    -----------

"Mobilized from the Russian Federation are already at the front,” says Russian General Staff.

“Newly arrived mobilization soldiers without training are immediately sent to resupply the units that have suffered losses on the line of contact.”

Russians send mobilised men with no training to contact line – General Staff

    SUNDAY, 25 SEPTEMBER 2022, 18:51

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has stated that the Russian command is sending newly mobilised servicemen without any training directly to the front line to replenish units that have suffered losses.

Source: General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, information as of 18:00 on 25 September

Quote: "The Russian occupying forces’ command is sending newly mobilised servicemen without any training directly to the front line to replenish units that have suffered losses.

This is having a significant effect in terms of decreasing the level of morale of Russian servicemen and the quality of performance of their duties."

Details: The General Staff also reported that Russian enlistment offices have been working around the clock since 22 September, and those who try to avoid mobilisation are being threatened with criminal liability.

In Sevastopol in temporarily occupied Crimea, about one thousand call-up notices have been handed out to draft-age men. Representatives of the occupying forces assure the mobilised personnel that their service will take place in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast until the so-called "special operation" is over.

Israel says will treat 20 wounded Ukrainian soldiers

Israel is to treat 20 Ukrainian soldiers wounded in the conflict with Russian forces, the Israeli ambassador to Kyiv announced Sunday.

“Israel will receive for treatment 20 Ukrainian servicemen who were seriously wounded during the war,” envoy Michael Brodsky wrote on Twitter.

The first two patients will arrive on Sunday for treatment at Sheba Medical Center near Tel Aviv, he added.

A medical source confirmed to AFP that two soldiers were en route to Israel, while a spokeswoman for the Ukrainian embassy in Tel Aviv said she expected the first patients to arrive “soon.”

They will be treated with prosthetics and rehabilitation.

Sheba Medical Center, Israel’s largest hospital, ran a field hospital in western Ukraine for six weeks following the Russian invasion on February 24.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Told How Ukraine’s Military Prepare for Winter Battles Against russians

The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, retired Major General Volodymyr Havrylov, addressed representatives of the US defense industry at the annual conference of the National Defense Industrial Association

During his speech, Havrylov told what tactics the Armed Forces of Ukraine will use for battles against the russian army in winter and accordingly what weapons and equipment Ukraine’s troops will need to be even more effective fighting with russians. This is stated in the Defense News article.

It states that Havrylov was generally optimistic about the Kremlin's decision to announce on September 21 the so-called partial mobilization in russia. The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine said, in particular, that such a decision means that "we are moving towards the demise of the Russian Empire." Also, that russia does not have the resources to properly arm at least 300 thousand mobilized, and that the Russian army has already shown its "paper character". Gavrilov even used such a comparison: "russia is actually a frightened jackal in a bear's skin."

Dagestan is rapidly becoming Russia's most 'troublesome' region.

    ...
Ukraine war: Protests in Russian Dagestan region against new draft
    BBC News

Demonstrators in Russia's Dagestan region have clashed with police, in the latest protests to break out against Moscow's new "partial mobilisation".

Footage posted to social media showed locals tussling with officers in the regional capital of Makhachkala.

And the OVD-Info group, an independent Russian human rights monitor, said it was concerned by reports of "very tough detentions" occurring in the region.

Dagestan is a mainly Muslim region of Russia once noted for intense violence.

While large protests have taken place in major cities across Russia in recent days - with more than 700 people being arrested on Saturday alone - the images of Dagestani demonstrators fighting with police marks a rare outbreak of violence against authorities.

Dozens of videos posted to social media showed protesters confronting police and other security officials in Makhachkala, with OVD-Info reporting that officers resorted to using stun guns and truncheons on the crowds.

In one video, a man detained by officials headbutts a police officer, before being beaten by other personnel.

Another video showed a security officer fleeing from a large group of demonstrators, some of whom attempted to grab and trip him as he ran.

Elsewhere, a large group of women confronted an officer guarding a recruiting centre and angrily condemned the war in Ukraine, with one telling the officer that "Russia is on the territory of another country".

"Why are you taking our children," the women shouted. "Who was attacked? Russia was attacked? They didn't come to us. It was us attacking Ukraine. Russia has attacked Ukraine! Stop the war!"

OVD-Info also reported that locals in the village of Endirey had blocked a federal highway, in an attempt to stop security officials seeking to enforce the draft entering the area.

Footage obtained by the group showed police officers firing automatic rifles in the air as they sought to break up the demonstration, but locals continued to block the road.

In an attempt to ease the outbreak of anger, Dagestan's Governor Sergei Melikov admitted on Sunday that "mistakes have been made" during mobilisation.

"I have already spoken about this before, but I will repeat it again: partial mobilization must take place strictly according to the criteria announced by the president," Mr Melikov wrote on Telegram.

The region is believed to have already supplied thousands of troops for the invasion of Ukraine, with recent analysis by the BBC's Russian service suggesting that Dagestan has suffered more casualties than any other Russian province in the conflict.

The tally - conducted earlier this month - showed at least 301 soldiers from Dagestan have died, 10 times more than the capital of Moscow. The true figure is likely to be far higher.

More than 2,000 people have been arrested at mass protests since Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the new draft on Wednesday.

Many young Russian men have also sought to flee the country, attempting to cross the border into neighbouring Finland and Georgia.

And there have been reports from across the country that many people ineligible for the draft have been ordered to report for duty by local recruiting officers.
