    ArcelorMittal publishes convening notice for its Annual General Meeting and Extraordinary General Meeting of shareholders

    ArcelorMittal (the ‘Company’) announces the publication of the convening notice for its Annual General Meeting and Extraordinary General Meeting of shareholders (the ‘General Meetings’), which will be held on Wednesday 4 May 2022 at 15.00 CET.

    In view of the Covid-19 outbreak, ArcelorMittal is taking precautionary measures to limit exposure for its employees, shareholders and other stakeholders. The Company’s Board of Directors has therefore decided to hold this year’s General Meetings without a physical presence, as permitted under Luxembourg law. Arrangements have therefore been made to provide shareholders with the opportunity to vote electronically and by proxy voting.

    The ArcelorMittal shareholders entitled to vote at the General Meetings will be those who are shareholders on the record date of 20 April 2022 at midnight (24:00 hours CET) (the ‘Record Date’).

    The Company will also provide the opportunity for a virtual questions and answers (‘Q&A’) session for shareholders subject to prior registration. This virtual Q&A session will take place at 14.00 CET on 4 May 2022. All details to register and participate can be found in the convening notice.

    The convening notice, the Annual Report 2021, the Form 20F 2021, the voting forms and all other meeting documentation will be available on ArcelorMittal’s website www.arcelormittal.com under Investors – Equity investors – Shareholders events – AGM – General Meetings of shareholders, 4 May 2022. Shareholders may obtain, free of charge, a copy of the Annual Report 2021 (in English), by emailing privateinvestors@arcelormittal.com.

On 1 April 2022 a total of 921,000 shares were bought at a weighted average price of EUR 29.40. The detailed statement of this purchase is available at the following link: PDF. Thereby, the Company achieved 59.94% of its total target of US$1 billion.

    thx mvliex1 ik had verwacht dat ze wel sneller op de 100 procent zouden komen, maar het gaat redelijk traag.
    zolang dit nog loopt verwacht ik dat we wel in deze regionen blijven of zelfs nog lager.

    Ik denk wel dat de aankoop vrijdag de reden was dat de koers uiteindelijke opveerde. Was ook tegen de soortgenoten in volgens mij.

    (ABM FN-Dow Jones) Op Wall Street zijn maandag alle acht AEX-genoteerde fondsen ten opzichte van het slot in Amsterdam hoger gesloten.

    ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India last month launched a premium range of cold rolled steel coils and sheets under a new brand called Polar. AMNS India Director and Vice President Sales & Marketing Mr Alain Legrix De La Salle said “We are pleased to launch Polar, which reinforces our commitment to producing accessible, high-quality steels to our customers across the country. Polar brand products can be purchased through AM/NS India Hypermart, our integrated platform for retail, trade and last-mile sales. Our Hypermart outlets have played a key role in catering to our MSME customers in areas such as fabricators, engineering goods and auto components, giving manufacturers direct access to high-quality and high value-added steel products which they were previously unable to source directly from steel mills. ”

    The latest offering Polar is a premium range of cold rolled steel coils and sheets that are produced to meet a variety of applications like drums and barrels, furniture, control panels, transformers, etc. It is available in customizable sizes of coils and cut sheets.

    AM/NS India is a leading producer in the cold rolled steel category in India, serving a wide range of key customer segments, including automotive, white goods, construction, and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises etc. The company’s proprietary technology has immensely contributed to the design and production of high-quality products, which can be used by customers in a range of industries.

    AMNS India to Set Up Cold Rolling Mill Complex at Hazira

    ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India announced that it will set up a new Cold Rolling Mill that will produce new-age value added products at the flagship plant in Hazira in Gujarat. AMNS India CEO Mr Dilip Omen said “The downstream expansion is progressing well. The new processing lines are designed to produce new-age value added steel, embedding the most demanding quality standards. Some of the latest products will be produced for the first time in India, thus reducing reliance on imports. This expansion will help us meet the growing high-end steel market's demand, while also enhancing our portfolio of value added, sustainable steel. This will be a boost to honorable Prime Minister's initiative of Atmanirbhar Bharat.”

    As part of the IN 8500-crore downstream expansion plan; the modern CRM, the work for which has already commenced, will comprise the following state-of-the-art processing lines

    1. Pickling Line and Tandem Cold Rolling Mill, PLTCM, with 2 million tonne per annum capacity

    2. Continuous Galvanizing and Annealing Line, CGAL, with 1 million tonne per annum capacity, which will produce cold rolled and highly resistant steel coils processed with Aluminum-Silicon, Al-Si, coating. The Al-Si coating will be India’s first line providing these advanced steel solutions

    3. Continuous Galvanizing Line, CGL, with 0.5 million tonne per annum capacity, which will produce galvanized & galvannealed coated flat steel for exposed automotive panels

    4. Continuous Galvanizing Line, CGL, with 0.5 million tonne per annum capacity, which will produce galvanized steel and specialties for industry segments.

    With the latest technologies and innovations, these lines will allow for increased energy efficiency, optimized zinc consumption, and the highest level of corrosion resistance, leading to greater sustainability in the steel production process.

    The CRM with these advanced processing lines is due to be commissioned in 2024.

    Shorters zijn actief om de hogere inkoopprijzen van afgelopen week te drukken deze week zodat het gemiddelde inkoopprijs van de aandelen per saldo lager uitvalt. De beweging is niet in lijn met de AEX of macro-economische ontwikkelingen. Van bijna 32 weer terug naar 28 is typisch een cyclische beweging die we alleen bij AM kennen. Maar niet getreurd, zo hard als het naar beneden kan zo hard kan het ook weer omhoog. Dit zal zo blijven zolang het inkoopprogramma blijft lopen.
