    Duitse krant: slimme Turkse auto daagt Tesla en Volkswagen uit

    Opnieuw heeft een Duitse krant zich over de potentie van de nieuwe Turkse auto uitgelaten. Dagblad Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung schreef dinsdag dat het automerk van Turkije de strijd zal aangaan met Tesla en Volkswagen.

    In het artikel is benadrukt dat de auto volledig elektrisch wordt en voor een betaalbare prijs op de markt komt. Ook belooft de actieradius van meer dan 500 kilometer veel. De accu is binnen een half uur voor 80 procent opgeladen, is benadrukt.

    De coronapandemie heeft niet voor vertraging gezorgd. Er wordt namelijk volop gebouwd aan de fabriek (tevens de schoonste van Europa) in Gemlik, liet de Duitse krant zijn lezers weten. Ook is benadrukt dat de auto voor meer dan de helft uit Turkse onderdelen zal bestaan. Dit percentage zal later nog eens verder toenemen.

    Het dagblad verwees ook naar de grote jongens achter de Turkse auto. “De eigenaren van TOGG zijn de belangrijke spelers in de Turkse economie. De Turkse overheid steunt ook het eigen automerk. Volgens mediaberichten is het zeker dat zij 30.000 TOGG’s aanschaffen. Ook genieten grote investeerders voordelen, zoals belastingverlagingen.”

    MG Cyberster is bloedsnelle elektrische sportauto

    Op 21 april trekt MG het doek van de Cyberster op het Autosalon van Shanghai. Volgens de Chinezen is deze extreem ogende tweezitter gebaseerd op de klassieke MGB roadster van weleer. Dat zie je onder meer aan de grille, die een klassieke MG-vorm kreeg.

    So very British

    De Cyberster knipoogt ook naar z’n Engelse naam aan de achterzijde, waar de achterlichten een verwijzing zijn naar de Britse vlag. Helemaal origineel is dat niet, want Mini doet dat inmiddels al jaren.

    De aandrijving is - vanzelfsprekend - elektrisch. Veel details zijn er nog niet. MG houdt het voorlopig op een aandrijflijn die 800km autonomie moet garanderen, samen met een acceleratietijd naar 100km/u van 3 seconden.

    Volta Trucks May Make Volta Zero in Spain

    Leading full-electric commercial vehicle manufacture Volta Trucks has confirmed that it is investigating the manufacture of the Volta Zero in Spain, having formally expressed an interest in the Decarbonisation Hub project within the former Nissan manufacturing facilities in Barcelona. Barcelona is one of several manufacturing options currently being investigated, alongside other potential sites in the UK and Europe. Volta Trucks’ Chief Technology Officer Mr Kjell Waloen said “We have been investigating and evaluating a number of European manufacturing partners and facilities for many months, and are narrowing down the field to a small group of finalists. Assembling the Volta Zero in Spain could be of interest, to serve southern European cities for whom decarbonisation of commercial vehicles is becoming an ever-stronger priority. We will conclude our investigations shortly but having an option to manufacture the Volta Zero in Barcelona could be interesting for us.”

    The announcement comes as the Volta Zero arrives in Spain to continue its European tour of customer events, and the launch of the new Spanish website. The Volta Zero will be displayed at the MercaMadrid between 12 April and 22 April. The vehicle will then be transferred to the MercaBarna and Eixample District of Barcelona and be displayed between 26 April and 6 May 2021.

    Anchersen Orders 25 Electric MAN Lion’s City Buses for Copenhagen

    Copenhagen is the city of royal palaces, brightly coloured houses and the Little Mermaid. And soon, its newest attraction will be 25 MAN Lion’s City 12 E models, which will provide an extra-environmentally friendly means of transport for visitors and residents alike as they travel around the Danish capital. The 25 state-of-the-art city buses are due to be delivered at the end of the year. They will serve the 7A bus route through Copenhagen City Centre, which is used by more than 4.3 million passengers each year. In the MAN Lion’s City E, Anchersen has opted for a reliable electric bus with tried-and-tested cell and battery technology.

    The new Copenhagen city buses offer space for up to 76 passengers. Extended seat pitch and comfortable padded seats ensure that passengers have a pleasant experience en route from A to B.

    MAN uses a central motor on the rear axle to drive its electric bus. This has several advantages: Driving stability and safety increase, as does the maximum energy recovery during braking. The power for the fully electric driveline comes from the batteries on the vehicle’s roof, which have an installed capacity of 480 kWh. MAN relies on sophisticated battery cell technology from the Group’s modular system. As a result, the electric buses offer a reliable range of 200 km and up to 270 km in favourable conditions over the entire service life of the batteries.

    The batteries are depot-charged via a combined charging system connector. An average charging power of 100 kW, the MAN Lion’s City 12 E is fully charged in less than three hours and at the maximum charging power of 150 kW, the charging time is shorter still. Charged in the depot, the long-lasting batteries guarantee simple integration into existing commercial operations. To ensure that it has sufficient charging capacity for the electric city buses, Anchersen A/S is planning to build an electric bus port with 25 charging stations at its depot in Jernholmen, just outside Copenhagen.

    Taking the newly ordered vehicles into account, the Anchersen A/S fleet consists of around 200 buses, including diesel and electric models.

    ,,Onze waterstof-personenauto Mirai is hét bewijs van de potentie van waterstof. In de industrie wordt waterstof al vele jaren gebruikt. Waterstof kun je vergroenen door die uit wind- of zonne-energie te winnen. Dat is een heel goede oplossing.

    Waterstof biedt echt veel voordelen ten opzichte van elektriciteit. Je kunt het relatief eenvoudig opslaan en transporteren. En in tijden dat de zon even niet schijnt of als er geen wind waait, heb je altijd een energiebron voorradig.

We hebben alles in huis: hybride, plug-in hybride, volledig elektrisch en waterstof. Maar voorlopig blijven wij vooral in benzinehybride geloven, want dat is nog steeds de voordeligste manier om de CO2uitstoot terug te dringen. In vergelijking met andere automerken zie je dat Toyota in Europa de laagste CO2-uitstoot heeft van allemaal. Dat komt voornamelijk doordat meer dan 60 procent van onze verkochte auto's tegenwoordig hybride is.

    Polestar haalt ruim half miljard dollar op

    (ABM FN-Dow Jones) Polestar heeft 550 miljoen dollar opgehaald bij nieuwe investeerders. Dit maakte het Zweedse automerk donderdag bekend.

    Onder meer Chongqing Chengxing Equity Investment Fund Partnership, Zibo Financial Holding en Zibo Hightech Industrial Investment. I Cube Capital namen deel aan de kapitaalverhoging. De financiële details werden niet gemeld.

    "Onze nieuwe investeerders zien in Polestar een aantrekkelijke combinatie van een gevestigde industriële en technologische partij met een zeer groot groeipotentieel in een tijd waarin de wereldwijde autosector overstapt op elektrisch rijden", liet CEO Thomas Ingenlath in een toelichting weten.

    Met het opgehaalde geld wil Polestar enerzijds de financieringsstructuur diversifiëren en anderzijds de productontwikkeling versnellen.

    Polestar overweegt om nog meer geld op te halen.

    100,000th NIO Vehicle Rolls off Production Line in Hefei

    NIO’s 100,000th mass-produced vehicle rolled off the JAC-NIO Hefei Advanced Manufacturing Centre’s production line on April 7, 2021. From May 27, 2018, when the first mass-produced ES8 rolled off the line, to April 7, 2021, it took NIO just 1,046 days to complete the production of 100,000 smart electric vehicles, with an average price of RMB 428,000.

    Hermes Orders 32 VDL Citea City Buses for Eindhoven

    With the order for the first series of new generation Citeas from VDL Bus & Coach, public transport company Hermes is investing heavily in the quality of public transport and the further greening of the Eindhoven region. The total of 32 VDL Citea city buses, based entirely on an electric drive train and with trendsetting features, will be seen out and about in Eindhoven from January 2022. This order is an important next step in the tender issued by the Dutch province of North Brabant, with the aim of switching completely to public transport that no longer emits harmful substances in the period 2016-2025. The contract with Hermes, which won the ‘Southeast Brabant concession’ in 2016, was signed. It covers new generation Citeas of the type LF-122 with a length of 12.2 metres.

    The new generation of VDL Citeas, which will consist of four length variants, meets all possible demands in the market; each model offers a solution without compromising on sustainability, technology, range, passenger comfort and capacity, ergonomics, flexibility, safety or Total Cost of Ownership. The 32 new generation Citeas for Hermes will be delivered in the first quarter of 2022.

    The new generations Citeas have been specially equipped with the so-called Brainport package for Hermes. These include safety systems such as the Forward Collision Warning and Blind Spot Detection system. But the interior design and special lighting in the bus also make the vehicles unique. Each of them is therefore a new flagship for the Hermes bus fleet in Eindhoven. Of course, the electric VDL Citeas are also equipped with measures to reduce the spread of viruses, such as COVID-19. These include filter systems, antibacterial coatings and protective measures for the driver.

    In the new generation Citeas, the battery packs are integrated into the floor as standard, allowing for more passenger space, up to a maximum of 110 people in a 12.2-metre vehicle. For this new generation of electric city buses, VDL Bus & Coach has developed a composite sidewall that consists of a single piece. This causes less vibration and reduces noise, which contributes to passenger comfort.

    The side wall improves the insulation of the bus, reducing the need to heat and cool the bus. Moreover, this composite side wall construction is 15% lighter than a conventional side wall. For VDL Bus & Coach, having an attractive design language is an important asset in getting more people to choose public transport.

    Designing an optimal driver’s cabin in the new generation Citeas was a top priority. After all, this is the driver’s workplace all day long. So no concessions have been made in terms of ergonomics, ease of operation, comfort and safety. The improved driver’s cabin in the new generation Citeas has been tested several times by knowledge centres and industry organisations.

    Polestar Plans Climate Neutral Car by 2030

    In Polestar’s first annual review, published on 07 April 2021, the Swedish electric performance car brand announced its moonshot goal to create the first truly climate neutral car by 2030. Polestar CEO Mr Thomas Ingenlath said “Offsetting is a cop out. By pushing ourselves to create a completely climate-neutral car, we are forced to reach beyond what is possible today. We will have to question everything, innovate and look to exponential technologies as we design towards zero. Consumers are a huge driving force in the shift to a sustainable economy. They need to be given the right tools to make informed and ethical decisions. This makes things very clear. Today, Polestar 2 leaves the factory gates with a carbon footprint. In 2030 we want to present a car that does not.”

    Polestar’s Head of Sustainability Fredrika Klarén said “We’re electric, so we don’t have to worry about combustion engines producing toxic emissions, but that doesn’t mean our job is done. We will now work to eradicate all emissions stemming from production. Now is a historic and exciting time for car makers, an opportunity to seize the moment, do better and dare to build the dream of climate-neutral, circular and beautiful cars.”

    Climate action is already being incorporated throughout the Polestar business, and climate targets are integrated in the Polestar employee bonus system.

    Elektrisch rijden in de versnelling

    Met de snelle toename van het aantal modellen elektrische auto’s komt ook de onvermijdelijke prijsdaling dichterbij. Bij normale (miljoenen)productieaantallen zijn de investeringen in onderzoek, ontwikkeling en productiefaciliteiten snel terugverdiend, en kan de auto-industrie weer terug naar haar riante marges. Zover is het nu nog niet, maar de verkopen zien er in dit verband goed en indrukwekkend uit. Tesla’s Chinese fabriek boekte in het eerste kwartaal van dit jaar recordverkopen, en ook de andere Chinese merken hebben zeer goede vooruitzichten. Ook de VW ID.3 en ID.4 doen het goed in Europa, naast alle andere merken; je ziet ze steeds vaker rijden. De nieuwe elektrische Dacia is de eerste elektrische auto met een goed bereik en een verkoopprijs onder de €20.000.

    Een voorbeeld en gidsland is Noorwegen. In het eerste kwartaal van dit jaar waren de verkopen van benzine- en dieselauto’s daar geslonken tot een historisch laag percentage van 10%. Noorwegen wil al in 2025 helemaal af zijn van de nieuwe verkopen van benzine- en dieselauto’s, en het lijkt erop dat dat wellicht al volgend jaar of het jaar daarop zal lukken. Twee of drie jaar eerder dus dan verwacht. De belastingen zijn daar uiteraard nog erg bepalend. De goedkoopste, maar zwaar belaste, op benzine rijdende VW Golf kost daar zo’n €35.000, terwijl de nieuwe elektrische VW ID.3 in Noorwegen €28.000 kost. Die bedragen liggen hier net andersom, ondanks de korting op de aanschafbelasting, de bpm.

    In veel andere landen zijn de belastingvoordelen niet zo riant. Maar doordat voor de veelrijder het totaal van aanschaf-, verbruiks- en onderhoudskosten van een elektrische auto nu al lager ligt, nog wel mede dankzij lagere (wegen)belastingen, versnellen de verkopen in alle andere landen nu ook. Dit alles leidt ertoe dat de productieaantallen bij de fabrikanten stijgen en daarmee ook de kosten snel dalen. En dat leidt weer tot hogere verkopen. De beurskoersen van Tesla, VW en de Chinese automerken hebben dat inmiddels al ingeprijsd.

    In hoeverre is de situatie in ons land te voorspellen? Onze overheid wil dat 100% van de verkochte auto’s in 2030 volledig elektrisch is, en slechts 15% in 2025. Vorig jaar bedroeg het aandeel volledig elektrisch al 20%.

    En stel je eens voor, het is 2025: de prijzen zijn zodanig gedaald dat de aanschaf ongeveer vergelijkbaar is, mede dankzij de korting op de bpm. De auto’s hebben als je wilt een trekhaak, en het bereik is met gemak 300 kilometer in zomer en winter. Er zijn voldoende laadpunten, bij je eventuele eigen oprit thuis, bij je werk, bij de laadpleinen bij grote winkelcentra. Als je uit eten gaat, biedt het restaurant je gratis laadmogelijkheden. Op de snelwegen zie je bij alle tankstations meerdere grote snelladers staan. Vorige maand — we zijn nog steeds in 2025 — heeft je buurvrouw een elektrische auto gekocht. Verderop in de straat zijn er ook meerdere gezinnen met een elektrische auto. En je hebt al gehoord dat ze gewoon op vakantie kunnen.

    Nu ben jij toe aan de aanschaf van een nieuwe auto. Is het verstandig nog na te denken over de aanschaf van een benzine- of dieselauto? Want kun je die nog wel goed verkopen na vier of vijf jaar? Dus je koopt ook die elektrische auto. Je hebt het eigenlijk al te lang uitgesteld. En als je die dan voor het eerst rijdt, dan snap je eindelijk: ja, dit is het nieuwe tijdperk van automobiliteit. Niet meer schakelen, een snelle respons van je stroompedaal, geen trillingen of herrie, geen zorgen om het bereik, geen stank, ook niet bij het tanken. Er is geen weg meer terug. De toekomst is elektrisch. En Noorwegen is het voorbeeld. Nu al, in 2021.

    Elektrische Audi A6 e-Tron komt ruim 700 kilometer ver

    Audi heeft de volgende generatie van de Audi A6 onthuld. Het is een elektrische, luxueuze Sportback met korte laadtijden, dankzij 800-volt technologie. Maar vooral ook zijn reikwijdte is opvallend: ruim 700 kilometer. Eind volgend jaar gaat de auto in productie.

    Op de autoshow van Shanghai staat de nieuwe Audi nog als A6 e-Tron concept. Een prototype dus, maar de auto die we in de showrooms gaan zien zal er niet veel van afwijken. Met zijn afmetingen (lxbxh: 4,96m x 1,96m x 1,44 m) is dit overduidelijk de nieuwe A6. Het studiemodel heeft een Cw-waarde van slechts 0,22 en lijkt dus perfect gestroomlijnd: ideaal voor een elektrische auto om met zo weinig mogelijk luchtweerstand op volle batterijen zo ver mogelijk te komen.

    Ook heeft de A6 e-Tron concept compacte virtuele buitenspiegels (camera's), eveneens bedoeld voor minder luchtweerstand. En de bijzondere Heliosilver-lak van het studiemodel kan een aanzienlijk deel van de zonnestraling reflecteren. Dit vermindert de opwarming van het interieur en daarmee het energieverbruik van de airconditioning, aldus Audi.

    Lichtshow
    De nieuwe A6 wordt bovendien een lichtshow op wielen, zo lijkt het. Zowel voor als achter zijn er smalle lichtunits die gebruikmaken van Digital Matrix led- en oled-technologie voor een extreem hoge lichtopbrengst. Aan beide kanten van de carrosserie zijn drie hoge resolutie led-projectors ingebouwd. Zij creëren dynamische lichteffecten bij het in- en uitstappen, bijvoorbeeld door de passagiers in hun eigen taal te verwelkomen. Ook kunnen de visuele effecten van deze projectors fietsers waarschuwen voor een autoportier dat geopend wordt.

    De Matrix led-koplampen kunnen dankzij hun hoge resolutie zelfs videogames op een muur projecteren. Zo kunnen de inzittenden bijvoorbeeld in XXL-formaat gamen terwijl de batterijen van de auto worden geladen. Hun smartphones fungeren daarbij als controller. En de oled-technologie van de doorlopende lichtstrip achterop de auto maakt zelf in te stellen 3D-lichteffecten mogelijk.

    Quattro
    Het Premium Platform Electric (PPE) heeft een batterijenpakket dat tussen de assen is geplaatst. Het maakt onder meer ‘electric quattro’ vierwielaandrijving met volledig variabele aandrijfkrachtverdeling mogelijk. De aandrijflijn bestaat uit een 100 kWh accupakket en twee elektromotoren (systeemvermogen 350 kW). Het veercomfort lijkt dik in orde: het studiemodel heeft een multi-link wielophanging voor en achter in combinatie met luchtvering en dempercontrole.

    Het PPE-platform brengt net als bij de Porsche Taycan 800-volt laadtechnologie met zich mee. Hierdoor is supersnel laden met 270 kW mogelijk is. Tien minuten laden brengt ruim 300 kilometer extra actieradius. En in minder dan 25 minuten is het 100 kWh-accupakket 5 naar 80 procent op te laden. Nog indrukwekkender is de actieradius van maximaal 700 kilometer. De basisversie van de elektrische A6 accelereert straks in minder dan 7 seconden van 0-100 km/u. De topuitvoering heeft hier nog geen 4 seconden voor nodig.

The partnership between Sinopec and NIO is an important milestone for further developing China’s smart EV industry, a concrete measure to help achieve peak carbon emissions and achieve carbon neutrality, a key step in developing global, green, and innovative transportation initiatives and innovations.

    As a smart battery swap system enabled by software-defined cloud computing, NIO Power Swap Station 2.0 is the world’s first mass-produced battery swap station that allows the vehicle to maneuver into the station automatically. Each NIO Power Swap Station 2.0 has 239 sensors and four collaborating cloud computing systems that maximize the application of visual recognition technologies. Enabled by the technology, users can complete a self-service battery swap with only one click while staying in the car. The system is capable of completing up to 312 battery swaps per day, significantly improving swapping efficiency.

    Sinopec and NIO also signed a strategic partnership agreement. In addition to battery charging and swapping network development. The two will comprehensively cooperate in new materials, smart EV tech., Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), vehicle purchasing, and recreational facility constructions to further leverage their advantages in building an innovative collaboration model between the global energy and automotive industries.

    Solaris Urbino 15 LE Electric Named Best Electric Bus

    15 April 2021 saw the ceremonial prize award by the busplaner magazine, which is one of the lead opinion-forming trade magazines in Europe. The event was broadcast from Berlin, from the Bus2Bus conference which was held online due to the pandemic restrictions. The Solaris Urbino 15 LE electric was named winner in the category “electric bus”.

    The Urbino 15 LE electric is the first electric bus made by Solaris designed both for city and intercity routes. Marking a highly important step towards zero-emission transport, this feature became a key argument for the jury in support of awarding the firm. This bus is an excellent, ecological alternative for diesel models currently prevailing in the segment of intercity transport vehicles. This comes as a response to the needs of European carriers, and it makes for a completely emission-free alternative in this class for CNG-fuelled buses.

    The award handed out in this year’s busplaner competition is not the first one claimed by the bus producer. So far Solaris has received distinctions in the categories “concept vehicle” for its Urbino 12 hydrogen (in 2019) and the “Innovation of the Year” for the new Urbino 12 electric (2018), the Urbino 18,75 electric (2014) and the Urbino 8,9 LE electric (2012).

    Volvo Electric Trucks for Californian Logistics Company

    Volvo Trucks North America customer Quality Custom Distribution, a national food service logistics supplier, will deploy 14 Volvo VNR Electric models in its Southern California last-mile delivery routes. For Volvo Trucks the deal represent the largest single purchasing commitment of electric trucks to date. Volvo Trucks will deliver the Class 8 battery-electric trucks to QCD over the next two years beginning this fall.

    The 14 leased Volvo VNR Electric trucks and supporting charging equipment are being funded in large part by a grant awarded to Volvo Financial Services (VFS) from the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee’s (MSRC), which is a committee of California’s largest transportation and clean air agencies and stakeholders.

    Through the Volvo LIGHTS project, QCD recently took delivery of its first Volvo VNR Electric. With this additional order, QCD’s total fleet of VNR Electric trucks will reach 15 by the end of 2022. QCD, a Golden State Foods (GSF) company, provides custom distribution services to thousands of America’s most iconic restaurants and currently operates a fleet of 700 Class 8 tractors, more than half of which are Volvo VNR and VNL models. GSF is one of the world’s largest diversified suppliers to the food service and retail industries.

    Volvo Trucks began taking customer orders for its VNR Electric model last December and has multiple customer deliveries scheduled throughout 2021.

    Geely Unveils Zeekr 001

    As part of its brand offering, Zeekr will take aim at the premium EV segment in China and selected global markets. Zeekr is a new electric mobility technology and solutions company created by Geely Holding Group to satisfy the global demand for premium electric vehicles. In this rapidly growing segment, consumers are increasingly considering new market entry brands that utilize technology to introduce greater levels of convenience, comfort and luxury to provide a better vehicle ownership experience.

    The Zeekr brand will put its end users at the forefront of the brand building and product development process, and will also become an energy provider through the creation of a China-wide Zeekr charging network that will offer high speed charging facilities of up to 360Kwh, among the fastest offered today.

    The first model from Zeekr is the 001, the world’s first mass produced pure electric shooting brake. Designed in Sweden at Geely Design Gothenburg, the 001 was designed with the mandate of “No More Boring EV’s” – all new cars from the Zeekr brand must be created to excite users rather than simply be commuter tools. The 001 is the first electric vehicle that combines high end intelligence and connectivity from Chinese market vehicles, with raw performance and drivability from Western electric vehicle brands, into a single combined package that can perform and excite.

    The 001 measures in at (LxWxH) 4970mm, 1999mm, 1560mm with a wheelbase of 3005mm which gives a total luggage space of 2144 litres, one of the biggest in its class.

    Based on Geely Holding’s global electric architecture, SEA, the 001 will offer an uncompromised experience for future EV users; on the hardware front, the 001 will offer air suspension that automatically adjusts ground clearance from 117mm to 205mm based on user requirements, frameless automatic doors that detect passengers approaching and close the door upon entry. On the software and technology front, the 001 will automatically detect approaching users via facial recognition and automatically adjust the 001 to their personal preferences. The 001 will also benefit from full lifetime, Over the Air updates with updates coming at least once per quarter to keep the car ownership highly competitive.

    Washington State Department Selects Proterra Electric Bus

    Leading innovator in heavy-duty electric transportation Proterra Inc announced that it has been selected by the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services as a vendor to supply zero-emission battery-electric transit buses and charging infrastructure under the state’s regional Cooperative Purchasing Contract. Proterra was chosen to help streamline local transit agencies’ access to vehicles that best meet their specific transit system needs. Transit agencies, universities, and other commercial operators can now purchase Proterra battery-electric buses as well as Proterra charging infrastructure through the Washington State Cooperating Purchasing program’s pre-established contract.

    Proterra battery-electric buses feature zero tailpipe emissions, saving approximately 230,000 pounds of greenhouse gases annually when replacing diesel buses. The purpose-built electric buses further offer a quieter ride for reduced noise pollution, greater efficiency, and lower operating costs than combustion engine vehicles.

    In 2020, Proterra introduced its fifth-generation battery-electric transit vehicle, the Proterra ZX5. The ZX5 electric transit bus features a new streamlined vehicle design and maximizes the amount of energy that can be stored on board the vehicle to increase power and range. The 40-foot Proterra ZX5 can be equipped with 675 kWh of energy storage to deliver up to 329 miles of drive range, which represents the most energy storage and longest drive range of any 40-foot electric bus available in the market today. The ZX5 is available to customers today as a 35-foot and 40-foot bus and in models featuring 450 kWh and 225 kWh of energy storage capacity.

    In addition to its transit products, Proterra Energy fleet solutions offers a turn-key approach to delivering the complete energy ecosystem for heavy-duty electric fleets, including charging infrastructure design, build, financing, operations, maintenance and energy optimization.
