    Here Technologies has unveiled UniMap, an automated mapping technology at CES 2023 in Las Vegas. UniMap is designed to allow users to create digital maps and location products.

    UniMap is powered by a series of AI models that automates the processing of data from sources like vehicle sensors and lidar to extra data on points like the positioning of road signs. Customers can also combine and connect data sets, bringing in their location data and information to create new products.

    UniMap works across standard definition, HD and ADAS data due to its underlying map object model, an extendible unified map content data model.

    Based in Amsterdam, Netherlands Here has been developing the technology over the last three years alongside various automotive organizations. The company is set to release UniMap to selected customers in 2023 before full release the following year.

    “With UniMap, we provide anytime access to a unified map that’s refreshed in hours, minutes, or seconds,” said Giovanni Lanfranchi, SVP and chief product and technology officer at Here. ” This is a big leap forward for anyone building applications that use location data.”

    Here’s HD Live Map system has been used by BMW since 2022 to power Level 2 automated driving via its hands-free function Highway Assistant. The company is also supporting Level 3 functionality in BMW’s new 7 Series.

    LAS VEGAS (Dec. 2022) – At CES® Unveiled (Jan. 3), CES 2023 (Jan. 5-8) and Showstoppers (Jan. 5), Tokyo-based startup Eukarya will showcase “Re: Earth,” a no-code (coding-free) Geographic Information System (GIS) platform that enables people to easily create and publish 3D maps with layered information on a web browser. It requires no software downloading, and all the tools for overlaying and manipulating information relevant to specific map locations – a task that often requires separate desktop software to accomplish – are also readily accessible online in the form of plug-ins. As an open-source platform, “Re: Earth” also allows engineers to develop their own service products with it.

    “GIS maps are a powerful tool of education that can foster understanding and generate new knowledge about the impact of global warming, history and other subject matters by bringing together various, seemingly unrelated information specific to a location in a visual format,” said Kenya Tamura. “We developed ‘Re: Earth’ to make this valuable tool accessible to all, including people who don’t have programming skills. By making it easier to publish GIS maps, we can promote public discourse about social issues to find better solutions together. We are excited to showcase this innovative platform at CES 2023.”

    Neu ist da die UniMap, eine hochautomatisierte Kartentechnologie, welche digitale Karten erstellt. In den vergangenen drei Jahren hat man da eng mit BMW zusammengearbeitet. UniMap wird in diesem Jahr für ausgewählte Kunden starten, bevor die Technologie 2024 flächendeckend an HERE-Kunden verteilt wird. UniMap soll, so die Versprechungen, Aktualität, Qualität und Abdeckung von Kartenmaterial im besonderen Maße bieten. Es soll damit einfacher sein, Änderungen in der realen Welt zu erfassen und diese automatisiert und binnen Stunden auf einer einheitlichen Karte an die Kunden auszuliefern.

    Physische Veränderungen werden so für Nutzer binnen 24 Stunden auf der Karte sichtbar. Hierzu setzt man auf KI-Modelle, die GPS-Daten und auch Sensordaten von Fahrzeugen (Kamera, LiDaR), aber auch Luftaufnahmen und IoT-Daten automatisiert auswerten. Hierbei geht es auch um die Positionierung von Straßenschildern und der Validität von Tempolimits. Der somit erstellte einheitliche Katalog von Daten soll neben der Navigation in Fahrzeugen auch für automatisiertes Fahren herangezogen werden.

    Hier knüpft auch die Software „Here Automated Driving Zones“ an. Automobilhersteller können nachvollziehbar festlegen, unter welchen Bedingungen die Funktionen zum automatisierten Fahren aktiviert werden können. Damit will man eine entsprechende Sicherheit gewährleisten, die ja beim autonomen Fahren im Fokus steht. Im Rahmen der Automated Driving Zones können Autombilhersteller Gebiete festlegen, an denen Fahrer ihre Hände vom Steuer nehmen können. Man arbeitet da auf Basis der SD- und HD-Karten von HERE und liefert auch dynamische Informationen zum Verkehr in Echtzeit oder Gefahrenwarnungen. Jene Bedingungen können mit entsprechenden Bereichen kombiniert werden. Es ist davon auszugehen, dass Mercedes Benz oder auch BMW dies für ihre Assistenzsysteme verwenden werden.

    At the heart of the Here platform, the technology will produce the entire Here map as well as enable customers to rapidly create their own private maps and customized location services.

    UniMap automates map data processing and map creation wherever possible and logical. For example, UniMap uses AI models to automate the processing of 500 million kilometers of vehicle probe and sensor data every hour, to extract map features such as 2D and 3D positioning of road signs, to validate speed limits and to build missing road geometry.

    It is also able to conflate multiple types of data, by transforming data from a wide variety of sources into map content. Sources range from vehicle cameras and lidar to overhead imagery and IoT data.

    UniMap aligns all standard definition (SD), high definition (HD) and Advanced Driver-Assistance System (ADAS) data into one single semantically consistent digital representation of reality; in a first for the industry, Here is offering seamless access to a unified catalogue of the data needed for navigation, automated driving and intelligent speed assistance (ISA). Different data types are aligned thanks to Map Object Model, an extendible unified map content data model.

    It enables changes detected in the physical reality to become visible in the map within 24 hours. Stores all data in a single environment, readily accessible for customers 24/7, and enables customers to combine and connect data sets.

    Bij de institutions zet Morningstar iedereen op 31 dec 2022.

    Wat heeft het Teslin fonds gedaan tussen 30 juni 2022 en 31 dec 2022.

    We denken bijkopen, maar zolang Teslin part de stand van 30 juni geeft bij Morningstar, weten we niets zeker.

    Je zou denken, het meest achterlopen bij de fondsen heeft een reden.

    De reden kan niet zijn flink verkopen, want dan zou de AFM onder de 5% melden.

    De reden zou kunnen zijn flink bijkopen door Teslin !!!

    Bij de AFM houdt Teslin zich aan de regeltjes, omdat het moet.

    Maar bij Morningstar houdt Teslin zich niet aan de regeltjes, omdat het niet moet.

    Bij de AFM moet je de waarheid zeggen, bij Morningstar mag je de waarheid zeggen.

    Zonder dat ik het zeker weet, zou ik zeggen, Teslin heeft tussen 30 juni 2022 en 31 dec 2022, flink bijgekocht.

    1 druk op de knop en Teslin zou bij de fondsen ook 31dec kunnen presenteren.

    Ze doen het niet, reden ????

    Natuurlijk weet de RVB van Tom Tom, wel van de hoed en de rand :-)

    Vroeger vond ik het wel een mooie term.

    Met aan zekerheid grenzende waarschijnlijkheid.

    Deze term kan ik dus niet plaatsen als het om het belang van Teslin in Tom Tom gaat.

    Toch gebruik ik de term vaker in mijn gedachten.

    Maar ik zeg het niet meer.

    Kan de mening van Marathon delen.

    Het is een kwestie van geduld, het PB van Tom Tom :-)
