Sopheon gaat in een consortium van 30 bedrijven geleid door Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) werken aan een contract met een totale waarde van $430 miljoen.
AMSTERDAM (Dow Jones)-Dat maakt het softwarebedrijf woensdag bekend.

Het betreft een contract dat CTC kreeg toegewezen onder het zogeheten Tank Automotive Research Development and Engineering Center Omnibus Program (TARDEC) van het Amerikaanse leger. Het programma is bedoeld om te voorzien in de middelen die nodig zijn voor de ontwikkeling van bemande en onbemande militaire grondvoertuigen.

De hoeveelheid werkzaamheden die Sopheon krijgt toegewezen is afhankelijk van goedkeuring van TARDEC aan CTC's voorstellen. Het contract heeft een looptijd van vijf jaar.

Net als jij volg ik SSTRM al geruime tijd. Die Web-based Knowledge Management Tool waar over gesproken wordt doet mij nog altijd aan een soort van opvolger van "Antenna" denken. Een connectie met Sopheon heb ik nooit gevonden op dit punt. Hoe groot schat jij de kans in dat Sopheon iets met (de interface t.b.v.) de Web-based Knowledge Management Tool te maken heeft?
ps. zoals je weet heb ik de ballen verstand van ICT.

American food and beverage company PepsiCo has announced that its dairy and juice joint venture which was formed with Saudi-based dairy company Almarai earlier this year completed its first acquisition.

The joint venture, International Dairy and Juice Limited (IDJ) acquired 75% of leading Jordanian dairy company - Teeba Investment for Developed Food Processing Company.

Almaria owned the Teeba stake, which it acquired in January 2009, and is transferring the stake to the joint venture at a cost, saudigazette.com.sa reported.

PepsiCo International CEO Michael White said this is an important step forward in the company's ongoing effort to build a diversified global portfolio of foods and beverages, addressing consumers' need for nutrition as well as fun and refreshment.

IDJ, which is held 52% by PepsiCo and 48% by Almarai, was formed to target opportunities in Southeast Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

Teeba is a leading player in the fresh dairy sector in Jordan. It produces and distributes a wide variety of dairy and juice products.
