Goede nieuwsgaring usg fan, dank. Ook voor Montana voor deze bijdrage: Piper Jaffray analyst Joshua Schimmer noted investor concern over the timing of uniQure's CEO change, but he said the transition has been in the works for a while and is in no way related to the company's upcoming hemophilia trial readout. Schimmer, who notes that incoming CEO Dan Soland brings a track record of execution
Met de vriendelijke groeten van Dr ALDAG: From a personal perspective the last six years were very challenging and I needed to make a change. There is never an ideal moment, but after all the successes - Glybera, validation of our AAV5 insect cell technology in the CNS, BMS collaboration - and having built such a strong financial position for QURE (we will have more than 200 m end of year) I asked the board to think about my succession. It was important that we would find an operationally strong leader who would have a tight grip on building out the portfolio and eventually commercial infrastructure. I am fully supporting the new management of the company. Also, I would like to assure you that there is no change over gudiance/ outlook given in our recent calls and public statements. Warm regards and thanks for all your support in recent years! Joern

Soland replaces Aldag as uniQure CEO Published on Friday, December 18, 2015 uniQure N.V. (NASDAQ:QURE) named Dan Soland CEO to succeed Joern Aldag, who had been planning to step down as soon as a replacement could be found. Soland was VP and COO at ViroPharma Inc., which Shire plc (LSE:SHP; NASDAQ:SHPG) acquired.Aldag told BioCentury he intends to focus on board activities at Molecular Partners AG (SIX:MOLN), where he is chairman, and G7 Therapeutics AG (Zurich, Switzerland). He also said he has a plan to start a new company. uniQure plans to announce top-line data in January from the first two patients in a Phase I/II study of AMT-060 to treat hemophilia B (see BioCentury Extra, Dec. 1). The company also said in November it would not pursue FDA approval of Glybera alipogene tiparvovec. The gene therapy consisting of an adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector carrying lipoprotein lipase (LPL) gene is approved in the EU to treat LPL deficiency.

Eens.
