    Er was dus wel een persbericht, alleen iets later. Waarschijnlijk wat mensen met voorkennis die de koers hoger hebben gezet. Hier het persbericht:

    "Toronto, Ontario, April 29, 2009 – Colossus Minerals Inc. (“Colossus”) (TSX:CSI) is pleased to announce that it has commenced a reverse circulation (“RC”) drilling program at Serra Pelada in Para State, Brazil. The RC program supplements the three diamond drill rigs currently operating on the Central Mineralised Zone (“CMZ”). RC drilling is being utilised to test for mineralisation outboard of the CMZ, but within the bounds of a conceptual open pit development, to evaluate tailings and waste (“montoeira”) from the historical open pit. Furthermore, the program will increase the productivity of diamond drilling by drilling RC pre-collars and facilitate hydrological tests in previously completed drill-holes.

    To date, seven RC drill-holes have been completed. The completed drill-holes amount to 700 metres out of the proposed minimum of 2000 metre program, with the potential to expand the program upon completion. RC sample quality and recoveries have been adequate for assaying to depths of around 100 metres in siltstones and 60 metres in sandstones.

    The Company is pleased to report that it has concluded the purchase of the outstanding 15% net profit interest of its future earnings from the Serra Pelada project for a total US$4.2 million. The Company decided to make its final payment of US$2.0 million given the strength of its balance sheet from the recently completed financing of C$24.73 million."

    DETAILS

    Diamond drill-holes SPD-020A through SPD-022, the first three of Colossus’ Phase II drilling program, were HQ-cored for a total of 916 metres. Drilling was focused on the Central Mineralised Zone (“CMZ”), which overprints metasediments occupying the hinge and inner limbs of a northwest-facing, southwest-plunging, reclined synclinorium that plunges gently southwest from the historical open pit. The CMZ is characterised by intense hydrothermal carbonaceous and argillic alteration, inboard of siliceous alteration partially mantling the synclinorial hinge.     GOLD MOVEMENTS

    …Colossus Minerals Inc is moving towards production on its flagship project, Serra Pelada, located in Para state. Serra Pelada is the most famous former mine in Brazil, as it was once host to the largest precious metal rush in Latin American history. In the 1980s, up to 80,000 artisanal miners working daily produced over 2Moz of gold as well as an unknown amount of platinum and palladium out of a 400x300x110m hand dug open pit.

    Colossus’ phase II development programme in the Central Mineralised Zone at Serra Pelada includes at least 5,000m of drilling, geotechnical studies, metallurgical flowsheet design and the initiation of a baseline environmental study. The first set of assay results from its phase II drilling continued to yield high-grade intercepts including 27.9m at 35.49g/t gold, 19.89g/t platinum and 25.14g/t palladium. The platinum and palladium grades encountered are among the highest assay results achieved from the company’s drilling to date. More assay results are pending and will be released as they become available.

    With approximately C$26 million (US$22.4 million) in its treasury, Colossus is well financed to push Serra Pelada towards production, it says. The company has already earned a 51% interest in Serra Pelada and anticipates increasing this interest up to 75% prior to the end of 2009 by fulfilling various work commitments and option payments to its joint-venture partner COOMIGASP. It will complete its final earn-in of 75% at the end of the year upon completing its current development programme. Colossus will then file its final exploration report for Serra Pelada with Brazil’s National Department for Mineral Production– with a view to obtaining a mining lease.

    Ari Sussman, Colossus chief executive officer, said: “Colossus continues to work aggressively at Serra Pelada in the pursuit of becoming a producer as soon as it is feasible. We are excited to take on this challenge given the abundance of the oxidised high-grade precious metals in the Central Mineralised Zone.”

    Pas op, dit zijn slechts de highlight. Dus pas op voor het nugget effect. Je zou meerdere results moeten krijgen uit dezelfde hole over een grotere lengte. Je moet alle resultaten bekijken.
    Ben daar zelf met AEX Appleton behoorlijk nat op gegaan (het nuggeteffect).

    Maar met Colussus zit het wel snor geloof ik!

    Alleen: Rhodium? Iridium? Platinum? Palladium? Leuk hoor maar wat moet je met al die troep? ;-)

    Nugget effect is uitgesloten bij CSI. Dat het mogelijk is om selectief te boren geloof ik echter wel, aangezien het terrein waarop ze opereren niet zo groot is en welbekend. Maar dit doet elke junior en dan nog halen anderen de grades maar zeer zelden die CSI laat zien...

(“Colossus”) (TSX:CSI) is pleased to announce that the Company has successfully confirmed a new mineralized horizon called the Western Mineralised Zone (“WMZ”) during its Phase II drilling program on the Serra Pelada Project, the Colossus-COOMIGASP joint venture located in Para State, Brazil.

    HIGHLIGHTS

    * SPC-012 intersected
    4.15 metres at 8.04 g/t gold, 154.5 g/t platinum and 245.8 g/t palladium,
    including
    2.0 metres at 14.05 g/t gold, 304.6 g/t platinum and 488.5 g/t palladium

    * Ultra high-grades of platinum and palladium are hosted mainly by iron oxide-rich breccias with associated siliceous and haematitic-argillic alteration

    * The Phase II drilling results indicate a shallowly dipping and plunging mineralised zone (the Western Mineralised Zone) outside the Central Mineralised Zone, along at least 50m strike length, open to the northeast , southwest and laterally

    Ik ben dol op ultra high-grades.

    Zet hem op Colossus!!

    Koers nu al tegen de $ 4,50. Het aantal goede berichten houdt ook nog niet op. High-grades vinden ze bij de vleet en de financiering hebben ze ook al helemaal geregeld. Binnenkort verwacht ik wel een kleine dip in de koers als alle warrants omgezet zijn in aandelen (zie ook persbericht van CSI), omdat er dan kan worden gecashed.

    Nu is het afwachten tot er daadwerkelijk goud gedolven kan gaan worden. Het management lijkt mij er wel toe in staat.

    Tja als als als.

    Als je was blijven zitten dan was je al bijna op de helft van een tenbagger.

    Kijk eens naar mijn EXS & PGD. (ooit via een abbo van je weet wel wie aangeschaft). Nadat ik ze had verkocht beiden verdubbeld!

    En GBG. gekocht op 1,80. emissie dus dalen naar 1,00. Verkocht op 1,20 ofzo met dik verlies. En daarna weer vrolijk doorstijgen naar 1,80.

    LOL. Gewoon blijven lachen, net wat je zegt, je hebt in feite maar twee keer een tenbagger nodig........
