    Vakbond zal niet overhaast faillissement Saab aanvragen

    STOCKHOLM (Dow Jones)--De Zweedse vakbond IF Metall maakte dinsdag bekend dat een beslissing voor een faillissementsaanvraag voor Saab Automobile, dochter van Swedish Automobile nv (SWAN.AE), woensdag genomen zou kunnen worden na afloop van een vakbondsbijeenkomst.

    "Onze leden hebben duidelijk gemaakt dat ze de kwestie niet willen haasten", stelt Darko Davidovic, juridisch adviseur van IF Metall, tegenover Dow Jones Newswires.

    Davidovic voegt toe dat Saab de vakbond om meer tijd heeft gevraagd omdat de autoproducent stelt dichtbij een financiele oplossing te zijn. Woordvoerster Gunilla Gustavs van Saab wilde geen commentaar geven.

    "Als ze morgen niet met een oplossing komen dan zullen we een beslissing moeten nemen", aldus Davidovic.

    IF Metall heeft woensdag een ontmoeting met de lokale vakbond.

    Stefan Lofven, hoofd van IF Metall, stelt in een verklaring dat men moet begrijpen dat de leden geen geld hebben, en tezelfdertijd hun baan graag behouden.

    IF Metall heeft tot 23 september om een faillissementsaanvraag bij de rechtbank in te dienen, nadat de vakbond vrijdag het wettelijke recht om bankroet aan te vragen heeft verkregen doordat Saab de salarissen van augustus nog niet uitbetaald had.

    "Het is zeer onwaarschijnlijk dat we zolang wachten", stelt Davidovic.

    Door onbetaalde rekeningen ligt de productie van Saab al vijf maanden stil. De onderneming gaf eerder aan dat de productie op zijn vroegst in de week van 29 augustus zou worden hervat, maar door een gebrek aan financiele middelen heeft het nog steeds geen overeenstemming met alle leveranciers bereikt.

    Augustus was de derde opeenvolgende maand dat Saab de salarissen van de circa 3.600 werknemers niet op tijd kon uitkeren.

    Exact wat ik al zei, de vakbond heeft van sommige leden te horen gekregen niet te hard te lopen en daarop de faillissementsaanvraag vertraagd. Het heeft dus niets te maken met positieve ontwikkelingen bij Saab

    Alhoewel zeker opmerkelijk de woordenkeus van de vakbond is het niet onlogisch dat de vakbond het sentiment w.b.t. Saab niet onderuit haalt. Het is immers duidelijk dat het overleven van Saab voor de werknemers de beste optie zou zijn, een negatief sentiment creëren verkleind de kans hierop. Tegelijk moeten ze opkomen voor hun leden en zorgen dat de procedures op tijd gestart worden. Wat ze momenteel doen is doorzetten van hun procedures en ondertussen geven ze Saab de kans om met het loon op de proppen te komen.
    2 Vragen rijzen er wel bij mij, 1 waarom die woordkeuze, 2 waarom gister wel spreken over een mogelijke aanvraag en die vandaag voorlopig weer even intrekken?
    Ik denk dat deze spitsing wellicht een beetje binnen de vakbond zit, een gedeelte wil harde maatregelen en zijn het zat, een ander gedeelte wil niet dat de vakbond een mogelijke redding (hoe klein de kans ook) in de weg staat.
    Ik blijf van mening dat er niets veranderd is in de situatie, de vakbond heeft niets nieuws gehoord maar moet zijn leden op 1 lijn zien te krijgen. Natuurlijk staat het iedereen vrij om hier anders over te denken maar mijn redenatie overwegen kan geen kwaad, toch?
