    Wat hebben jullie met "de grootste stijger van de dag" we gaan alleen maar omlaag!
    KPN kan wel roepen dat het bod te laag is. Maar de aandeelhouders vinden blijkbaar van niet. Ze gooien de aandelen er dik onder de geboden prijs uit.

    Beleggers die net voor het bod zijn ingestapt, nemen nu winst (heel logisch).

    De Slimme banken (banken die voor Carlos Slim werken) moeten de koers elke middag ruim onder de 8 euro brengen (anders zal niemand het bod accepteren).

    Heel normaal dat de koers iets onder het bod blijft liggen (risico premie voor als het niet doorgaat, zelfde voor TNT).

    Dat is matuurlijk allemaal wishfull thinking en wat mijn posting betrof ironie.

    Op het tijdstip dat ik postte, donderde net de hele boel in elkaar en had KPN nog 0,08% winst over. Waarmee het voor héél even de grootste stijger was.

    Een grapje dus.

    Battle of the Latin Telecom Tycoons

    When César Alierta became chief executive officer of Madrid-based Telefónica in 2000, he made Latin American growth a priority. Quickly adding to his company’s presence in Argentina, Peru, and Brazil, Alierta started Telefónica operations in Mexico, going head-to-head with the wireless business of Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim’s América Móvil. The Spanish operator’s price-cutting strategy didn’t please Slim, the world’s richest man, who feared América Móvil’s margins would be pressured, according to a person with knowledge of the matter. Now Slim is returning the favor by expanding in Europe in a way that could mean headaches for Alierta.

    América Móvil is bidding $3.4 billion for up to 28 percent of the former Dutch telecom monopoly Royal KPN. Among KPN’s assets are German mobile-phone carrier E-Plus, which vies for the country’s No. 3 spot with Telefónica’s O2, and the Simyo wireless brand, which competes with Telefónica in Madrid.

    It’s not the first time the two Latin telecom tycoons have sparred on European shores. Slim last tried to acquire a major Western European operator in 2007 with an offer for a stake in Telecom Italia (TI), before he was beaten by Alierta—a move meant to block Slim from getting a foothold in Europe, according to another person with knowledge of the situation who was not authorized to speak publicly and asked not to be identified. That decision “turned out to be a disastrous investment for Telefónica,” says Sanford C. Bernstein (AB) analyst Robin Bienenstock. “Slim is buying an option to build incremental pressure and a growing headache for Alierta when it comes to a potential negotiation of KPN assets in Germany.”

    Slim, who faces slowing subscriber growth in Latin America, is returning to Europe after the debt crisis has left the region’s phone assets at bargain prices. “There’s a lot of logic in consolidating Germany, for instance, into three players, with O2 or Vodafone (VOD) buying KPN assets there,” says Bruno Lippens of Pictet Asset Management in Geneva. “In today’s market, Slim has more financial flexibility than Telefónica.”

    Back in Latin America, there’s been little love lately between the América Móvil and Telefónica chieftains. Slim holds the upper hand in Mexico and Colombia, while Alierta rules Brazil and Chile. While the Spanish carrier boosted its share of Mexican mobile subscribers to 20 percent in 2009, it has since made little progress against América Móvil’s 70 percent position. Telefónica has blamed this in part on regulators, saying they need to restrict Slim’s dominance.

    This year, Telefónica sued Slim’s company, claiming it pulled out of a 2010 agreement on fees paid between phone network operators. América Móvil says it’s only following Mexican regulations, and in turn says Telefónica is backing regulatory actions to reduce Slim’s 60 percent dominance in Colombia. In Brazil, the only Latin American economy larger than Mexico, Telefónica maintains its leading 30 percent market share while Slim struggles, slipping to No. 3 behind Telecom Italia’s TIM unit.

    KPN says América Móvil’s offer of 8 euros ($10.27) a share in cash to increase its current 4.8 percent stake in the Dutch company “substantially undervalues” its worth. Nonetheless, Mexico City-based América Móvil says it expects to win approval from Dutch regulators and carry out the offer by early June.

    After its New World expansion and its almost $10 billion buyout of Brazilian operator Vivo Participacoes (VIV) in 2010, Telefónica is struggling to cut debt and revive its Spanish business as the debt crisis prompts consumers to cancel subscriptions or switch to discount services. Alierta announced 6,500 job cuts last year and in December cut a dividend forecast for the first time in a decade.

    If completed, América Móvil’s alliance with KPN will pave the way for agreements such as roaming, marketing, and joint purchasing, Chief Financial Officer Carlos García-Moreno told analysts. And it could presage more expansion on the Continent. “It clearly would be a possibility to continue to look at Europe,” García-Moreno said, “but we cannot run before we walk.”

    The bottom line: Carlos Slim and César Alierta control 61 percent of wireless service in Latin America. Now they’re crossing swords in Europe.

    Dutch operator KPN is reviewing strategic options for Base, its mobile and fixed business in Belgium that may be worth up to €1.8 billion.
    Base is likely to attract interest from Apax Partners and other private equity firms, reports Bloomberg, citing unnamed sources.
    KPN’s plans are in the initial stages, and it has not decided on a formal auction process so far, but it may send preliminary information to potential buyers in May, said the report.
    The Belgian mobile business started in 1999 as KPN Orange, a joint venture with Hutchison which then owned Orange in the UK. After Orange became part of France Telecom, KPN took 100% ownership and rebranded the business. France Telecom also has a mobile business in Belgium, called Mobistar.
    KPN said in January 2012 that it was seeking “serious” offers for its foreign and domestic business, and that it would accelerate a restructuring programme to deal with expectations of lower profit and cash flow in 2012.
    KPN sold its Simyo MVNO in France to Bouygues Telecom in 2011, and is discussing sale of the Simyo MVNO business in Spain. GTB

    De ebitda voor het belgische deel was 273 miljoen in 2011.

    Dan is de factor 6,6.

    De ebitda voor heel KPN is volgens verwachting van KPN tussen de 4,7 en 4,9 miljard ebitda in 2012.

    We nemen 4,8 miljard maal die factor 6,6 is 31,68 miljard.

    Nettoschuld 11,68 miljard

    Blijft over 20 miljard , aantal aandelen 1.431.522.482 miljard.

    Per aandeel 14 euro.

    Daar steekt 8 euro toch wel erg slapjes af, niet !!!

    Iedereen praat met iedereen, over alles en over alle onderdelen.

    De telecom wereld is wat dat betreft ook maar klein.

    Geinteresseerde partijen in KPN base Belgie, hebben dus in mei 2012 een informatie pakket ontvangen over KPN base Belgie.

    Dus het spel is van alle kanten op de wagen !!

    Mexico's Slim eyeing Telekom Austria stake: report

    (Reuters) - Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim is eyeing a stake in Telekom Austria and is believed to have held initial talks with its two biggest investor groups, Austrian magazine Format reported, without citing sources.

    It said Slim had been in touch with Ronny Pecik - who with partner Naguib Sawiris has built a 20 percent stake in Telekom Austria - and Austrian state holding company OeIAG, Telekom Austria's biggest shareholder with a 28.4 percent stake.

    The report - the second to mention Slim as a potential white-knight investor for Telekom Austria AG - could not be confirmed independently.

    An America Movil spokeswoman in Mexico City declined to comment on the report.

    With little left to shop for in Latin America, where it already operates in 16 countries, plus the United States, America Movil is turning its attention to Europe, where several telecoms hurt by the world economic crisis are emerging as buyout targets.

    Last week, America Movil offered some $3.5 billion to boost its stake in Dutch telecoms company KPN NV to as much as 28 percent.

    The company, which will formally submit the 8 euros-per-share bid to KPN shareholders in June, could pay for the KPN deal fully in cash and still have close to $1 billion left to make more acquisitions.

    America Movil is a well-received commodity in the debt market, where its paper sells fast even in markets like China and Japan, suggesting it would have no problem in raising additional cash if the opportunity arises.

    AUSTRIA BATTLE

    Tough conditions in Europe and fierce competition pushed core earnings at Telekom Austria down nearly 9 percent in the first quarter but the company stuck to its 2012 outlook.

    The Austrian company faces a battle with Pecik and Sawiris who want seats on an expanded supervisory board at Telekom Austria.

    Pecik has made his mark on other companies in which he built stakes with partners before selling again at a profit. Sawiris is one of Egypt's richest men who built a fortune in the mobile phone business and is now a liberal politician.

    Both entrepreneurs may end up holding their stake in Telekom Austria for up to two years before selling to a strategic investor, Format reported, citing unidentified sources.

    Zijn de laatse Morgan Stanley aandelen KPN ook al doorgesluist !!

    Het wordt vandaag nog een hele klus om aan de 7 miljoen omzet te komen !!!

    Lijkt wel of de kleine aandelenbezitters KPN niet meer bestaan.

    Eieren voor hun geld gekozen !
    Voor het zingen de kerk uit !
    Beter een half ei dan een lege dop !

    Helemaal klaar met de financiele maffia !
