Wyeth deal...withering on the vine as well...the biggest deal ever...according to Brus. We haven't heard Boo about it for a year and a half. Another Factor V? Is Crucell back to it's old ways. EVERY ANALYST concluded from the statements that Crucell put out for 2009, that "all the Quinvaxem contracts would be honored in 2009" -almost 250 million dollars worth, that Crucell must be sandbagging in their 2009 estimates. Why a 20% increase would only put them at 335 million euro. Except now we are beginning to wonder if Crucell is pulling the same s**t they did in 2007 where they implied they were going to handily beat estimates...then estimates came in "in line". With the delay of shipments and payments by WHO, are they just going to push them into 2010, and are included in the last tranche they announced? Probably so. Crucell estimates 20% imcrease in revenues in 2009 (@335million euro for 2009), we think they are winking at us, that it has to be at least 370 million. Then when they come in at 335 million...and everyone is disappointed or pissed off, then they say they can't figure out how we ever got the idea that it would be higher. They screwed the pooch again...and it will be years...again...that investors will have to wait for Crucell to make another run at a break-out. All the Street wanted in August was for Crucell to keep its word and they would have run it up to its old high...but Crucell couldn't make revenues, didn't make earnings or fell short on margins...then got taken to the woodshed by Panacea and Shantha. Then even the Flu Antibody news was laughed off as another 10 year program by Crucell with the US government...another Ebola vaccine...where the US government has Crucell to do some research, but they never actually get a contract...and is perpetually stuck in Phase I. Pitiful Brus....resign
More they push QV into the next year, less taxes they have to pay waiting as they do to get the 7-year taxe holiday (end of 2010 I guess).
Sorry about the triple post, my computer keyboard got stuck in a mode where certain combinations of keystrokes told it to post.

Brus in the CC and AGM implied end of 2010 at the earliest...my guess if it is the end of 2010, they would want it pushed into 2011 anyway to get the biggest amount of tax relief. No use taking one quarter of reduced taxes when you can get 4 quarters.

Okay, you can claim it is secret....but where is the income of the "biggest deal ever" buried in this revenue statement from last quarter. IT IS NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. period. "Total Revenues and Other Operating Income Total revenues and other operating income amounted to €78.7 million for the second quarter of 2009, an increase of 32% compared to the same quarter of 2008. The increase was mainly driven by growth in sales of our paediatric vaccines, in particular Quinvaxem®. Product sales in the second quarter of 2009 amounted to €66.4 million and represent sales of paediatric vaccines (60%), travel and endemic vaccines (24%), and other products (16%). License revenues were €3.5 million in the second quarter, a decrease of €2.0 million compared to the same quarter of 2008, which included a milestone payment for clinical development. Service fees for the quarter were €2.5 million, compared to €2.3 million last year. Service fees represent revenues for product development activities performed under contracts with partners and licensees. Other operating income was €6.3 million for the quarter, compared to €3.4 million in the second quarter of 2008. The increase is related to the level of activity in our malaria and rabies programs." Good God, there is a difference between when Brus is in BS mode, and the hard cold facts of the quarterly statement. The original PR obviously was more BS from Brus...and remember you can't spell Brus without BS.

in Hj2 2008 € 19,5 Mn
Het grote verschil zat in Q3
in Hj2 2009 € 22 Mn?

The milestones were stated to be from rabies and sanofi flucell. The initial PR neither said nor implied there were to be milestones. LET ME REPEAT BRUS...BIGGEST DEAL EVER. The problem there is no evidence of biggest deal ever. OKAY, nobody asked Brus, what do you mean by "biggest deal", most man hours, biggest hype...he cetainly couldn't have meant "most revenue". Why doesn't anybody ask about the wyeth revenues...because they know the answer...there isn't any. No offense they were 12 million euro short on sales in the second quarter...not 1 million or 2 million, but twelve million euro. And 6 million euro light on earnings. They either lied or mis-stated WHO contracts. They contracted for them, but there is no enforcement clause to make them take them and pay the money...that is why they can simply refuse shipment and not pay. Now, since they have implied they were just pushed out, that means next quarter will be 12 million higher...BS. Analysts will work this lie in and Crucell will be short again..."Oh sorry, they pushed them out again". So goes the Crucell PR game. They built up some trust again, and then screwed the pooch by missing wildly on all fronts. Shameful, Brus should resign
I've lowered my acceptable buy-out price to 25 euro. Since we are stuck in limbo for another 2 years... Quick, make a deal before Brus screws up another quarter. My favorite quote from the 2008 year end PR "Crucell does not expect its businesses to be affected by the difficult markets envisaged in 2009." That would imply smooth sailing...and even Better revenues when the world economy started to pick up. No they wait until the market is 45% UP off the March lows and gaining steam to screw the pooch. Crucell now up 10% off the March lows. What once was a stand-out is now a "dump it until next year" stock.
From last quarter CC "Sales this year will be good, and will be equally as good as last year" First question in Q+A, 1 minute in. Yes...no additional revenue from sales for Inflexal during the most lucrative market for Flu vaccine in the last 25 years.

Dirkwww.veb.net/content/HoofdMenu/Beurs/A...
