    Onder de 40 was/is een goed instap moment omdat je dan op een jaar-low zat. Gisteren kwam er in een dag 5% bij en steeg de koers naar 43.
    Best leuk natuurlijk, maar het kan er ook zo ineens weer van af gaan.
    Dus, je kan een gokje maken op de q3 resultaten en het kwartaal-dividend meenemen of je wacht op de resultaten en beslist dan.

    Het fonds is extreem volatiel. Onder de 40 is een goede, maar omdat de piek ergens in december zou moeten vallen kan je ook nu handelen. Ik heb van de zomer gekocht op 47 maar heb inmiddels 5,50 dividend binnen, ex de GOGL stukjes.
    De vraag naar olie uit China blijft gigantisch, pijpleidingen vanuit Rusland zijn nog lang niet klaar en diverse stormen hebben de binnenlandse productie in de US een tik gegeven. Ergo: ik voorzie een goed eindejaarsschot voor FRO.

    Heb even bij Binck nagevraagd hoe het met de Golden Ocean stukjes zit, maar ze wisten van niets. Kreeg het toch echt via Hugin te horen, dus dit moet ik nog 'ns gaan uitspitten.

    Ja, het is toch echt zo, we krijgen 3 GOGL stukjes per aandeel FRO! ( zie de apart gezette alinea in het midden)
    Wat de Bergshaven-deal betreft, daar komt & 6 milj
    uit dus dat houdt niet over per aandeel.

    September 27, 2005 Frontline announced that it has approved the de-merger and spin off to Frontline's shareholders of the Company's newly formed Bermuda subsidiary, Golden Ocean Group Limited (Golden Ocean). Golden Ocean is expected to be listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange (OSE) and will maintain its share register through the Norwegian VPS (the Norwegian paperless securities depository system) with all shareholders required to hold VPS accounts.

    All non United States (US.) shareholders of Frontline, subject to certain exceptions as set out in the attached appendix, will receive three shares in Golden Ocean for each share they have in Frontline.

    All U.S. shareholders who are Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) in accordance with Rule 144A under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933, and who hold 7,500 or more Frontline shares, will receive the same allotment of Golden Ocean shares. U.S. shareholders who have less than 7,500 Frontline shares will not be entitled to shares and, together with all other shareholders exempted from the share distribution (together the Cash Recipients), will receive a cash distribution based on the market value of the Golden Ocean shares on the OSE.     Frontline To Receive Financial Compensation For Non-Completion Of Purchase Of Bergshaven

    September 22, 2005 Frontline announced that the transaction to buy 60% of the shares in Bergshaven was to be executed subject to pre-emption right by Bergshaven's existing shareholders. The existing holders would use this right to acquire most of the shares. Frontline will thereby not complete the purchase but will receive a financial compensation of approximately $6.4 million for initiating the transaction.

    Mijn mail aan Binck:

    Hallo Savio,

    Vanmiddag hebben we gesproken over de de-merger van Golden Ocean. Op 27 september kreeg ik het bericht dat de demerger van GOGL door Frontline ( FRO) werd afgerond, resulterend in een dividend van 3 aandelen GOGL per aandeel FRO ( voor non-US aandeelhouders)
    Bij mijn weten betreft het hier de laatste 12% van de aandelen GOGL. In twee eerdere uitkeringen zijn de overige aandelen aan de aandeelhouders uitgekeerd ( eind 2004, begin 2005).

    Nou het kwakkelt wat.

    Ben weer ingestapt op $ 2,5 minder met skippen van $1,50 dividend, dus ( ex belasting) een dollar winst tov zitten blijven. Tja.
    Mrs. Chung maar eens gemaild ivem GOGL spin-off:

    I have a Question concerning the de-merger of Golden Ocean. There have been several 'stock dividends ' of GOGL shares. There should be around 12,5% of those shares left. On the 27 th of September 2005 the following statement was issued:

    Though it is obviously some time ago now, I have never received the GOGL shares in my account.
    Could you tell me if the above statement is correct? I have tried to get this verified through my bank, but they say they cannot confirm this.

    OSLO, Dec 26 (Reuters) - Frontline (FRO.OL: Quote, Profile, Research), the world's biggest independent crude tanker group, is keeping the door open for new takeover talks with U.S. listed rival General Maritime (GMR.N: Quote, Profile, Research) despite previous rejections.

    "Frontline is engaged in the evaluation of potential candidates for acquisitions and strategic transactions," Frontline said in a statement published by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

    Frontline says may still attempt Genmar bid
    Frontline noted that Genmar said on Dec. 5 that it was not interested in a takeover by Frontline. There had been no contact since between the two companies, Frontline said.

    "However, Frontline may attempt to reinitiate discussions with (Genmar) in the future, either through oral or written communications, regarding a possible business combination," it said.

    The Bermuda-registered group said that its stake in Genmar, of 3.86 million shares, had risen to 11.25 percent from 9.98 percent because share repurchases by Genmar had reduced the amount of outstanding stock.

    Frontline also said it might buy more shares or sell out.

    Frontline shares closed on the Oslo stock exchange on Wednesday at 265 Norwegian crowns. In New York, Genmar closed at $37.80.

    Nog een lastige vraag ook, want als je wat op de websites van Frontline surft hebben ze het daar over een kwartaal dividend van 15 dollar cent en de laatste was in Oktober 2022.....Dus daar klopt iets niet. Ga me er verder niet druk om maken.

    Wat wel ONTZETTEND boeiend is , is de enorme strijd tussen de familie Saverys in Belgié en John Fredriksen, die als Noor wel zijn bedrijf in Cyprus heeft ondergebracht. Het gaat om de fusie, eventueel overname van Exmar waartegen de Belgische familie zich ONTZETTEND verzet en die de koers van Exmar de grilligste uitslagen heeft veroorzaakt.

    Bij die strijd om de macht worden de meest ongelooflijke trucen uitgehaald, maar daarvoor moet je die hele soap goed volgen. De CEO van Exmar wil zich graag aansluiten bij Frontline, dus bij John Fredriksen, maar de familie Saverys , de stamvaders van CMB, Euronext en Exmar zijn mordicus tegen en bouwen een meerderheid op, al lijkt dat niet helemaal te lukken als je miljardair Fredriksen als tegensttander hebt....

    Exmar nu ook operationeel momentum
    Voor de jaarcijfers van de rederij voor vloeibaar gemaakte gassen is het wachten tot 28 maart, maar het is een open deur intrappen dat die goed zullen zijn. Dat heeft uiteraard alles te maken met de verkoop van het drijvende LNG-platform Tango aan de Italiaanse oliegroep ENI en de verhuur van de FRSU Eemshaven aan het Nederlandse Gasunie (vanaf 16 augustus 2022). Dat heuglijke nieuws bezorgde het aandeel vorig jaar een opkikker, maar sinds het hoogtepunt van oktober noteert Exmar intussen lamlendig een kwart lager.

    Balansmatig zijn alle zorgen alvast verdwenen met de verkoop van Tango LNG. Die bracht 572 mln. USD op, maar kan oplopen tot 694 mln. USD, in functie van de prestaties van dit platform tijdens de eerste 6 maanden van tewerkstelling. De verkoop zorgt voor een nettokaspositie van pakweg 150 mln. USD. Operationeel betekent dit dat niet langer woekerrentes betaald moeten worden op de schulden, maar dat er door de rentestijging zelfs rentebaten zullen zijn. Merk op dat in dit verband overigens op dat de sterke dollar positief is voor de beurswaarde van Exmar in euro.
