    Bijna juli tijd voor een juli draadje.

    Ik las in het FD dat het Noorse oliefonds meer invloed wil in hun belegingen.
    Dit willen ze bereiken door een groter percentage aandelen te kopen om zo meer inspraak te verkrijgen.

    Laten ze nu net een positie in SBMO hebben.

    Ik hoop dat ze die gaan verstevigen.

    OMdat ik vermoed dat we nogal wat modder gaan krijgen de komende maanden, lijkt het me goed om een beetje bij te blijven van wat er uitlekt van het onderzoek in de Braziliaanse media...

    BRASILIA - A team of private research commissioned by SBM Offshore found it difficult to trace the money paid to Julio Faerman - former representative of the company in Brazil, accused of distributing bribes to employees of Petrobras in exchange for leasing contracts floating platforms. After the audit, investigators have not ruled out the possibility that third parties are the "beneficial owners" of resources.

    The information was reported by employees of Petrobras highlighted the SBM committee to investigate the case. According to reports from the state obtained by the "State" after bribery allegations, SBM, which made $ 27 billion contract with the state, triggered Kroll, one of the largest companies in the private investigation industry, who would be to raise members of the Julio Faerman companies.

    Faerman received commissions of approximately 3% made in business with Petrobras. The payments were made by SBM from Switzerland and Monaco.     During the corporate audit companies, bearer bonds were identified by means of which the holder may receive dividends from companies, while formally not its owner. Julio Faerman, however, said in testimony to the SBM that he himself was the ultimate beneficiary of the funds. The former representative explained that the payments were made abroad as a strategy of "tax planning".

    "You can not rule out the possibility that the owners of these companies are legal owners of the shares, but that the actual beneficiaries are the 3rd," the team reported Petrobras, after meetings with officials from the SBM.

    From 2005 to 2011, in all, Faerman received $ 127 million in commissions SBM, as the reports of Petrobras. He is accused of paying bribes to officials of state for rental contracts floating platforms. The complaint was published in the Wikipedia site by a former employee of the company. According to reports obtained by the "State", it is Jonathan David Taylor, former director of SBM in the UK.

    Faerman denies any wrongdoing in negotiations with Petrobras. The reports of the investigation concluded that he had intense contact with former leaders of the state. Paulo" on Sunday, one of the companies Faerman, which represented the SBM in 2011, offered trip to meet Argentine wineries to former directors Jorge Zelada International Area, and Renato de Souza Duque of services, the company's former representative.

    Interessante nieuwe info:

    -het verhaal 1/3 en 2/3 van de commissies (de publicatie op de wikipedia)is dus gebaseerd op het feit dat 2/3 van de commissies naar belastingparadijzen is overgemaakt. Goed nieuws, het argument van tax-planning klinkt niet onwaarschijnlijk, bovendien wordt het m.i. erg lastig om financiele sporen vanaf de maagdeneilanden 100% in beeld te krijgen.
    -Het geeft te denken dat de factfinding in Brazilie beperkt zou blijven tot etentjes en uitjes die zijn aangeboden door Faerman..

    Wereldschokkende bevindingen! Als dit echt het ergste is wat Faerman heeft gedaan is het waarschijnlijk de braafste Braziliaan van de planeet!

    SBM paid trip to former directors of Petrobras

    Dutch company would have funded tour executives of state wineries from Argentina in 2011

    A company of Julio Faerman, suspected of paying bribes to employees of Petrobras for leasing platforms for Dutch SBM Offshore contracts, invited leaders of state and their wives for a trip to Argentine wineries.

    In emails, 2011, Oildrive which has Faerman as a partner, is a "Enogastronomica" six days with the then directors Jorge Zelada, the International area, tour and Renato de Souza Duque, Services division.

    Attached to the internal investigation report of Petrobras, messages were exchanged by businessman Luis Eduardo Barbosa da Silva, Partner Faerman, Sebastian Araujo, then executive Bredero Shaw, producer of pipes for oil exploration, with a copy to the then directors of state. Communications were found in the corporate e-mail box when Zelada, Petrobras apurava suspicion of leaking insider information to SBM.

    The report says it is possible to confirm "the actual occurrence of the trip, as well as those who have paid the expenses of employees and wives." There is, however, the caveat that the directors were not then in the company in the days of the trip. "There are Registry holiday for director Duke in period 5/31 to 3/6 and the director Zelada 1-3 / 6."

    The result of the investigation was sent to the Federal Police, the two CPIs underway in Congress and the Comptroller General of the Union, investigating complaints that SBM Offshore paid bribes to employees of state for leasing contracts floating platforms.

    The first of the messages sent to former directors of Petrobras, April 11, titled "Mendoza, Wine and Friends" presents the schedule of the trip and asks for confirmation of the tour. The script, six days, included the hits "the three best wine producers in Argentina" and experiences in restaurants, between May 31 and June 5.

    Four days later, in another e-mail, Barbosa asks Sebastian to proceed in obtaining reservations and informs the confirmed list. Besides Zelada, Duke and their women are set Faerman, partner and four others. As the message, the group would travel from Galeão Airport in Rio to Buenos Aires business class on May 31. From there, follow for a luxury hotel in the Mendoza region.

    Nog even gezocht naar kenmerken van BVI (Britisch Virgin Islands) als belastingparadijs. Blijken toch een behoorlijk degelijke reputatie te hebben:

    Wat betreft de ‘International Businees Company’ zijn de Britse Virgin Eilanden het toonaangevende gebied bij uitstek, met bovendien een uitstekende prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. De aangeboden diensten zijn er even vakkunding als bijvoorbeeld op de Bahama’s, maar een stuk goedkoper, en de betrouwbaarheid is zo mogelijk nog solider. De geheimhouding daarentegen heeft de laatste jaren wel wat veren gelaten. Gezien de zorg die de eilanden besteden aan hun internationale reputatie zou deze trend zich nog kunnen voortzetten. De Britse Virgin Eilanden zijn daarom vooral interessant voor investeerders die een eerlijk verdiend vermogen zo deskundig en zo vrij mogelijk willen beheren.

    AMSTERDAM (AFN) - J O Hambro Capital Management heeft het belang in SBM Offshore verkleind tot onder de 3 procent. Dat bleek donderdag uit een melding bij de Autoriteit Financiële Markten (AFM).

    Hambro heeft nu een belang van 2,99 procent, waar bij een eerdere melding nog sprake was van 3,02 procent.

    Verder zal sbmo as echt eer reactie laten zien zodra boete bekend is en als ze weer mee mogen doen in Brazilië en als laatste natuurlijk de resultaten halfjaar 2014 met outlook.
