Als zoeken op ISIN code geen resultaten oplevert hebben wij het instrument of aandeel niet in onze koersendatabase.

    Driverless Transportation

    Last week, the Driverless Transportation Index (D20) followed the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrials down dramatically as all three indexes lost more than 3 percent of their value. The D20 Index lost 3.9 percent, finishing the week at 154.59 while the Dow dropped 3.7 percent and the S&P 500 discarded 3.6 percent of its value.

    Trading in the D20 last week was almost unanimous with 19 losers and a sole gainer, TomTom (TOM2), the high-tech mapmaker. TomTom jumped €0.82, or 8 percent, to finish at €11.03. TomTom’s stock price hit a six-year high as Uber agreed to use its digital maps and traffic data for more than 300 cities around the world. As the last independent supplier of detailed mapping information, rumors continue to swirl around TomTom as an acquisition target. Since its inclusion in the D20 on August 28, TomTom’s stock price is up 23 percent.

    Iveco and Astrata opt for TomTom

    TomTom has announced that utility vehicle manufacturer Iveco and fleet management company Astrata are now offering business applications that use the TomTom Bridge device. This is a seven inch GPS, reports the ATN website,

    which was specifically designed to run custom business applications such as fleet management software. As well as working as a general purpose GPS with lifetime access to updated maps, the open platform of the Bridge gives businesses the tools to develop software to integrate the device with whichever fleet management system they currently use.

    Iveco’s custom app will provide information to the driver, such as the data about the vehicle’s power consumption, and will also assess their driving style. Iveco has also announced that it will be installing TomTom Bridge GPS devices on its new Iveco Daily electric van range.

    Tot nu toe was alleen sprake van levering voor de Inveco Daily Electric, dus dit lijkt een uitbreiding van de samenwerking naar de andere modellen.

    !!! Hoho wat zie ik daar. Is TomTom onderdeel van een index die de D20 wordt genoemd? Een top 20 van bedrijven rond zelfrijdende auto's??? Dat is niet zomaar wat.

    TomTom wordt niet expliciet genoemd, maar bij projecten op de Automotive campus is TomTom al snel in beeld. Hoe meer linkjes er van de hele wereld naar Eindhoven/Helmond lopen hoe beter.     TomTom Speed Cameras App - now available on Google Play

    Amsterdam, 17 November 2015 – TomTom (TOM2) today announced the availability of its TomTom Speed Cameras app for Android, in 15 countries globally[1]. The free[2] Speed Cameras app offers highly accurate fixed and mobile camera alerts in real time, as well as average speed checks. The app only alerts for cameras on the road that is being driven on, minimising false-alarms.

    Corinne Vigreux, co-founder and managing director, TomTom consumer, said: “By launching the TomTom Speed Cameras app for free, we want to welcome more drivers into the TomTom community. Already, 4.6m drivers are working together to report and verify speed camera locations in real time – and now all Android smartphone owners can join us to make driving a more relaxed experience. We have focused on reducing driver stress, by designing a clean and simple app which minimises false-alarms for irrelevant cameras.”

    The TomTom Speed Cameras app provides alerts for both fixed and mobile speed cameras, as well as average speed zones. The locations of fixed cameras are provided by TomTom’s highly accurate database, and verified by a TomTom moderation team, while mobile speed cameras are community-reported and community-verified. The app can also run in overlay mode, which means that drivers can still contribute to the community and receive alerts while using other apps.

    As of today, the TomTom Speed Camera app for Android is available as a free download on the Google Play store.

    [1] Available for free in The Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Portugal, United Kingdom, France, Poland, South Africa and New Zealand.

    [2] A mobile data plan with the user’s chosen mobile network provider is required in order to be able to access all of the features of the app.

    Als dit nog niet tot een explosie van de koers leidt, heb ik er kennelijk geen kijk op, haha!

    Een gratis app? Ik weet het niet hoor, maar persoonlijk wordt ik daar als aandeelhouder niet opgewonden van. Is TT nu aan het vechten tegen iets of iemand, of wordt er door TT zoveel gratis aangeboden dat nieuwe toetreders er moedeloos van worden nog voordat ze toegetreden zijn. Dat lijkt me eerder, en daardoor positioneert TT zichzelf straks als grootste, beste en enige aanbieder van Traffic en Flitsers. De kosten gaan voor de baten uit laten we maar zeggen.

    Ik ben trouwens maar opgehouden met dat doorrollen van call-opties. Heb gisteren calls sept 2016 bijgekocht, daar leek het me een prima dag voor. En dan heb ik nu nog nov 2015 te verkopen deze week. Ik vermoed dat ik daar ook nog wel een profijtelijke kans voor krijg. En per saldo gaat dat dan beter dan het doorrollen.
