    The CSTO’s Impending Withdrawal From Kazakhstan Confirms Its Mission’s Success

    President Tokayev announced on Tuesday that the Russian-led CSTO’s limited peacekeeping mission to secure strategic facilities from terrorists has been successful in helping Kazakhstan restore its constitutional rule of law across the country.

    This came a day after the CSTO leaders’ summit where they agreed that what recently transpired there did indeed constitute a Hybrid War of Terror that saw a preplanned Colour Revolution transform into an Unconventional War that was partially orchestrated by external forces.

    The path forward is clear,

    and it’s that the military and intelligence services of the CSTO countries will build upon this success in order to more closely coordinate their activities and hopefully prevent any similar such Hybrid War of Terror from happening against any of them ever again.

    To this end, it would be a step in the right direction for them to formally describe their counter-Hybrid War tactics and strategies as ‘democratic security’ in order to officially introduce this concept to the wider world.

    Turkije stuurt hulptreinen van 750 ton naar Afghanistan

    Turkije heeft donderdag twee treinen met daarin 750 ton aan noodgoederen gestuurd naar Afghanistan.

    De treinen maken vanuit de hoofdstad Ankara een reis van 4.168 kilometer en zijn gevuld door 11 humanitaire organisaties met coördinatie van de Turkse staatsdienst voor rampen en noodsituaties (AFAD), verklaarde de Turkse minister van Transport en Infrastructuur Adil Karaismailoglu.

    “We hebben twee treinen van 47 wagons naar Afghanistan gestuurd met aan boord 750 ton aan noodhulp.
    De trein bereikt Afghanistan via Iran en Turkmenistan.”

    Turken vieren grootschalig zege op binnengevallen wereldmachten in 1915

    Turkije heeft zoals elk jaar de Strijd om Çanakkale (Gallipoli) op 18 maart grootschalig herdacht en gevierd. De herdenking markeert een belangrijke overwinning op meerdere wereldmachten tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog in 1915. In alle steden zijn herdenkingen en marsen georganiseerd. Ook gingen veel Turken naar begraafplaatsen waar martelaren liggen.

    De Turkse president Recep Tayyip Erdogan herdacht persoonlijk op locatie de soldaten die tijdens de strijd waren gesneuveld en zei dat de slag om Gallipoli een “getuigenis was van de moed van onze natie”.

    “De landgevechten van Çanakkale zijn een groot heroïsch epos dat de hoogste deugden van de vaderlandsliefde, opoffering en moed van onze natie toont”, benadrukte hij.

    Indonesia's President Joko Widodo announced a palm oil export embargo Friday; the ban is set to begin April 28th.
    Edible oils have rallied ~40% year to date, with the UN edible oils index hitting all-time highs in March; soybean oil in Chicago bounced ~3% on the back of Friday's announcement.

    Indonesia accounts for over half of global palm oil production, though palm oil is widely used in food processing and cooking, it's also a major ingredient in personal care products, including everything from soap and shampoo, to lotion and makeup.
    For energy investors, it's noteworthy that palm oil has long been a feedstock in the production of bio-diesel; in Europe, palm oil feedstocks accounted for ~18% of bio-diesel production in 2020

    A palm-oil embargo could complicate sourcing for consumer goods producers like Procter (PG) and Colgate (CL),
    while also posing challenges for processed food producers like General Mills (GIS) and Kraft (KHC).

    Door brandstoftekorten op de binnenlandse markt stelt India nieuwe exportheffingen op benzine- en dieselleveringen. Dit is slecht nieuws voor de Europese automobilisten.

    Bangkok Het conflict tussen het Westen en Rusland heeft de Indiase multimiljardair Mukesh Ambani lucratieve handel opgeleverd: de afgelopen maanden koopt hij voor zijn raffinaderijen aan de westkust van het subcontinent Russische olie tegen lage prijzen . Het hoofd van het conglomeraat Reliance verscheepte onder meer de eindproducten diesel en benzine naar Europa – en maakte grote winsten gezien de stijging van de wereldmarktprijzen.

    Some context why they’re protesting besides Iraqi Gov formation (non-formation). PM is calling on them to leave but no sign of that yet, they’re in cafeteria per latest reports :

    >> poverty of up to 50% in a population of 40mn
    >> 80% youth unemployment in some provinces
    >> 18% need humanitarian assistance

    More than just a maneuver by Muqtada al-Sadr. And one that contrasts starkly with the daily barrage of missiles launched by his Iran-aligned rivals.

    De Maleisische koning Sultan Abdullah Shah is maandag samen met zijn echtgenote voor een staatsbezoek gearriveerd in Turkse stad Ankara.
    De koning en koningin van Maleisië blijven de hele week in Turkije............!!

    Het is na 30 jaar voor het eerst dat een staatshoofd van Maleisië Turkije bezoekt.
    De twee landen hebben recent het bandenniveau opgehoogd naar een uitgebreid strategisch partnerschap.

    Aanhoudende protesten in Iran om dood Mahsa Amini na arrestatie door zedenpolitie

    Maandag zijn in verschillende Iraanse steden opnieuw demonstranten de straat opgegaan. Aanleiding is de dood van de 22-jarige Mahsa Amini. Ze werd vorige week aangehouden door de Iraanse zedenpolitie en overleed in hechtenis.

    Sinds de Islamitische Revolutie in 1979 is het voor vrouwen verplicht een hoofddoek te dragen. De Iraanse zedenpolitie houdt er streng toezicht op dat dat op de juiste manier gebeurt. Volgens de Iraanse autoriteiten was Mahsa Amini, die op bezoek was bij familie in Teheran, in overtreding van de voorschriften. De politie ontkent haar dood te hebben veroorzaakt; ze zou zijn overleden aan een hartaanval. Ook maandag sprak de politie weer van een ‘onfortuinlijk incident’.
