Grrrrrr.....
Series M US$578 million 6.4% (callable any time from September 2009) Series N US$553 million 6.35% (callable any time from June 2010) Series P US$247 million 6.25% (callable any time from December 2010) Series Q US$516 million 6.75% (callable any time from June 2011) Series R US$254 million 6.125% (callable any time from December 2011) Series S US$661 million 6.6% (callable any time from June 2012) Series T US$1,281 million 7.25% (callable any time from December 2012)
Uit IFR inzale RBS CoCo bonds: Royal Bank of Scotland has capitalised on positive quarterly results on Thursday and announced firm plans to raise an inaugural Additional Tier 1 bond, putting an end to one of the market’s longest-awaited capital raisings. The UK bank has mandated RBS as global coordinator and structuring adviser, together with BofA Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley as joint leads for the trade. RBS is the last of the major UK banks to issue a bond in this format. The state-backed bank posted an unexpected profit as well as an 80bp rise in its CET1 ratio to 12.3% between March and the end of June. “People are excited – it’s a long awaited mandate,” said a banker connected to the trade. “They’ve had their challenges but they’ve had pretty strong results this morning. For an investor, it’s a recovery story and it will offer a premium versus UK peers.” The bank will meet investors in the US and London from August 3, with a deal expected to follow in the second half of the week. “In terms of debt, the critical thing is the CET1 number, which has gone up. It seems like a good time to announce an issue,” said another senior debt banker. The bond will convert into equity if the bank’s CET1 ratio drops below 7%. As well as the 80bp rise in its CET1 ratio, RBS will receive a further 200bp–300bp boost from the intended reduction of its stake in US bank Citizens announced on Tuesday. This may be particularly valuable given RBS’s capital could come under pressure when it settles claims it misled investors in US mortgage-backed securities. The government, which still owns 78% of the bank, has signalled it wants to start selling down its stake as soon as possible, another key milestone. Depth in dollars RBS announced its intention to raise £2bn of AT1 in 2014 as part of an updated capital plan with the Prudential Regulation Authority following the UK stress tests. That AT1 and other capital measures put forward by the bank at the time meant it did not have to resubmit a capital plan with the regulator. But despite buoyant market conditions in the first quarter of the year, no deal appeared, leaving some investors puzzled. RBS will turn to dollars, bypassing the euro market, which is already winding down for August. “The dollar market is fully functioning and feels a little bit deeper. It’s been very active so far this week and will be so for at least the next 10 days,” said the first banker. “For European issuers, it is cheaper to issue capital in dollars compared to euros.” ABN AMRO and Rabobank raised billions in the Tier 2 format recently, although RBS’s deal would be the first Yankee AT1 since ING’s dual-tranche in April. Bankers think RBS may need to pay a substantial premium to compensate investors for lingering risks. CEO Ross McEwan warned in April of another tough year as the bank confronts a mammoth restructuring and “conduct and litigation hurdles”. “They trade slightly wider in other securities and right now there is fairly healthy new issuance premium, perhaps 25/30bp, as well.” Barclays issued 6.625% perpetual non-call five-year bonds last June, which are now bid around 7.03%, according to Tradeweb prices. A Lloyds 7.5% perp non call 10-year, also issued last year, is bid around 6.82%. The bank is unlikely to tackle its full target in one swoop, more likely opting for a US$1bn to US$1.25bn initial deal. A second tranche could follow in the autumn
UBS shook the dormant European Additional Tier 1 market back to life on Friday with a deal that could herald a heightened period of dollar supply in the coming months. UBS, one of the largest issuers of CoCos across AT1 and Tier 2, opened books on a high-trigger Reg S dollar AT1 only a day after Royal Bank of Scotland announced its long-awaited inaugural trade. “They [UBS] are capitalising on good results; it’s a clever move. If you have good results and the market is quiet, and you have a well established curve, why not?” said one banker. The European market has been starved of AT1 issuance since the second week of June, when BNP Paribas and Bank of Ireland both issued €750m trades. It is the first Reg S dollar AT1 since DNB Bank issued US$750m in March. Bankers suggested the euro market is open to issuance, but dollars look more attractive on an economic basis. IPTs for UBS’s perpetual non-call 10-year notes started at 7.125% area. This was revised to 7% area as demand passed US$6bn. The IPTs were in line with where the bank priced a US$1.15bn high-trigger permanent write-down AT1, callable after five years, in February. That bond was bid around 5.836% on Friday morning, according to Tradeweb prices. The new deal, with expected BB/BB+ ratings, later launched in a US$1.5bn size at 6.875% on books over US$7.5bn via global coordinator and sole bookrunner UBS. There are 15 joint leads. AT1 awakening Issuance from UBS and the prospect of RBS’s deal have helped revive the AT1 market for European banks, after Tier 2 hogged the spotlight in recent months. “By and large AT1 supply will pick up, but more into dollars,” said one syndicate official. “Obviously there will be some people who want to go to the euro domestic market, so we will see some supply there. But for those borrowers that can look across currencies, the euro doesn’t look that competitive.” Royal Bank of Scotland is also angling for dollars, although in SEC-registered format. The roadshow for that trade starts Monday and issuance could follow the same week. Italian lender Intesa is also strongly rumoured to be preparing an inaugural trade. It has met US investors in recent months but could also issue a euro tranche, according Michael Huenseler, head of credit portfolio management at Assenagon. “It’s a trade-off – the market is deeper in the US, but people know the name better here,” he said. The bond is not expected before September due to European holidays. Round two This is the second round of Additional Tier 1 capital issued at the group level for UBS, after a three-part deal in May. Monday’s results had teased the market with the promise of AT1 issuance and “inaugural TLAC-eligible debt” in the third quarter. AT1 capital is expected to count towards safety buffers known as total loss absorbency capacity to be set by the Financial Stability Board. Like one of May’s notes, today’s PNC10 features a high trigger permanent writedown structure, meaning investors could see their holdings wiped out completely if the bank’s Common Equity Tier 1 ratio falls below 7%. That ratio now stands at 14.4%. While this structure prices wider than bonds with a temporary write-down format, most investors care more about the bank’s ability to pay coupons, particularly for a rock-solid name like UBS. The bank is once again employing an unusual greenshoe option, a tool borrowed from the equity market to help stabilise the bonds in the secondary market. “I’m pretty sure investors factor this in”, said one syndicate official. “Last time it helped the bonds trade up to two points up on the break.
Barclays issued 6.625% perpetual non-call five-year bonds last June, which are now bid around 7.03%.
"Britten versnellen verkoop Royal Bank of Scotland "www.tijd.be/ondernemen/banken/Britten...

dank je. 200k per item is me idd net teveel. Misschien iets voor volgend jaar :)
Al weer twee weken oud bericht: 06 August 2015 The Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc ("RBSG") completed the pricing of its: § USD 2,000,000,000 7.500% Perpetual Subordinated Contingent Convertible Additional Tier 1 Capital Notes callable 10 August 2020; and § USD 1,150,000,000 8.000% Perpetual Subordinated Contingent Convertible Additional Tier 1 Capital Notes callable 10 August 2025 (together, the "Notes").

Overigens beleggen instituten nauwelijks in coco's.

z M'n N-serie is vandaag gecasht.
