    Notification under Chapter 9, Section 10 of the Finnish Securities Market Act: holdings of JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Nokia Corporation exceeded 5%

    Espoo, Finland - According to information received by Nokia Corporation, the holdings of JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Nokia have exceeded 5% of the total number of shares and voting rights of Nokia.

    On May 7, 2015 the holdings of JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Nokia, through its controlled undertakings, comprising of both shares and financial instruments, amounted to a total of 192 381 434 shares, corresponding to approximately 5.23% of the total number of shares and voting rights of Nokia.

    The above total holdings comprise of 165 824 304 Nokia shares, corresponding to approximately 4.51% of the total number of shares and voting rights of Nokia, and financial instruments that can, if realized, in aggregate result to a holding of 26 557 130 Nokia shares, corresponding to approximately 0.72% of the current total number of shares and voting rights of Nokia. The financial instruments are comprised of convertible bond and option arrangements that can be either convertible to or settled in Nokia shares.

    REUTERS: Nokia plans job cuts in Technologies unit

    Finland's Nokia is planning to cut up to 70 jobs from its technologies unit in Finland, its spokeswoman said on Wednesday.

    "Nokia Technologies has revised its long-term strategy and will consequently reshape organization. As part of this, talks have been initiated with the staff," spokeswoman Riitta Mard said.

    The unit, which includes Nokia's patents and brand-licensing business, has employs 650 globally and about 400 in Finland.

    Het voelt toch wat speculatief om nu aandelen in bezit te hebben. Ik heb wat bijgekocht en vraag me af of het matig draaiende Nokia er wel goed aan doet om Alcatel te kopen.
    Alcatel zit toch in dezelfde markt als Nokia. Waarom zou je daar goede verwachtingen van moeten hebben?
    Bovendien...als straks de eerste wereld op 4G draait, dan zakt de markt toch wel even in. De vraag is alleen waar ligt in de tijd straks.

    Nu toch maar hopen dat de speculatie rondom HERE wat op gaat leveren.

    Toch blijft die markt nog in beweging. Software, communicatie, netwerken, het blijft een enorm interessante tak van sport de komende tijd. Ik hou van de focus op deze branche. Hij is wat minder modegevoelig dan die van de mobieltjes en ik ben ook blij dat die mapping eruit gaat.

    Ik schat de situatie positief in!

    Mapping is juist leuk! Indertijd met Teleatlas goed geboerd.

    Inmiddels is Nokia weer boven mijn aankoopgemiddelde beland. Dat voelt alweer even beter. Kom maar met dat bod!

    @deelaan: Ik zit wat dat betreft in NXP, Nokia, Gemalto en ASML. Stuk voor stuk marktleiders in sterk groeiende markten.

    Dit aandeel is al jaren een paniekerig aandeel....er wordt flink mee gespeeld..

    Lekker portfolio chebbi!!
    Wat betreft de mapping, tjaa, leuk inderdaad. Maar ben ontzettend bang voor google, ze zijn me te machtig en nokia had wel een verdienmodelletje voor zijn mapping, maar daar konden we niet met z'n alle van eten! focus (in dit geval mapping) blijft voor mij een belangrijk punt, massa = kassa.

    Eind 2014 hadden slechts 200 miljoen van de 7,2 miljard mensen een 4G verbinding.

    Eind 2020 is de verwachting dat 1,8 van de 7,8 miljard mensen 4G krijgen.

    Maar de technologie staat niet stil. Zowel de capaciteit, als de snelheid zal de komende jaren flink toenemen. Er is nog genoeg groei.
