Yves in Ghent Summary (so far) >> Great presentation today by Yves in Ghent. Shed some light on the 3 GF customers. 1 is producing transceivers for 1.6 terra bit per second. First devices are expected back from the foundry by end of Q2!!!! Then they coat and protect it in Denver and we have a first product ready for sale. Still happening this year.
investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_ms...Second customer is for CPO application 400 giga bits per second per lane. We are working on a special version of the Polymer for this customer. 3rd customer is building a Silicon photonic chip high speed modulator base. This is done with one of the best foundries in the world and Yves emphasized the importance for us to have access now to the best foundry in the world. He also said the competing materialis are even not allowed to enter the foundries!
investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_ms...Cohibas, thanks. I couldn’t attend. But this timeline makes sense. Global Foundries being ‘first to market’ is a commercial necessity for this company. The confirmation and tie up with Lightwave is now publicly confirmed .
GF spent already 100 ‘s of millions without meaningful return . With their silicon photonics platform it now has a chance to leapfrog the competition and become the front runner they aspired to be for many years.

I would say TSMC is the foundry behind the most recent Stage 3 partner. Yves put their foundry on a pedestal. It has to be TSMC with how he talked about it.
Also, did he say they initiated a production order for the first Stage 3 partner targeting 1.6T? A production order is more than just an R&D trial run.
investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_ms...This was very confirming! also i believe he said something like "once those chips arrive our job is not difficult" so it's mainly the foundries job to get the chip right. But again he seemed really confident.
investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_ms...His exact Words: we did a first run with them last year. We launched our production run with them at the beginning of this year. The foundry is now building these chips. Typically that takes 3-4 months. After that the chips come to Denver for polymer coating. Then they test them, expected end of Q2 this year. Second half this year we will have serious results. Expectation is that this is our first customer that Goes to production. He did not give details on what tests are needed after they apply the coating and how long this takes.
investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_ms...The entire LWLG – customer – foundry ecosystem is becoming much clearer now. It feels like the key partners are already largely in place:
4 foundry agreements already signed,
3 additional foundries under discussion,
and apparently even more potential partners in the background.
That is extremely important because broad foundry availability is what ultimately enables industry-wide adoption.
