    Mutinous Russian soldiers were stripped, tied up and taken away in trucks under the orders of a feared Russian general who has been sent in to restore discipline in Ukraine, according to a recording released by Kyiv's intelligence services.

    Meanwhile, another audio clip was released in which a Russian soldier was overheard calling Vladimir Putin an 'old nutjob' and criticising his war in Ukraine.

    The intercepted audio recordings are the latest evidence that morale is deteriorating among Moscow's forces as its faltering invasion of Ukraine entered its 12th week.

    Both recordings were shared by Ukrainian Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate on social media on Thursday, according to the Daily Beast.

    In the first intercepted phone call, a Russian soldier is heard telling a friend that the Kremlin has sent in a general, named only in the discussion as 'Muradov'.

    While the general's full name is not revealed in the discussion, it is likely the soldier is referring to lieutenant general Rustam Muradov - the deputy commander of Russia's Southern Military District, known for overseeing brutal fighting in the Syrian civil war.

    'Well, Muradov arrived and arranged a demonstrative tribunal,' the soldier said, adding that he disciplined his unit because 'no one wanted to keep going ahead'.

    'The commanders didn't want to lead their boys to death, the soldier said. 'The guys themselves just weren't ready.

    'So yesterday [Muradov] busted the f**k out of the commanders to make an example, he undressed them, made them pull everything out of their pockets, tied their hands. Then they loaded them into [buses] and took them away,' he added.

    It was not reported by the Ukrainian authorities where the Russian soldier was when he made the phone call with his friend, but it's yet another example of Putin's troops showing signs of low morale amid reports of dwindling equipment and supplies.

    Muradov is one of a number of Russian military figures sanctioned by the EU. He was awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation in 2017, with the award being presented to him personally by Putin himself.

    In a second recording, another man - also identified only as a Russian soldier - can be heard airing his frustrations over the situation in Ukraine to a female friend.

    His main grievance appears to be Putin's Victory Day speech on May 9, which saw the Russian tyrant speak at a huge annual military parade to mark the end of Russia's involvement in the Second World War 77 years ago.

    The female friend tells the soldier that she thought Putin's speech was 'gross', adding that she had been 'shaking all day' after listening to it.

    The Russian soldier replies: 'Well what do you want, he's an old nutjob,' before mocking Putin. 'Yes let's get the USSR, f**k, Lithuania, Latvia, f**king Estonia, everything that's not part of Russia let's win back.'

    While discussing what hypothetical territories Putin would try to invade after Ukraine, they mentioned Belarus.

    The female friend said she believed Belarus would soon send its own troops into Ukraine, to which the soldier shot back: 'let them f**king join already then, what the f**k are we taking the rap all alone here for.'

    The friend then suggested Putin might not want to share his 'victory' over Ukraine with another country. The soldier said: 'right, 'victory,' as if we didn't f**k up enough around here already.'

    Naar mijn mening dient men niet met oorlogsmisdadigers te onderhandelen. Deden we ook niet met Hitler en consorten. Dit kan men gewoon al in moreel opzicht de slachtoffers niet aandoen. Door onderhandeling beloont men deze schurken.
    Helaas kunnen we enkel wachten op het moment dat deze onmensen worden afgezet en vervangen door “beters”.

    De kans is wel groot dat het Putin regiem hem van de aardbodem zal doen verdwijnen, want. verdachten van oorlogsmisdaden wil Putin niet graag voor een Westerse rechtbank laten komen

    Er zijn ook bijvoorbeeld berichten dat het bataljon, dat beschuldigd wordt van de Bucha Massacre, na de terugtrekking uit Kyiv regio, naar Wit Rusland, direct naar het front bij Kharkiv is gestuurd en daar zijn komen te overlijden tijdens de verliezen aldaar

    Andere bataljons kregen enige tijd rust om de verloren slag rond Kyiv te verwerken en bij te komen, alvorens weer naar het front in Oost Oekraine te worden gestuurd

    3 bridges vital to Ukrainian counteroffensive blown up in Kharkiv region, satellite images show

    As the Russian forces retreated due to a sustained Ukrainian counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region, three bridges vital to continuing the Ukrainian advance were blown up, satellite images from BlackSky and the European Space Agency show.

    The images from Black Sky, taken on May 12, show collapsed sections of the bridges crossing the Siverskyi Donets River near the villages of Rubizhne and Staryi Saltiv, which are about 10 miles south of the Russian border.

    The village of Rubizhne is near Staryi Saltiv, although it shares the same name with the city further south in Luhansk.

    The villages were recently liberated by Ukrainian forces.

    Another satellite image, taken on May 8, by the European Space Agency shows the bridge across the Pecheneg hydroelectric power station — the nearest bridge to the south — has also been blown up.

    There are only two smaller bridges to the north, in the currently Russian-occupied villages of Ohirtseve and Buhrukuvatka, which cross the river. Their current status is unknown, as clouds have obscured any recent satellite imaging.

    Why the bridges are important: If those bridges are compromised, the momentum of the Ukrainian advance will be significantly hampered.

    It's not just momentum that's important for the Ukrainian forces. Major Russian supply lines, which are vital to the Russian military advance near the city of Izium and into the Luhansk region, are just east of the Siverskyi Donets River in the Kharkiv region.

    While it's not entirely clear when the bridges were blown, or who is responsible for doing so, it's unlikely the Ukrainians are responsible for their destruction. The bridges are just too vital to their counteroffensive, and to targeting the supply lines.

    Truck-Mounted Brimstone Missile Launcher Emerges In Ukraine

    To our knowledge, this clip ( video ) is the first recorded footage of a ground-based Brimstone launch in Ukraine, as well as the first video of a Brimstone missile being fired from an improvised launcher installed in the back of a truck.

    While the circumstances surrounding the recorded launch are unclear, there is speculation pointing to a possible training exercise at an undisclosed location. The video serves as a particularly fascinating first look at the improvised ground launcher platform being used by Ukraine for the advanced missiles that were gifted to it by the United Kingdom.
    The UK confirmed that it would be delivering Brimstone precision-guided missiles to Ukraine in late April, meaning the overall development and donation took mere days to carry out. Despite British officials originally hinting at the potential of a truck mount, the video of it in action gives us a better idea of how this was pulled off.

    The Brimstone family of missiles, produced by European missile consortium MBDA, are ground, surface, and air-launched weapons clocking in at a little under 6 feet long and 110 pounds.

    Its guidance system is designed to be all-weather, day-and-night capable through the use of an active millimetric-wave radar seeker. Brimstone is capable of salvo attacks and autonomously finding targets once it reaches a designated target area. This makes it ideal for taking out armor, artillery, and boat formations.

    just tacking ( bevestigen/plaatsen ) an aircraft launcher and frame onto a small enclosed flatbed ( truck ) would make for a highly camouflaged and mobile firing platform solution for Ukraine's needs.

    it was uncertain whether or not the Brimstone systems being sent to Ukraine would be intended for anti-ship or anti-armor operations, or both. However, the video of the missile firing presents a level of capability that could very well be beneficial in multiple use cases.

    Being that the truck-mount will mobilize the Brimstone system, one could easily be driven to shore for short-range maritime engagements.

    Ukraine is now fielding one of the most advanced weapons it has ever taken possession of and it can deploy it pretty much anywhere and any way it imagines.

    They also confirm the obvious: the Ukrainian counter-offensive in Kharviv region is directed against the rear of the rashist invaders at Izyum.
