campuses in Charlottesville will be shuttered Friday for a second straight day — and more than 4,300 students will be kept out of classrooms — after a threat of racial violence surfaced online.

    Police said in a statement that the online threat was directed at Charlottesville High School .

    Authorities declined to further describe the threat, but images circulating on Reddit and other social media sites referred to a post on 4chan, an anonymous online messaging board. The post included a racist meme, used slurs for blacks and Latinos, and threatened to attack students of color at Charlottesville High.

    Charlottesville police spokesman Tyler Hawn said the decision to close an entire school system was done as a precaution.

    Het Britse National Portrait Gallery heeft een donatie geweigerd van pound sterling 1 miljoen door de familie Sackler.

    National Portrait Gallery jointly agreed not to proceed at this time with a pound sterling 1 million donation from the family Sackler, whose US pharmaceutical company Purdue Pharma LP makes the highly addictive opioid prescription painkiller OxyContin.

    Dit wordt beschouwd als een harde klap , die de status van de familie als filantropisch, ernstig schaadt.

    Niet zozeer dat zij een zware pijnstiller maken is het probleem.Zij maakten zich schuldig aan : De agressieve stimulans om bonussen aan artsen te geven om extra doses te geven bij ernstige pijn , en het middel ten onrechte voor te schrijven als een mindere pijn dit middel niet rechtvaardigt. Dit werkt verslaving in de hand bij mensen die gewoon een medische behandeling krijgen en daarbij hun dokter vertrouwen.

    De FBI is misschien in London voor een onderzoek. Maar ze kunnen er ook zijn om iemand op te halen en naar de US te brengen. In de rechtszaak tegen Roger Stone wordt verwezen naar WikiLeaks.

    Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Thursday that it is "possible" that President Trump is meant to save the Jewish people.

    He made the comments during an interview in Jerusalem with the Christian Broadcasting Network.

    Zwangere vrouwen reizen naar de US voor "vakantie", Hun kind wordt in de US geboren en heeft automatisch recht op een US passport. Het kind heeft US citizenship en kan gebruik maken van alle rechten in de US. Vervolgens reizen zij weer terug naar hun land met het kind met dubbele nationaliteit.
    Als het kind 21 is kan een GreenCard aanvragen voor de ouders.
    Het is niet illegaal en jaarlijks honderden vrouwen die dit doen.

    Hiervan wordt voornamelijk gebruik gemaakt door vrouwen uit Rusland, China en Nigeria.

    Russische vrouwen betalen een broker $ 20 tot $50 duizend. Deze verzorgt de reis, reisdocumenten,accomodatie en ziekenhuis.

    19 mensen aangeklaagd. 3 zijn gearresteerd en 16 voortvluchtig.
    Onderzoek is gestart in 2015. Blijkbaar heeft de organisatie van birth tourism zich schuldig gemaakt aan strafbare feiten.
    De organisatie regelde dat zwangere Chinese vrouwen in Southern California de geboorte van hun kind lieten plaats vinden. Hierdoor kreeg het kind automatisch een US passport.

    Rechtszaak Jeffrey Epstein

    In 2006/2008 liep rechtszaak waarbij hij beschuldigd werd van seksueel misbruik van minderjarige meisjes.
    Alexander Acosta(nu Minister van werkgelegenheid onder Trump) was toen de Federale Aanklager.
    Alan Dershowitz was een van de vele advocaten van Epstein.
    Acosta heeft het toen met de advocaten op een akkoord gegooid. Slechts veroordeeld voor een prostitutiezaak met 13 maanden cel. Tevens financiele compensatie voor de slachtoffers. Dit is zonder medeweten van de slachtoffers geregeld.

    4 december 2018 nieuwe rechtszaak gestart. Rechter oordeelde dat Acosta niet juist heeft gehandeld als Federale Aanklager.Hij is nalatig geweest de dames op de hoogte te stellen van een akkoord. Rechter gaf de dames te overwegen hoe zij verder stappen willen ondernemen tegen Epstein. En moesten dit 19 3 2019 bekendmaken.

    Intussen had Miami Herald(nieuwspaper) middels een FIOA(freedom of information act) gevraagd om verzegelde documenten openbaar te maken. Rechter gaf betrokken partijen tot 19 3 de tijd hier eventueel bezwaar te maken. Echter op het laatste moment kwamen er twee bezwaren. Hierdoor loopt er vertraging op tot na 19 3 en is rechtbank bezig deze te behandelen. Komende dagen zal duidelijkheid geven of de verzegelde documenten vrijkomen.

    Dan krijgt ook de pers en publiek meer inzage in wat er zich heeft afgespeeld.

    De twee bezwaren komen van anonieme partijen. Jane Doe(anonieme vrouw), waarschijnlijk een van de slachtoffers. Zij staat positief tegenover vrijgave verzegeling , mits haar anonimiteit gewaarborgd is.
    John Doe( anonieme man) , deze heeft bezwaren tegen vrijgave van verzegeling aangegeven. Het is totaal onbekend wie deze persoon zou kunnen zijn .

    In ieder geval heeft er vertraging plaatsgevonden en afwachten of er verzegelde documenten gaan worden vrijgegeven.

    CNN Panel Erupts Over Trump Economy: ‘Completely Irresponsible’ to Tell ‘Public Things that Are Not Correct’

    CNN’s New Day went on a wild ride on Friday when Stephen Moore and Catherine Rampell clashed over President Trump‘s connection to the fluctuating state of the national economy.

    The conversation began when Erica Hill brought up Trump’s recent antagonism of the Federal Reserve, along with the market volatility seen in the recent, major swings of the Dow Jones Industrial Average. As Moore defended Trump’s fight with Fed Chairman Jerome Powell, he claimed that market downturn happened because Powell spoke of rate hikes in a recent press conference, which prompted Rampell to retort with “that’s not true.”

    As Moore and Rampell challenged each other on the timing of the contraction, they started sparing over economic deflation and changes in price for certain goods as a result of trade wars with China. Rampell argued that soybean prices have fallen because China stopped buying them from the U.S., and she lambasted Moore by saying “it’s completely irresponsible for you to tell the public things that are not correct.”

    “I am old enough to remember when ten years ago, during an actual deflation, you went on TV on a rival network and said we were about to have hyperinflation and it was irresponsible for the Fed to keep rates low. Deflation means prices are going down, and if you go to the supermarket, prices are not going down. When we have normal inflation, suddenly your hard-money ways have disappeared, and you’re claiming the Fed should pump money into the economy.”

    Moore pushed back on the idea that he was making up numbers while defending Trump on the basis of disrupting international economics as much as politics. When Hill tried to take the conversation in a new direction by asking about Trump’s possible upcoming meeting with Powell, Rampell didn’t see that leading to anything good, saying “he fundamentally does not understand the central bank needs to be politically independent.”

    As Rampell accused Moore of being “completely irresponsible” by urging Trump continues to pressure or fire the Fed chair, he argued that the Fed should be responsive to the president, and that led to a whole new fight over the organizations independence.

    President Trump sparked confusion on Friday by announcing the cancellation of sanctions aimed at North Korea that were just announced by his own Treasury Department, an apparent effort to salvage nuclear negotiations.

    “It was announced today by the U.S. Treasury that additional large scale Sanctions would be added to those already existing Sanctions on North Korea. I have today ordered the withdrawal of those additional Sanctions!” Trump tweeted Friday.

    Trump administration officials could not immediately explain which sanctions Trump was referring to because no new sanctions were announced Friday. However, the Treasury Department announced new sanctions late Thursday against two Chinese shipping companies for their alleged role in evading United Nations sanctions against North Korea.

    When asked to explain Trump’s tweet, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders simply noted that “President Trump likes Chairman Kim and he doesn’t think these sanctions will be necessary.”

    Grote aanklacht tegen de Sackler Familie. Eigenaar van het familie bedrijf Purdue Pharma, maker van de pijnstiller OxyContin.

    Sackler family is being sued by a conglomerate of more than 500 cities, counties and Native American Tribes. Plaintiffs include people in 26 States who blame Purdue for creating "the worst drug crisis in American history"
    It says the Sackler familie broke laws to "enrich themselves to the tune of billions of dollars, while hundreds of thousands of Americans died ".

    The lawsuit is filed in the Southern District of New York.

    The National Portrait Gallery in London had een gift van de familie om deze reden geweigerd.
    Ook de Tate gallery in London accepteert geen donaties meer van de familie.

    BREAKING: U.S. posts largest monthly budget deficit on record in February

    The U.S. posted its biggest monthly budget deficit on record last month, amid a 20 percent drop in corporate tax revenue and a boost in spending so far this fiscal year.

    The budget gap widened to $234 billion in February, compared with a fiscal gap of $215.2 billion a year earlier. That gap surpassed the previous monthly record of $231.7 billion set seven years ago, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.

    February’s shortfall helped push the deficit for the first five months of the government’s fiscal year to $544.2 billion, up almost 40 percent from the same period the previous year, the Treasury Department said in its monthly budget report Friday. The release was delayed a week by the government shutdown earlier this year.
