David Talbot, Dundee Capital Markets (8/5/14) "We continue to recommend Fission Uranium Corp. as a Buy. . .with today's 12 new scintillometer results from angled holes, it now appears as if a second zone can be identified to the north of the main R780E zone, and that the main zone may also be thickening towards the south. . .irrespective of the potentially strong grades and thicknesses found in hole-248, which should get investors excited in its own right, today's news is big and bring forth several ideas on where to test to come up with further uranium mineralization."

Rob Chang, Cantor Fitzgerald (8/5/14) "Fission Uranium Corp. has released scintillometer results from 12 new angled drill holes from the summer 2014 drill program at the Patterson Lake South property: All 12 hit wide uranium mineralization, while a total of 7 hit off-scale radioactivity. Given the results, the mineralized corridor on the R708E zone has been expanded by approximately 40m to the south and 50m to the north. The highlight drill hole is PLS14-248. . .with a total of 106.2m composite mineralization, including 18.2m total composite off-scale radioactivity within a 21.5m interval. . .the encouraging results underpin the growth potential of the R780E zone in every direction."

David Sadowski, Raymond James (8/5/14) "Last week, we visited Fission Uranium Corp.'s flagship, 100%-owned Patterson Lake South (PLS). The first set of drill results (14 holes, most angled) were also released from the ongoing CA$12M, 63 hole (20,000m) summer program; we believe results not only underline PLS' mineralized continuity, but also significantly bolster potential to the north. We urge investors to add to positions ahead of further drill results that corroborate this upside."

The Mining Report Interview with David Sadowski (8/5/14) "Fission Uranium Corp.'s Patterson Lake South has emerged as the best undeveloped uranium project in the world. There simply are no other high-grade, open-pit uranium assets left unmined, so the value of Patterson Lake is off the charts. Based on assay results released by Fission through the winter program, we estimate 70–80 Mlb of contained metal has been defined. We anticipate that its aggressive summer exploration campaign will add even more to that total. All of the zones are wide open along the strike and to the north and south, not to mention the numerous coincident geophysical and radon anomalies in the region. There are question marks, such as the price and timeline to construct a new mill, but we look forward to seeing a maiden resource estimate at the project, which should come out in early-2015.

[Spinning Fission Uranium out of Fission Energy] was a great move. Fission Energy sold its Waterbury Lake and other uranium assets and spun out the Patterson Lake South project and ancillary assets, including a project on the Macusani Plateau in Peru. It turned out to be a fantastic deal for shareholders. Not only did they get shares in Denison Mines, they also got shares in Fission Uranium. Fission subsequently acquired Alpha Minerals and is now the 100% owner of the Patterson Lake South project, which in our view has lowered the hurdle for the company to get taken out. Fission is our top pick among uranium juniors at current price levels, with a strong buy rating and $2 target price." More >

Canaccord Genuity's Morning Coffee (7/29/14) "Fission Uranium Corp. announced results from the first 14 drill holes of the summer drill program at its Patterson Lake South property in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin. . .hole PLS14-230 (line 915E) returned 6.1m total composite off-scale radioactivity in 128m total composite mineralization. . .and all 14 holes returned wide mineralization, with 7 angled holes and 3 vertical holes returning substantial intervals of off-scale radioactivity."

Mike Bandrowski, Clarus Securities (7/29/14) "Fission Uranium Corp. released results from the initial 14 drill holes of the 2014 summer drill program at its 100%-owned Patterson Lake South property. . .all 14 drill holes returned wide intervals of mineralization with 10 of the 14 holes returning intervals of off-scale radioactivity."

Bhakti Pavani, Euro Pacific Canada (7/29/14) "We maintain our conservative resource estimate of 85 Mlb uranium for Fission Uranium Corp.'s Patterson Lake South project and our Buy rating on the company's shares. The shares are currently trading at a steep discount to our unchanged price target of $2/share."

David Talbot, Dundee Capital Markets (7/28/14) "We continue to recommend Fission Uranium Corp. as a Buy and CA$2.10/share target. . .let the summer drilling scintillometer season begin; this is when Fission starts to move the most on market speculation. . .this project matures and we await an initial Patterson Lake South resource, but based on recent share price momentum we believe that its outperformance could continue through the summer on drill results."

Mick Carew, Haywood Securities (7/28/14) "The first results from Fission Uranium Corp.'s summer program further expand the R780E zone. . .highlights include hole PLS14-230, which intersected 6.1m total composite offscale (greater than 999 cps) radioactivity within a broader 128m total composite mineralization between 115–362m. . .the results suggest the potential for significant expansion of the Patterson Lake South system, particularly to the northeast."

Mick Carew, Haywood Securities (7/28/14) "Fission Uranium Corp. announced scintillometer readings from the first 14 holes of its summer drill program from its Patterson Lake South (PLS) project. . .all 14 holes hit mineralization, with 10 hitting high-grade intervals. . .these results suggest the potential for significant expansion of the PLS system, particularly to the northeast."

Rob Chang, Cantor Fitzgerald (7/28/14) "Fission Uranium Corp. has released scintillometer results from the first 14 drill holes of the summer 2014 drill program at the Patterson Lake South property. We note that all 14 holes hit wide uranium mineralization, while 10 of the 14 hit 'off-scale' (>10K counts per minute) radioactivity. . .the encouraging results, expanding mineralization to the north and identifying parallel mineralized metapelitic gneissic units, underpin the growth potential of the R780E zone in every direction."

The Gold Report Interview with Paul Renken (7/28/14) "A darling among uranium investors over the past couple of years is Fission Uranium Corp. It's run by CEO Ross McElroy and Chairman Dev Randhawa, who successfully sold the Waterbury Lake discovery and several other assets to Denison Mines Corp. And then Fission hit very high-grade uranium at the Patterson Lake South deposit. It has really come up trumps with that project. Continuity has been established between the individual ore bodies and Fission continues to add resource size through drilling. The company has not yet declared a resource but the suspicion among analysts is that it's between 50–100 Mlb contained uranium. It's going to be mined; it's a question of by whom and for how much." David Kratochvil, Euro Pacific Canada (7/22/14) "On July 21, Fission Uranium Corp. announced assay results from eight holes drilled at its wholly owned Patterson Lake South property. . .six of eight holes returned substantial high-grade assays."

Mike Bandrowski, Clarus Securities (7/21/14) "Fission Uranium Corp. released assay results from eight holes drilled in the R780E zone at its 100%-owned Patterson Lake South property. . .all eight holes cut wide intervals of mineralization with seven of the eight holes returning intervals of 2.36% U3O8 or higher."

Rob Chang, Cantor Fitzgerald (7/21/14) "All eight of Fission Uranium Corp.'s additional drill holes intersected uranium mineralization from the eastern half of Patterson Lake South. . .we highlight the fact that drill holes PLS14-199 and PLS14-189 represent the current easternmost defined mineralization of the R780E zone. With multiple mineralized intervals in both holes and the substantial widths and grades encountered, the potential growth of the R780E zone east of line 1080E is strong."

Morning Coffee (7/15/14) "Fission Uranium Corp. announced assay results from six drill holes drilled in the R780E zone and one hole drilled in the R1155E zone at its Patterson Lake South property. . .all six holes from zone R780E returned substantial high-grade assays. . .these results are the strongest from the R1155E zone to date."

David Kratochvil, Euro Pacific Canada (7/15/14) "On July 14, Fission Uranium Corp. announced assay results from seven holes drilled in the R780E and R1155E zones at its wholly owned Patterson Lake South property. . .while all seven holes returned wide intervals of mineralization, hole PLS14-181 (online 555E) returned high-grade mineralization of 23.53% U308 over 4m in an interval of 6.01% U308 over 17.5m. . .these results open up the potential to discover increased amounts and higher grades of mineralization from this area."

Rob Chang, Cantor Fitzgerald (7/14/14) "Fission Uranium Corp. has again released a set of solid assay results that have a positive impact to our resource estimate. . .we currently estimate Patterson Lake South to contain 84 Mlb of U3O8 and using $10/lb (which is below historical takeout metrics of $10.98/lb), the company would be valued at $2.18/share, or 85% above yesterday's closing price."

David Talbot, Dundee Capital Markets (7/14/14) "Fission Uranium Corp. announced assays from six holes at R780E and the first notable assays from R1155E. . .almost all holes could be considered highlights with high grades and relatively thick uranium mineralization. Gaps between known zones continue to shrink. We view this as positive and believe the market should as well. . .we like the high-grade, near-surface deposit—it's open, and the team knows how to find more."

Brien Lundin, Gold Newsletter (Jefferson Financial) (7/11/14) "With one of the best uranium discoveries in recent memory as its flagship project, Fission Uranium Corp. can hardly be accused of letting the grass grow under its feet. . .month after month, the company has released strong scint results and assays from its Patterson Lake South (PLS) project in Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin; recent weeks have seen multiple releases announcing high-grade assays from the main zone identified within the project. . .PLS [is] a large, shallow and high-grade uranium deposit that has an excellent chance of becoming a mine. . .Fission is a strong buy at current levels."

Bhakti Pavani, Euro Pacific Canada (7/7/14) "On July 2, Fission Uranium Corp. announced assay results from nine holes drilled in the R780E zone at its wholly owned Patterson Lake South property. . .six of nine holes returned substantial high-grade assays. While all nine holes returned wide intervals of mineralization, hole PLS14-186 (online 765E) returned high-grade mineralization of 23.41% U308 over 7m in an interval of 12.35% U308 over 13.5m."

    Fission 3 vind "anomalies"

"The recent airborne surveys at Clearwater West discovered strong radiometric anomalies near Fission Uranium's PLS property. These include a large cluster of results that may represent a uranium boulder train or outcrop. It was the discovery of a large anomaly cluster at PLS that led to the high grade uranium boulder field and from there to the high-grade discovery in basement rock at PLS. Just 330m from the PLS/Clearwater border, Fission Uranium has already hit anomalous radiometric results in drill-hole PLS14-255. This Fall program is an important next step in exploration as we work towards defining drill targets."

Fission Uranium hits a home run with maiden resource estimate: 105 million pounds out of the gate
    Tommy Humphreys | January 11, 2015

Ross McElroy (left), president, and Dev Randhawa, CEO of Fission Uranium Ltd on site at the Triple R deposit, in the Western Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan

Fission Uranium (FCU.T) released results from a maiden independent resource estimate on its Triple R deposit on the company’s 100% owned Patterson Lake South property in the Western Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan.

The resource estimate was larger than expected, coming in at just over 105 million pounds in the indicated and inferred categories.

    Highlights:

79,610,000 lbs U3O8 indicated mineral resource, including:
    High-grade zone of 44,297,000 lbs U3O8 @ 18.21% U3O8
25,884,000 lbs U3O8 inferred mineral resource, including:
    High-grade zone of 13,860,000 lbs U3O8 @ 26.35% U3O8

Here’s a link to the Fission news release.

The street was expecting 50-80 million pounds, which leads me to believe Fission’s stock will have a fire lit under it Monday, as investors try to determine what Triple R is worth.

Fission CEO Dev Randhawa told CEO.ca Friday he too was expecting a smaller resource, and noted that recent uranium takeoever transactions in the Athabasca Basin, where Fission’s deposit is located, ranged between $8 and $12 per pound of uranium in the ground.

With roughly 410 million shares outstanding on a fully diluted basis, investors now have some sense of what a transaction on Fission could be worth.

The deposit is also growing, with only 3 of 4 zones factored into the initial resource. There’s no telling how big Triple R could get with more drilling, and it’s already the third largest deposit in the Athabasca Basin, according to Fission.

There are reasons to be less enthusiastic. The uranium equities markets and spot markets have softened considerably in recent years. Additionally, there’s no active uranium mill close to Fission’s deposit currently. Further, the deposit is mostly under a shallow but sizable lake in Northern Saskatchewan. There’s also several years worth of studies and development work before a construction decision is made.

Still, Fission’s stock is likely to post strong gains on Monday. CEO Dev Randawa will be telling the story in New York City, Toronto and Montreal this week. He will be in Vancouver this Sunday and Monday with Fission president Ross McElroy for the Cambridge House Vancouver Resource Investment Conference.

Randawa is optimistic Fission’s good fortune will spill over to other junior explorers.

Ross McElroy, President, COO, and Chief Geologist for Fission, commented,

"With an independent mineral resource estimate comprised of 79,610,000 pounds U3O8 indicated plus 25,884,000 pounds U3O8 inferred, this is a world-class high-grade deposit of impressive size and shallow depth in the world's premier high-grade uranium district. The additional gold mineralization associated with the uranium resource presents an exceptional opportunity. The entire deposit is located in basement rock, which is a preferred host rock for development of economic uranium deposits in the Athabasca Basin region. What's more, the potential for continued growth is excellent and we plan to resume drilling later this month. All in all, these phenomenal results represent an incredible milestone for the team, the company and our shareholders."

Fission (T.FCU) up 20% on Saskatchewan resource estimate
    Stockhouse Editorial

Fission Uranium Corp. (TSX: T.FCU, Stock Forum) is up 20% in the past two trading sessions as investors responded to results of an independent resource estimate for two zones at its Patterson Lake South (PLS) property in Northern Saskatchewan.

Dubbed the Triple R, they contain an indicated mineral resource of 79.6 million pounds of U308, based on 2.29 million tonnes at an average grade of 1.58% U308, the company said in a press release..

That includes a high grade zone of 44.3 million pounds.

The company also said gold mineralization (38,000 ounces of indicated gold) is associated with the uranium mineralization in the Triple R and is reported as part of the mineral resource.

Fission said it is planning to complete large winter and summer drilling programs in 2015. A $10 million, 63-hole winter program is expected to begin on January 15th.

Fission rose 7% to $1.21 on Tuesday, leaving a market cap of $439.3 million, based on 363.1 million shares outstanding. The 52-week range is $1.73 and 65 cents.

Big possibilities for this junior uranium miner

    David Milstead

    Wednesday, Feb 11, 2015 7:34 pm EST

Investors have the blahs for uranium stocks, understandably so: The metal's spot price is down about 20 per cent since November, leaving the outlook for prominent names like Cameco Corp. middling, at best.

What if there was a uranium stock whose fortunes depend not so much on winning over these disinterested investors, but on the major uranium players themselves?

That stock is, in all likelihood, Fission Uranium Corp., a Kelowna, B.C.-based company with a project near Patterson Lake in northern Saskatchewan, in the Athabasca uranium deposit. It's inaccurate to call the revenue-less Fission a miner, since all it's doing is drilling and conducting studies to verify what, exactly, it has its hands on.

The answer seems to be, as analyst David Sadowski of Raymond James Ltd. puts it, "the world's largest, high-grade, preproduction uranium asset." And although the company's shares are up nearly 40 per cent this year, there's plenty of room for further gains, particularly if one of the major uranium companies takes a similar shine to Fission's future.

Fission’s shares, rising in the days before the announcement, have added another 20 per cent, to nearly $1.20, since. The eight analysts who cover the stock, who all have “buy” ratings, have an average target price of $2.31, implying nearly 100-per-cent upside.

An awful lot of the excitement is based on the idea that Fission will never actually spend the hundreds of millions of dollars necessary to mine and process the uranium. Instead, analysts suggest, one of the major players will pick off the company, either to build on an existing presence in the Athabasca region or make an entry to it.

“Yes, Fission Uranium is for sale,” says Dundee’s Mr. Talbot. “Its goal isn’t to be a mining company, but wish to find, grow, and de-risk exploration projects. The goal is to benefit shareholders and start again at an ever-higher plateau than the last time.”

(The company does not have a “for sale” sign on it, says company president Ross McElroy, but it does have financial advisers, including Dundee, and it’s opened a data room “in case somebody was interested.”)

Mr. Talbot looks at a list of comparable acquisitions and transactions in the Athabasca region since 2011 in which buyers paid $8 to $11 (U.S.) a pound for unmined uranium resources, and suggests $9.35 a pound leads to a project value of $1.08-billion. That in turns yields a net asset value of $3.04 (Canadian) per share for Fission; he then discounts it by 20 per cent, similar to Fission’s peers, to produce a $2.40 target price.

“This One’s a Monster”, David A. Talbot, Dundee Capital Markets

PLS is host to the Triple R deposit - the largest undeveloped uranium deposit in Canada’s Athabasca Basin District, which in turn is host to the richest producing uranium mines in the world. Growth at the Triple R deposit, and exploration elsewhere on the PLS property, is driven by a highly skilled, award-winning technical team and successful entrepreneurial management. Fission Uranium has 100% ownership of the PLS Property, which comprises 17 claims totaling 31,039 ha located on the southwest margin of the Athabasca Basin. The property is accessible by all-weather Highway 955 which continues north through the area of the UEX-AREVA Shea Creek discoveries to the past producing Cluff Lake uranium mine.

    PLS Discovery Highlights

Largest undeveloped deposit in the Athabasca Basin (see NR Jan 9, 2015):
    79.6m lbs Indicated, including 44.3M lbs Indicated @ 18.21% U3O8
    25.9m lbs Inferred, including 13.9M lbs Inferred @ 26.35% U3O8
The current indicated and inferred mineral resources are stated using a cut-off grade of 0.1% U3O8.
Shallow depth, basement hosted structurally controlled high-grade uranium deposit.
From Discovery to Resource Estimate, the Triple R Deposit was achieved in just two years of drilling.
Open in several directions and at depth
Including the two zones in the resource, from west to east, the four mineralized zones discovered at PLS so far are; R600W, R00E (Triple R), R780E (Triple R) and R1620E.
Up to and including drilling from the summer-fall 2014 program, 224 delineation holes have been drilled, with 218 holes intersecting mineralization for a 97.3% success hit ratio.

Regional Exploration Success: In addition to the resource and the associated zones, Fission’s summer 2014 exploration program drilled significant radioactivity approximately 17km south east of the main discovery (330m north of Fission 3.0/Brade’s JV Clearwater West project). Further anomalous radioactivity has also been drilled approximately 750m east from the main discovery.

Current Exploration Activity: A 63 hole, 20,230m winter drill program is currently underway at PLS with the dual purpose of growing the Triple R deposit and drill testing a series of high-priority targets elsewhere on the property.

Fission Hits Off-Scale on Land, 555m West of Triple R

    High-Grade, Shallow Depth, Wide Mineralization

KELOWNA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - March 1, 2015) - FISSION URANIUM CORP. ("Fission" or "the Company") (TSX:FCU)(OTCQX:FCUUF)(FRANKFURT:2FU) is pleased to announce results from hole PLS15-343 and the discovery of new high-grade at the R600W zone at its PLS property, host to the Triple R deposit, in Canada's Athabasca Basin region. Located on line 615W, 555m west of the R00E zone of the Triple R deposit, and 10m south of hole PLS13-124, the land-based hole returned 9.31m of greater than 10,000 cps radioactivity over a 65.5m mineralized interval, including a continuous 8.85m mineralized interval of greater than 10,000 cps radioactivity with peaks up to 52,900 cps at shallow depth. Due to technical problems, the hole was terminated at 368m in moderately altered semi-pelitic gneiss. A down-hole gamma log survey was able to be completed to 129.7m before being terminated within a strongly mineralized interval.

Ross McElroy, President, COO, and Chief Geologist for Fission, commented,

"This is an absolutely tremendous result that gives us high grade mineralization over half a kilometer west of Triple R deposit, which is wide open in all directions. It immediately puts the R600W zone into an elite class, hosting significant high-grade uranium mineralization, similar to that seen in the Triple R deposit to the east."

Hole PLS15-343 (line 615W) Highlights Include:

    -- Land-based, high-grade zone 555m west of the Triple R deposit
-- Shallow depth, basement rock hosted
    -- 65.5m continuous mineralization (between 105.5m - 171.0m) including:
-- 9.31m total composite mineralization of greater than 10,000 cps
    radioactivity, including:
    -- 8.85m continuous mineralization (121.28m - 130.13m) of greater than
10,000 cps radioactivity with peaks up to 52,900 cps

Cantor Fitzgerald: Buy rating and $1.95 target price for FCU
    -
    March 03, 2015 02:12 pm

    According to Cantor Fitzgerald:

    personal.crocodoc.com/EP02nn8

    March 3, 2015

    Company Update

    FISSION URANIUM CORP.

    Recommendation: BUY

    Target Price: $1.95

Game Changer: New High Grade Zone Discovered 555m West of Triple R

    EVENT

Fission Uranium has announced that it has discovered a new area of high grade mineralization, located at the R600W zone, situated 555m west of the R00E zone of the high-grade Triple R deposit on the Patterson Lake South (“PLS”) property.

    BOTTOM LINE

Very Positive - Based on past results we did not expect notable mineralization to appear west of the R00E zone at PLS. Drill hole PLS15-343 has certainly proved us wrong as it a 65.5m mineralized interval that included 8.85m of continuous mineralization with radioactivity peaks of up to 52,900 cps. This intercept immediately puts the relatively shallow R600W zone into elite class and significantly improves potential project economics as it is a land based zone. We maintain our Buy rating with a $1.95 target.

    FOCUS POINTS

? Potential Game Changer: Drill hole PLS15-343 represents the 6th hole defining the R600W zone and is the most notable one to date. The hole was collared as an angled hole collared 10m south of PLS13-124 (strongest interval returning 0.29% U3O8 over 6.5m, as announced on February 05, 2014).

? Further upside likely: The latest discovery on the PLS property is further evidence of the exploration upside still to be had. Given that a maiden resource of 105M lbs U3O8 was announced this past January at PLS, further resource increases are likely yet to come.

? Undervalued: At a Mkt Cap/Lb. valuation of $4.70/lb., FCU trades below the $6.04/lb. valuation attributed to the Athabasca assets of its closest peer, Denison Mines (DML-TSX; DNN-NYSE, Buy, Target $1.80)

    NEW FCU ARTICLE!!!!!!!!!!!

TORONTO – Fission Uranium Corp. is looking to sell a sizable minority stake in itself as its massive uranium discovery in Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin continues to expand.

Fission announced this week that it drilled a spectacular hole at its Patterson Lake South (PLS) project. It returned more than nine metres of “off-scale” radioactivity — which means more than 1,000 counts per second — in a long mineralized zone.

This could be significant because the hole was drilled more than 500 metres west of the main discovery. If Fission can establish that it is all part of one large deposit, then the project could be far bigger than thought.

“If there’s continuity, the number [of uranium resources] is ridiculous. We’re getting towards McArthur River and Cigar Lake,” chief executive Dev Randhawa said in an interview at the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) conference here.

Triple R's 780E Zone Increased Laterally, Vertically and On-Strike With Step Out Drilling
KELOWNA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - March 23, 2015) - FISSION URANIUM CORP. (TSX:FCU)(OTCQX:FCUUF)(FRANKFURT:2FU) ("Fission" or "the Company") is pleased to announce results from nineteen holes drilled at the R780E zone of its Triple R deposit at PLS, in Canada's Athabasca Basin region. Seventeen of the nineteen angled holes are mineralized, while 2 holes intersected narrow and weakly anomalous radioactivity. Of particular note is hole PLS15-368 (line 480E), which intercepted 8.98m total composite greater than 10,000 cps radioactivity with peaks up to 65,500 cps in a 57.0m zone of mineralization. Importantly, PLS15-368, drilled 20m down-dip of PLS15-299 adds a high-grade dimension to the significant mineralized lateral width added by holes PLS15-299 and PLS15-311 (see News Release Jan 26, 2015 and February 10, 2015 respectively). In addition, through extensive step-out drilling, the boundaries of the R780E Zone have been increased on multiple lines along strike to the east, vertically (both up and down dip) and laterally north and south. As a result of the success and speed of drilling, the winter exploration budget will expand by $3M adding approximately 28 holes.

Ross McElroy, President, COO, and Chief Geologist for Fission, commented,

"This latest round of drill results, which includes a large number of step-out holes, represents a big step forward in the continued growth of the Triple R's R780E zone. In addition to expanding the overall footprint of the zone, we have successfully targeted the on-strike extension of the high-grade domain west of line 495E. As shown by the model used for the Triple R resource estimate we released in January, 2015, each high-grade hole makes a significant impact on the size of the deposit, so continued extension of this high-grade core is a top priority."

Winter Program Expansion: As a result of highly positive drill results, together with drilling speed and efficiency and favorable winter conditions, the winter exploration budget is being expanded by an additional $3M. This equates to approximately 6,270m (28 holes) of additional drilling for a total of 26,500m in 91 holes. The additional meters will be used to test high-priority areas within the R780E Zone where specific step-out targeting of the high-grade domain is prospective. Additional drilling is also planned to further test the recent discovery of high-grade mineralization at the R600W zone, located 555m on strike to the west of the Triple R deposit
