    A global tax deal that would impose a minimum 15% tax on the profits of big international tech companies could be given the green light ahead of the G7 summit in Cornwall next month, as the UK government pushes for a deal.

    Talks between the US president, Joe Biden, Boris Johnson and the other leaders of the richest seven nations are understood to be delicately balanced as they seek to hammer out a framework agreement before they meet in Carbis Bay on 11 June.

    Sources close to the talks said a framework for a deal is likely to be in place, allowing the G20 group of nations to agree a final draft at a meeting in July.

    The deal is aimed at preventing about 100 big corporations such as Google, Apple and Amazon from shifting their vast profits to tax havens such as Bermuda or the Cayman Islands, or low-tax jurisdictions such as Ireland.

    Amazon had sales income of €44bn in Europe in 2020 but paid no corporation tax

    Failure to agree a deal with Donald Trump’s administration persuaded the UK and France to impose their own digital taxes, which have taken effect over the last two years.

    But the UK is among several nations to call for a global tax to end a “race to the bottom” that has encouraged countries to compete on corporation tax rates to attract multinational businesses. A plan that would force public companies to disclose their impact on carbon emissions is also expected to be announced at the G7, though a Treasury source said a decision was on “a knife-edge”.

    Hu Xijin, the editor of the Chinese state-run newspaper the Global Times, considers enhancing China's nuclear program as being vital to the country's "strategic deterrence" against the United States.

    Protests in Hong Kong, Taiwan, the COVID-19 pandemic and accusations China's engaged in a genocide against the Uighur Muslims are sowing deeper divisions in an already strained relationship between China and the United States. With Beijing one of America's top concerns, President Joe Biden has sought to strike a stern tone, while China sees much of America's actions and comments to be an encroachment on its sovereignty.

    The increasingly confrontational rhetoric and military maneuvers coming out of the two countries have raised concerns about a potential war.

    "We must be prepared for an intense showdown between China and the U.S.," Hu wrote in a Thursday op-ed for the Global Times. "The number of China's nuclear warheads must reach the quantity that makes U.S. elites shiver should they entertain the idea of engaging in a military confrontation with China."

    Hu advocated for "rapidly" increasing the number of commissioned nuclear warheads, DF-41s, an intercontinental ballistic missile, and strategic missiles that have "long-range" capabilities.

    The editor posted the same comments on Weibo, a Chinese social media platform.

    Politico said the ships, thought to be carrying "missile-attack craft," were nearing the Atlantic.

    Iran's intentions are not clear, but a National Security Council spokesperson told Politico that Venezuela had purchased weapons from Iran over a year ago.

    Establishing the Fight Against Corruption as a Core U.S. National Security Interest

    The Biden-Harris Administration is committed to tackling corruption as an economic and national security priority, and has pledged to lead international efforts to bring transparency to the global financial system and close loopholes that undermine democracy. As the Interim National Security Strategic Guidance states:

    “We will take special aim at confronting corruption, which rots democracy from the inside and is increasingly weaponized by authoritarian states to undermine democratic institutions…We will crack down on tax havens and illicit financing that contribute to income inequality, fund terrorism, and generate pernicious foreign influence.”

    Today, in line with this commitment, President Biden is releasing a National Security Study Memorandum (NSSM) that establishes the fight against corruption as a core national security interest of the United States. The NSSM directs a 200-day interagency review that will culminate in a report and recommendations on how the U.S. government and its partners can:

    Modernize, Coordinate, and Resource Efforts to Better Fight Corruption. Corruption threatens U.S. national security by eroding citizens’ faith in government, distorting economies, and enabling authoritarians to weaken democratic institutions. The NSSM therefore directs departments and agencies to identify and where appropriate establish new structures and staffing, improve intelligence collection and analysis, and increase resources aimed at confronting corruption at home and abroad.

    Curb Illicit Finance. The Biden-Harris Administration has pledged to lead efforts internationally to bring transparency to the U.S. and international financial systems, including by reducing offshore financial secrecy, seizing stolen assets, and making it more difficult for those who steal to hide behind anonymity. The NSSM therefore directs departments and agencies to combat all forms of illicit finance, including through accelerating ongoing efforts to establish a “beneficial ownership” registry, so that illicit actors can’t hide the proceeds of corruption behind anonymous shell companies; limiting the ability of illicit actors to hide behind anonymity to buy residential real estate; and closing loopholes in existing regulatory regimes.

    Hold Corrupt Actors Accountable. The Biden-Harris Administration is committed to taking new steps to hold accountable corrupt individuals, transnational criminal organizations, and other actors engaged in illicit activity. This includes strengthening and building upon targeted anticorruption sanctions under the Global Magnitsky Act and similar authorities; and bolstering criminal or civil enforcement actions, such as under the Department of Justice’s Kleptocracy Asset Recovery Initiative. It also means increasing support to grow the capacity of civil society, the media, state and local bodies, international partners, and other oversight and accountability actors.

    Build International Partnerships. As part of its commitment to strengthening America’s alliances and partnerships, the NSSM directs departments and agencies to work with like-minded international partners through the UN, G7, Financial Action Task Force (FATF), and similar bodies to counteract strategic corruption emanating from autocratic and kleptocratic governments, foreign state-owned or affiliated enterprises, and transnational criminal organizations. This work will include closing loopholes exploited by those actors in order to mask the proceeds of corruption or interfere in democratic processes.

    Improve Foreign Assistance. The United States partners with foreign governments and civil society to enhance the capacity of their domestic institutions to implement transparency, oversight, and accountability measures. The NSSM therefore directs departments and agencies to focus on anticorruption best practices and improve enforcement measures in the implementation of foreign assistance programs and security cooperation.

    Wanneer er nu berichten zijn, dat de Russische Vazal Staat Iran met 2 schepen met militair materiaal onderweg is naar mogelijk Venezuela, dan kun je dit zien als onderdeel van de Russische Globalisering.

    Rusland versterkt hiermede zijn positie in Zuid Amerika.

    Venezuela is slechts 3.000 km verwijderd van de US en dit kan als een bedreiging van de US worden opgevat.

    Dat je ervoor pleit dat Iran geen strobreed in de weg gelegd mag worden, met militair transport naar Venezuela, geeft aan dat je de globalisering van Putin's Rusland steunt.

    Putin heeft al een stevige vinger in de pap in Syrie, heeft er nu een militaire basis waarvan men met militaire vliegtuigen de Middellandse Zee kan bestrijken
    Putin is ook bezig in Zuid Amerika, in Venezuela.

    De Russische globalisering is hard in ontwikkeling.

    Nee, wanneer je niet de MSM volgt, maar andere websites of bepaalde social media groepen, kun je daar ook links van plaatsen.

    Rusland heeft een deel van Georgie bezet, Rusland heeft de Krim een deel van Oost Oekraïne bezet, Rusland bemoeit zich overdadig met de dictator van Wit Rusland, waardoor Putin daar de touwtjes in handen heeft, Rusland heeft de dictator van Syrie gesteund met wapens vliegtuigen om tapijt bommen en fosfor bommen af te werpen op dorpen in Syrie en ziekenhuizen te bombarderen.
    Rusland beschikt dankzij deze steun nu over een marine haven en air strip om vanuit Syrie in het Middellandse zeegebied een rol te spelen.
    Rusland heeft de opstandelingen leider Haftar in Libië gesteund met wapens en vliegtuigen in de strijd tegen de geformeerde regering, die gesteund wordt door Turkije.
    Rusland heeft steeds meer invloed op Venezuela door nauwe contacten met de dictator aldaar.
    Hierdoor ligt Amerika binnen strategisch militair bereik.

    Rusland voorziet Iran van wapens om haar machtspositie in delen van het Midden Oosten (met name Lebanon, Syrie en Yemen) te bestendigen.

    Rusland , onder Putin, is duidelijk bezig met Globalisme.

    Former president Donald Trump had prohibited Americans from buying stakes in 31 Chinese companies that were deemed to be supplying or supporting China's military and security apparatus, and Biden's move expands the blacklist to 59.

    The latest batch of sanctions target companies involved in Chinese surveillance technology used to "facilitate repression or serious human rights abuses," which "undermine the security or democratic values of the United States and our allies," according to a White House statement.

    The initial list published under Trump included major telecoms, construction and technology firms such as China Mobile, China Telecom, video surveillance firm Hikvision, and China Railway Construction Corp.

    It was among a series of measures by the White House aimed at the Asian giant, which have left ties between the two countries severely strained.

    Before the US order was released, Beijing repeated its outrage at the Trump-era blacklist Thursday and vowed to protect Chinese companies' rights, claiming the blacklist was "politically motivated" and "ignores the facts and actual situation" of the firms involved.

    The ban "severely undermines normal market rules and order" and "damages... the interests of global investors, including US investors," foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said at a routine briefing.

    Precies, dus er zijn nog steeds 8,2 miljoen MINDER BANEN als in February 2020 (zie boven).
    Er wordt veel minder geproduceert, sinds February 2020, dat is wel ff een dingetje......inflatiegevaar.
    Dat is een hele lange weg te gaan, voor de economie weer is herstelt tot oude niveau......., weinig reden om te juichen.
