    Pursuant to the announcement made on July 31, 2014, Nokia Networks has now completed the business transfer of a part of the wireless network business of Panasonic System Networks Company Limited (PSN) in Japan. As originally stated, this includes the transfer of fixed assets, employees and relevant contracts from Panasonic to Nokia Networks.

    Will improve efficiency and quality control for product development and R&D

    The agreement covers Panasonic’s mobile phone wireless base station system business for mobile operators and related wireless equipment system business. This acquisition enhances Nokia Networks’ existing mobile broadband capabilities and is expected to reinforce and further improve efficiency and quality control for product development and R&D, as well as strengthen its market share for base station systems and related wireless equipment in Japan.

    The acquisition includes:
    •Panasonic’s LTE/3G wireless base station system business
    •Related wireless equipment system business
    •Fixed assets and business contracts with Panasonic’s customers get transferred to Nokia Networks Japan
    •More than 300 Panasonic employees involved in the transferring business

    OK het gaat inmiddels om MS, maar..5,8% not bad of wel?

    Apple is net als andere jaren de grote winnaar van de kerstperiode. Dat blijkt uit het jaarlijkse kerstrapport van Flurry, dat alle nieuwe activeringen van elektronische apparaten verzamelt door 600.000 apps te monitoren. De kerstperiode is op dat vlak de belangrijkste van het ganse jaar.

    Uit het rapport blijkt dat meer dan 1 op elke 2 nieuwe smartphones die tijdens de kerstperiode werden geactiveerd het Apple-label draagt. 51,3% om precies te zijn. Op een verre tweede plaats volgt Samsung met 17,7% en Nokia, met 5,8%.

    HERE rapidly advances connected driver experiences

    Las Vegas, Nevada - HERE, a leader in navigation, mapping and location experiences, and BMW AG announced a collaboration to create connected driver experiences at the forefront of automotive technology. At the Consumer Electronics Show this week, they will demonstrate the first results of their joint work, which rapidly advances in-car systems to keep pace with the consumer electronics industry.

    HERE and BMW combined world class car engineering and software development to develop a suite of location-based services for the connected car and integrate cars into modern urban transport systems. Experts from the two companies worked closely together to develop these nascent driver services, rooted in highly precise and dynamic location information, in just one year.

    Visitors to the HERE booth at CES can experience BMW "Intelligent Drive", which uses the most sophisticated capabilities of the HERE location cloud to personalize in-vehicle technology, including:

    smart recommendations for parking and fuel;
    sharing your destination and estimated time of arrival; and
    safety alerts for hazards, speed restrictions and traffic.
    HERE will also show a customized companion app for BMW running on iOS and Android that will keep drivers connected from the moment they plan their trip to the last mile. It will help drivers find their parked car, and their favorite destinations will already be waiting for them in their in-car navigation system when they arrive. Other app features such as pedestrian navigation, local search and augmented reality will help drivers reach their final destination after they park the car.

    BMW's CES showcase uses HERE technologies such as routing, traffic and venue maps to develop additional applications for Smart TVs, as well as smartwatches and other mobile devices.

    "We believe consumers are looking for more than just a smartphone on wheels," says Ogi Redzic, HERE's senior vice president, connected driving. "HERE, which sits at the intersection of the consumer and automotive industries, can help automakers act quickly to radically upgrade the driving experience into a truly connected one, that consumers want and expect."

    Bruno Bourguet, senior vice president of sales at HERE, added, "We provided the first map for BMW GPS navigation systems in 1994. As cars and drivers get increasingly connected we are extremely proud to deepen our collaboration to delight the BMW customers inside and outside of their vehicles."

    The comprehensive connected car solution from HERE and BMW will be on display at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas at booth CP2.

    Contractomvang kan volgens SNS oplopen tot 135 miljoen indien het gaat om een wereldwijd contract met niet alleen Volkswagen, maar ook de submerken zoals skoda, audi en seat. Indien het hele contract weg is voor Nokia zie ik niet hoe HERE zou moeten groeien komende jaren.

    Het aandeel daalt bijna 700 miljoen euro omdat ze een klant ter waarde van 135 miljoen hebben verloren?

    Als ze morgen een klant erbij krijgen voor 135 miljoen omzet, dan gaat het aandeel niet net zo hard omhoog :(

    Dit Nokia aandeel voelt voor mij net als de postcodeloterij. Je hebt het idee dat het toch nooit meer wat word en je geld stil staat (wil maar niet boven de 7€), maar het moment dat je uitstapt valt dan toch ineens de prijs en voel je je genaaid omdat je trouw lang aandeelhouder bent geweest.

    Ik zou je 'lot' toch nog een tijdje vasthouden. Die 7€ gaan we doorbreken als samsung-deal rond komt of al eerder bij de komende kwartaalcijfers. Nog maar 2 weken..wat verwachten we van de cijfers..en van de marktreactie?

    Ik doe zelf een voorzet. Lisad wil jij jouw voorspelling vergelijken met de analisten?

    Q4 2014

    NN omzet: 3,4 mld; oper. profit: 400 miljoen
    HERE omzet: 260 miljoen o. profit: 25 miljoen
    AT: omzet: 170 miljoen o. profit: 110 miljoen
    Totaal: Omzet: 3,83 mld o.p.: 535 miljoen
    Eps: 10,5 eurocent

    Voor 2015 vooruitzicht verwacht ik herhaling eerdere uitspraken:
    Marge nn: 8-11%, groei in alle 3 divisies (omzet en winst).

    Marktreactie: In euro hoogste koers in jaren.
