    Zoals al veel eerder gemeld, klopt het bij Selwijn allemaal niet. Voor de kleine belegger is advies stap eruit nu het nog kan. Vanaf april geen accountant is wellicht einde notering. En of Selwijn al terug is uit USA is onbekend. Af en toe zelf persbericht erin gooien alsof het allemaal heel goed gaat, om koers naar boven te krijgen. Kan hij zijn gratis aandelen weer dumpen.

    Ook hier, zodra persberichten iets suggereren ( ongeacht de enorme disclaimer ) maar wat niet overeenkomt met wat de AFM laat zien, dan is het niet meer de "keuze van de belegger" mocht onverhoopt toch blijken dat iets niet klopt.

    Dus ben nu toch wel benieuwd naar de daadwerkelijke transactie wat heeft plaatsgevonden, icm het persbericht.

    Over persberichten gesproken;

    Persbericht DGB 24 feb 2021;
    DGB GROUP N.V. (Euronext: DGB, “DGB”) announced today that it is partnering with Quadriz B.V. (“Quadriz”), the trading and carbon project arm of forestry and agro-research group Investancia for Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation (“REDD+”) project development in the Chaco region in Paraguay.

    As announced on 11 January 2021, DGB is working together with Quadriz to source large-scale native forestland plots in excess of 50.000 hectares as potential land acquisition targets for DGB. DGB and Quadriz have now agreed to partner on forest carbon offset projects to reduce emissions from avoiding planned deforestation and to protect critical primary forest financed through the generation of high-integrity carbon credits known as Verified Carbon Units (“VCUs”).

    DGB listed a number of “partners” on its site, including satellite image specialist Maxar, a Peruvian offsetting organisation called Quadriz, and Amazon Web Services, the IT service subsidiary of the online retail giant.

    When Unearthed contacted these firms, they all denied having a “partnership” with DGB.

    Quadriz, which runs an offsetting project aiming to protect an area of the Peruvian Amazon, said that they had been in discussions with DGB but these had fallen apart and that, rather than pursuing a more substantial project, DGB had instead opted to purchase a small number of credits—around 30,000—from the project. Quadriz added: “We were recently made aware that DGB, has listed our project on their website in an inappropriate/misleading way, hence we have already requested for this to be rectified. However, we were unaware of being listed as a partner on its website, so thank you for the heads up.” DGB insisted, in emails to Unearthed, that it remained in contact with Quadriz in order to “source large-scale native forestland plots”. Quadriz did not respond to a follow-up fact-checking email on this.

    Duijvestijn told Unearthed that naming Amazon and Maxar as partners had been an error and that DGB is merely a “satisfied     customer of their software”. He said that DGB would remove references to those companies from its site.

    Er is overigens niets meer terug te vinden, behalve het originele persbericht, over de geweldige samenwerking met South Pole (het Zwitserse bedrijf waar veel negatieve publiciteit over verschenen is) voor het Sierra Leone project.

    En ik maar denken dat dat partnership met Amazon, net als bij Alumexxx, de hele boel zou gaan redden. Damn !!

    Overigens, South Pole niet meer, maar Verra nog wel. Volgens mij is onderstaande hier nooit geplakt, tis ook wel veel om alles over te nemen :

    Why is the Guardian so negative about conserving rainforests?

    The Guardian published an article this week that raised concerns about the effectiveness of rainforest carbon-offset projects, known as REDD+ projects, in reducing deforestation and carbon emissions. REDD+ projects are part of the Voluntary Carbon Standard and aim to protect and restore forests in order to reduce carbon emissions. However, the Guardian article suggests that the methodologies used in these projects are fundamentally flawed and lead to inaccurate conclusions.

    This is a serious concern, not only for companies that depend on carbon offsetting as part of their net zero and biodiversity strategies, but for the planet as a whole. Deforestation and biodiversity loss are major global issues, and it is crucial that any efforts to address them are based on sound science and accurate data.

    As the CEO of DGB Group, a carbon project developer with a long history of working to protect and restore nature, I feel compelled to address the concerns raised by the Guardian. Furthermore, I want to provide some context to carbon offsetting and the voluntary carbon markets.

    While DGB’s focus is on different categories of carbon dioxide emission reduction and removal projects, the Guardian’s reporting brings disrepute to the voluntary carbon market — to the detriment of genuine initiatives and nature conservation projects. Why are these journalists so negative about efforts to protect and conserve forests?

    It is important to note that the studies mentioned in the Guardian article are but a fraction of sources available on carbon offsetting and the effectiveness of Verra's methodologies. Other studies and experts in the field have shown that, when done correctly, carbon offsetting is a valuable tool in the fight against deforestation, biodiversity loss, and ecosystem restoration. The Guardian’s journalists seem to pick and choose their sources.

    Zeg, de salarissen moeten natuurlijk ook worden uitgekeerd bij deze kansenparel...Domme vraag en nog veel dommer idee natuurlijk en tevens dat kan natuurlijk nooit t geval zijn..immers liquiditeit is natuurlijk een non issue bij dit gigantische succes!

    maar gaat dat wellicht nu (ook) via t boekje?

    DGB gaat Ivoorkust helpen met bosherstel

    Geen financiële details.

    (ABM FN-Dow Jones) Het ministerie voor water en bossen van de Republiek Ivoorkust heeft een principe-overeenkomst getekend met DGB Group voor samenwerking in bescherming, behoud en herstel van bossen in het Afrikaanse land. Dat maakte DGB maandagochtend bekend.

    In de afgelopen decennia is het bosareaal van Ivoorkust sterk gekrompen van 16 miljoen tot minder dan 3 miljoen hectare.

    DGB gaat de regering helpen met zijn strategie om privaat bos te behouden door middel van zogeheten carbon credit-projecten. Eerst zal een haalbaarheidsstudie worden gedaan van de herbebossing van door de overheid aangewezen bosterreinen om CO2-emissierechten te verdienen.

    De samenwerking strekt zich verder uit tot het bosbeheer, ontwikkeling van natuurlijke bossen en de bewustmaking van gemeenschappen en producenten voor het bosbeleid en de bijbehorende gedragscode.

    Financiële details gaf DGB maandag niet.

    Ik wacht nog steeds op het bericht dat DGB gaat helpen in England en Schotland om daar de bossen te herstellen.
    Daar hebben ze sinds de middeleeuwen bijna alles gekapt en dat zorgt nu elke winter voor wateroverlast. Zou toch een mooie kans zijn voor Farage om nu weer eens positief in het nieuws te komen, want de resultaten van de Brexit zijn ronduit beroerd.

    Iedereen snapt natuurlijk dat Ivoorkust dit zonder de wereldspeler uit Holland absoluut niet voor elkaar zou krijgen.
    Ben heel benieuwd welke al jaren opererende werkgroep nu weer onder leiding van selwyn komt te staan.

    In dat verband, de vraag is al eens gesteld : heeft die meneer uit Kenia nu al op die mail gereageerd ?
