(TSX-V: PYR) (OTCQB: PYRNF) (the “Company” or “PyroGenesis”) that designs,
develops, manufactures and commercializes plasma waste-to-energy systems and plasma torch
products, announces today that it has signed a contract for CDN$8,260,000 with HPQ Silicon Resources
Inc., formally Uragold Bay Resources Inc. (the “Client” or “HPQ”), to provide a 200 metric tonne (MT) per
year PUREVAPTM pilot system to produce silicon metal directly from quartz (the “Contract”).
PyroGenesis has already received over CDN$1,000,000, or more than 12% of the value of the Contract..
This Contract is for the design, fabrication, assembly, commissioning and testing of a 200 MT per year
PUREVAPTM pilot system (the “System”). The design, fabrication and assembly of the System is expected
to take twelve (12) to sixteen (16) months, after which time the System will undergo a commissioning
phase expected to last an additional two (2) months, with a final testing period expected to last ten (10)
months. The System will initially be installed at PyroGenesis’ facility in Montreal, Canada, and upon
completion of the testing period, the System will be relocated to a permanent production site, to be

    Meteen ingedoken. Thanks.
Erg interessant. Even opzoek naar de meest recente updates.
Vooral het bericht uit 2018 spreekt me aan.

"Q. Would you invest more into HPQ?
    A. Yes, we would consider it if it made sense, but let me be very very clear on this point. PyroGenesis is
investing each and every day into HPQ. I have said this before and I will say it again, PyroGenesis does
not have time or money to waste on projects that do not have future potential. Each and every day
PyroGenesis has to decide where to allocate its resources, the most important of which is its time.
Plasma expertise, such as ours, does not grow on trees and we must be very discerning as to where we
dedicate this valuable resource. Do we dedicate it to Additive Manufacturing (powders for 3D printers),
DrosriteTM, other development projects…or HPQ? The profit from the HPQ contract does not in and of
itself justify dedicating such scarce resources to the project, the royalty from the success of the project,
    does.
    Q. And that is a good segue into our last question. Some investors of HPQ have accused them of
paying PyroGenesis for a project that has no risk to PyroGenesis. How would you respond to them?
    A. Besides my answer above, where I describe the opportunity cost of the HPQ contract and the risk
associated with that, I would have to add that PyroGenesis is not a charity and we are in the business
of making money. Our expertise is unique and arguably, it is that exact expertise that has given this
project, and HPQ, a life and a future. In short, you get what you pay for and we would not have done it
for less…in fact, we wanted more and were negotiated to the current arrangement.
My final comment to any detractor of HPQ and HPQ management is: wake up. Wake up to the unique
management you have, a management that was not only able to identify this opportunity, but also the
players required to carry out the project. In fact, it took a lot of convincing by HPQ management to get
PyroGenesis’ interest as HPQ did not fit our client/risk profile at all. All this to say that, take it from
experience, encouraging management and getting behind it goes a long way to getting management up
in the morning…to do it again and again …which, can do nothing but help the stock…. then bashing them
with perverted 20/20 hindsight. Just a thought.."

CyBe Construction Selected To 3D Print Houses In UAE

3D Printing Media reported that CyBe Construction, a Dutch specialist in concrete 3D printing, has been selected as the technology provider for a 3D printed house project in the UAE. The house will be built as part of the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park initiative which aims to 3D print a series of buildings in the area with the goal of transforming the city of Sharjah into an architectural hub. The first 3D printed house of the SRTI Park project, supported by CyBe and the American University of Sharjah, is expected to be built by Q3 2019. The house will be constructed using CyBe 3D printing construction technology with the help of students, faculty and researchers from AUS, who will be trained in using the AM platform.

His Excellency Hussain Al Mahmoudi, CEO of SRTI Park, said that “We are delighted to launch this ambitious project, which translates the vision of the park and its ambitious strategy to introduce all kinds of reliable future technologies to serve and facilitate people. In order to become a regional development center for 3D printing construction, we aim to create a suitable research and development environment for the private, academic and public sector to benefit.”

The UAE is already something of a leader in construction 3D printing: the world’s first 3D printed office building is, after all, found in Dubai. Famously, Dubai has also set out an ambitious 3D printing strategy that aims to 3D print 25% of every new building constructed by 2025.

In Sharjah, the UAE’s third largest city, the 3D printing construction bug has apparently also been caught. SRTI Park hopes that the construction of 3D printed houses and buildings will create a proactive and supportive environment for experimenting and researching in the field of building and next-gen technologies.

HPQ GEN2 TESTING CONFIRMS PUREVAP™ PROCESS CAN SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCE THE COST OF MAKING SILICON METAL BY LOWERING RAW MATERIAL COSTS
Details are included in the latest report submitted to the company by PyroGenesis Canada Inc — comparing the performance of PUREVAP™ versus conventional processes used by all the Metallurgical Grade Silicon Metal (Mg Si) producers

The PUREVAP™ QRR process converts Quartz into 99.99% Silicon Metal, (referred to as 4N) in a single step. At this purity, the metal can then be refined metallurgically to 5N (SoG-Si). The whole process uses far less energy and materials – and costs less – than the traditional process.

    World's Largest 3D-Printed Home by S-Squared 3D Printers

S-Squared 3D Printers Inc and it's revolutionary Autonomous Robotic Construction System, have built the largest 3D printed home in the world. ARCS is a patent pending technology that allows multiple machines to work together to create a home with little or no human assistance. Delays in building projects are a thing of the past now that building a 3D printed home is possible in hours - not days or months. The 3D building process ushers in a new level of affordability for homeowners and businesses like never before. In addition, this new technology can reduce construction costs by as much as 70%.

ARCS uses a proprietary low-power consumption technology. This essentially makes the operation more eco-friendly, safe, and reduces the use of resources such as electricity. The current used on the machine is about the same as a standard hair dryer.

Furthermore, less than ten gallons of fuel is needed for the entire task. It is well documented that OSHA instructors have praised this machine for it's potential to reduce work-related industry accidents.

Toyoda Gosei Investing in 3D Print Company Slab

Toyoda Gosei has decided to invest in Slab a venture company that develops and manufactures plastic 3D printers for faster speed in product development and greater efficiency in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing. With this investment by Toyoda Gosei, the two companies will work together to raise the precision and speed of plastic 3D printers. This will both speed up product development and advance the development of flexible production technology for the efficient manufacturing of low-volume, high-mix products.

The automotive industry is going through a time of accelerated change, with intensified competition in the development of new CASE2 technologies. This demands technical innovations in development and production that are not bound by existing frameworks. Plastic 3D printers have begun to be used for this, but applications have been limited due to restrictions in product quality and forming time.

''Separately'' (dit woordje maakt het verschil. Zacks zegt verkopen en een ander orgaan zegt kopen met price target van 4$ binnen 12 maanden en dat meldt Zacks dan weer, echter is dit niet hun advies) , Zacks Investment Research downgraded shares of Sigma Labs from a “hold” rating to a “sell” rating in a report on Tuesday.

Materialise, which recently received FDA clearance for its Mimics Enlight cardiovascular planning software suite, is partnering with Sigma Labs to integrate Sigma Labs PrintRite3Dinspection tool with the Materialise Control Platform (MCP), an embedded hardware solution that gives full control to the end user.

Combining the control technology with in-situ process monitoring for metal additive manufacturing (AM) will give customers control of the production process, improving productivity.

“This project has the potential to be an important leap forward for the metal AM industry,” says John Rice, CEO of Sigma Labs. “In the laser-powderbed process there are several machine and process factors that cause machines to be unrepeatable. The solution for managing these variables is better controls and software tools that drive AM machines, like self-driving automobiles. Materialise and Sigma Labs are allying on what may become a significant breakout toward this solution.”
