Haar verplichtingen bedragen in totaal $ 1 miljard.

Plug Power, Atlas Copco Gas & Fives to Develop Hydrogen Liquefiers Strategic Research Institute Published on : 21 Feb, 2022, 5:30 am Leading provider of turnkey hydrogen solutions for the global green hydrogen economy Plug Power Inc has signed a collaboration agreement with Atlas Copco Mafi-Trench Company LLC, the turboexpander technology center within the Gas and Process division of Atlas Copco and Fives, a global leader in brazed heat exchangers and cryogenic cold boxes, to jointly develop hydrogen liquefaction plants, also known as hydrogen liquefiers. Liquifying hydrogen makes it easier to transport, leading to significant cost savings and broader distribution coverage. This acquisition will also represent a capital expenditure savings of approximately USD 200 million for Plug Power over the next four years by bringing hydrogen liquefaction capabilities in house. Plug Power purchased Joule for a total consideration of up to USD 160 million Joule’s liquefaction process is being deployed in Plug Power’s green hydrogen plant under development in Texas. The proven cryogenic process technology that Joule developed for the gas processing industry is directly applicable to hydrogen liquefaction and has the potential to reduce the cost of liquified hydrogen by 25%. Joule’s capabilities complete this end-to-end green hydrogen solution for Plug Power, making us the only company in the world with such comprehensive offerings. Plug is building an end-to-end green hydrogen ecosystem, from production, storage and delivery to energy generation, to help its customers meet their business goals and decarbonize the economy. In creating the first commercially viable market for hydrogen fuel cell technology, the company has deployed more than 50,000 fuel cell systems and over 165 fueling stations, more than anyone else in the world, and is the largest buyer of liquid hydrogen. With plans to build and operate a green hydrogen highway across North America and Europe, Plug is building a state-of-the-art Gigafactory to produce electrolyzers and fuel cells and multiple green hydrogen production plants that will yield 500 tons of liquid green hydrogen daily by 2025.

Vandaag mijn eerste positie in Plug genomen.

1 maart cijfers!
Dat wordt een groot feest........!!!!
Plug Power: Increasing Conviction For The Green Hydrogen Leader The importance of green hydrogen is becoming increasingly recognized by countries all over the world as a viable and essential clean energy for the future. In early 2019, when attempting to look for countries interested in a national hydrogen strategy, there were only a handful in preliminary stages like China, South Korea and France. However, as of end 2021, there were more than 10 countries including Australia, most major countries in the EU, Chile have come up with elaborate and long term plants for the hydrogen strategies, with 9 more countries likely to announce similar strategies soon. The United States is also increasingly looking to incorporate green hydrogen in its total energy strategy, as the US department of energy having identified hydrogen as one of its key focus. It aims to reduce the cost of clean hydrogen by 80% to $1/kg in the next decade. Furthermore, President Joe Biden recently also signed into law the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which includes $1.5 billion for clean hydrogen manufacturing. All these points to the increasing evidence and gives weight to the viability and utility of green hydrogen not just in a particular country, but all over the world in several use cases. Plug Power (PLUG) is leader in the global hydrogen economy, and it is building a fully vertically integrated hydrogen ecosystem from green hydrogen production, to delivery and storage of hydrogen as well as energy generation. I have written an earlier initiation article for Plug Power illustrating why it is a strong buy in the green hydrogen space, which can be found here. Investment thesis I reiterate my earlier investment thesis as below, and I find that Plug Power has continued to show increased commitment towards becoming the global leader in the hydrogen economy and have further strengthened the following investment thesis: I believe that Plug Power is on track to becoming the global leader and the next Tesla (TSLA) in the hydrogen space. This is due to (1) Plug Power's technology leadership in hydrogen fuel cell systems. (2) Plug Power is vertically integrated in upstream and downstream segments of the hydrogen economy. (3) As a result, Plug Power is not just gaining interest, but also contracts from large, established customers. Positive business call updates First, PLUG management once again reiterated the guidance for FY2022 revenue to be in the range of $900 to 925 million. This continues to show strong momentum in PLUG's offerings and solid execution by management in a challenging environment with supply chain disruptions. In my view, there continues to be long term upside surprise from electrolyzers and hydrogen fuel segments. I believe we could see electrolyzer sales exceed material handling sales by 2023. In addition, we will see hydrogen fuel sales materially pick up and take over by 2025 as PLUG has new hydrogen plants built and ramped up. In my opinion, this is conservative if the proposed legislation in the US for green hydrogen tax credit of up to $3/kg and extension of fuel cell tax credits are passed in 2022. Taken together, the revenues from hydrogen fuel and electrolyzer sales are $20 million today but will likely reach $1.5 billion by 2025. Second, management continued to give investors further confidence in their green hydrogen production strategy. With PLUG's NY and GA hydrogen plants expected to be completed by 2021, as of Dec-21, there would be 70 TPD of capacity for green hydrogen production. However, this is in contrast to the goal of 500 TPD of green hydrogen production capacity by 2025. Management has already showed progress in identifying 16 project sites for these hydrogen plants across the US with an additional 3 to 4 projects in 2022. In my view, management is executing well to achieve the 500 TPD capacity by 2025 and with that, achieving upstream green hydrogen production expertise to further gain control over the entire hydrogen value chain and provide additional value to its customers. Third, on electrolyzers, management has showed that there is strong demand for its electrolyzer products. PLUG expects that in 2022, it is able to ship 155 MW from its 16 projects, and at the same time achieve a backlog of 1 GW by December 2022. As explained earlier, in my view, there is an opportunity for upside surprise here if the US tax credits were passed, thereby achieving almost 2 to 3 times the original backlog estimates. An additional project win for electrolyzers from Orascom for 100 MW of PEM electrolyzers also underpinned the opportunity in the ammonia industry to shift from producing grey ammonia to green ammonia. Fourth, we are starting to see significant progress on PLUG's power and mobility segments. The HYVIA JV with Renault in Europe is seeing very encouraging traction as the HYVIA JV has identified 7 customers and targets a total of 10 customers for 2022, with 70% of the year's target having been achieved. Management expects to deliver 1,000 vehicles, amounting to 30% of light commercial vehicle market share in Europe by 2030. On the stationary power applications front, management has also managed to identify 3 strategic customers with a potential $300 million in commitments from these customers by Dec 2022. In my opinion, management has continued to show its ability to execute across different applications and for PLUG to be able to excel in all its segments. Lastly, on material handling, I am amazed that PLUG was able to achieve its 5 pedestal customers ahead of its 2024 goal by such a large margin. This goes to show the strong advantage of PLUG's product offerings as well as the solid execution and motivation of the management team. The 5 pedestal customers are Amazon (AMZN), Walmart (WMT), Home Depot (HD), General Motors (GM) and Stellantis. In addition, the 3 additional new pedestal customers that are currently under negotiation is another positive surprise which could provide further upside to the company. Accretive and synergistic acquisitions and collaborations To be a global leader in the hydrogen economy, PLUG needs to establish and develop capabilities across the entire hydrogen value chain. To do this, PLUG has been busy carrying out acquisitions and forming strategic partnerships and collaborations. These will bring compounding benefits to the company as it builds a more resilient and complete ecosystem. More: seekingalpha.com/article/4490668-plug... Conclusion All in all, I continue to have conviction in PLUG in its continuous progress in becoming a global leader in the hydrogen economy. With the recent business updates, this gives me greater confidence that the company is indeed moving in the correct direction and at a rapid pace.
ffi.com.au/news/construction-commence... PP is involved. AustraliëConstruction commences on world-leading electrolyser facility in Gladstone, Queensland Media Release 27 February 2022 Construction of the world’s largest electrolyser facility has commenced today, the first stage of Fortescue Future Industries’ (FFI) Green Energy Manufacturing Centre (GEM) in Gladstone Queensland. The GEM will be powered by green energy and become a major new pollution free green manufacturing hub. The GEM will help create hundreds of new direct and indirect jobs in regional Queensland. Stage one is the A$114 million (US$83 million) electrolyser facility, which will be expanded as current demand indications crystalise. The GEM has several growth stages already planned into its factory footprint which includes green manufacturing technology such as cables, batteries, wind turbines and solar panels. The GEM will adopt world leading technology and manufacturing practices and will help transform Queensland into a green energy superpower. The electrolyser facility will have an initial capacity of two gigawatts per annum – more than doubling current global production, and enough to produce more than 200,000 tonnes of green hydrogen each year. FFI’s goal is to become the world’s leading, integrated, fully renewable energy and green products company, powering the Australian economy and creating jobs for Australians as the world transitions away from fossil fuels. FFI is targeting the production of 15 million tonnes of green hydrogen per year by 2030 – the equivalent to removing 60 million diesel fuel cars off the road this decade. The electrolyser facility will see Gladstone become a world leading hub for the manufacture of electrolysers which are vital to the production of green hydrogen – a zero-carbon fuel that will decarbonise hard-to-abate sectors such as heavy haulage, shipping, aviation, and industry. The first electrolysers manufactured at the facility in early 2023 are earmarked to be used in Queensland at FFI’s proposed green hydrogen to ammonia project at Gibson Island. Dr Forrest said “The GEM will become an epicentre for Queensland’s green hydrogen ambitions, building on Gladstone’s skilled workforce and great foresight in industrial master-planning including a world class port. “The world is moving on from fossil fuels and the green industrial revolution is underway. Fortescue Future Industries’ game changing electrolyser facility in Gladstone is putting Queensland at the centre of this revolution, which is creating an entirely new industry and thousands of multi-generational jobs for Australians,” Dr Forrest said. Queensland Premier, Annastacia Palaszczuk said “As a result of this project and others like it, Gladstone will become a world leading hub for the manufacture of electrolysers – vital to the production of renewable hydrogen. “The partnership we’ve forged with Twiggy and his team will create local jobs, support our economic recovery and create an advanced manufacturing industry in Gladstone that doesn’t exist anywhere else in the country. “There is no doubt that the hydrogen industry will play a key role in future employment, investment and export opportunities for Queensland,” Ms Palaszczuk said. Deputy Premier Steven Miles said “Not only is this project a win for the environment, thousands of jobs could flow from this manufacturing facility for Queenslanders in the coming decades,” Mr Miles said. “The start of civil works comes off the back of planning approval granted by Queensland’s Coordinator-General in November to progress the $114 million first stage of FFI’s Green Energy Manufacturing Centre at Aldoga in the Gladstone SDA. “The 100-hectare site in Gladstone is the ideal location for the first electrolyser manufacturing hub in Australia,” Mr Miles said. FFI Chief Executive Officer Julie Shuttleworth AM said the global demand for electrolysers is expected to soar as the world transitions to new energy sources. “Fortescue Future Industries is ahead of the curve. The electrolyser facility is set to be complete by early next year and will quickly scale up to meet the growing demand for electrolysers. We plan to manufacture other renewable energy components in future expansions,” Ms Shuttleworth said. The multi-gigawatt-scale electrolyser factory is a 50-50 joint venture (subject to approvals) between FFI and Plug Power Inc. The construction of the GEM will create more than 100 jobs during the construction phase, up to 50 permanent jobs and several hundred indirect jobs which will support the local supply chain. The further stages of FFI’s GEM will be delivered in specialist production lines according to the requirements of FFI and its customers, and could include the manufacture of wind turbines, high-voltage electric cabling, solar photovoltaic cells, modules and arrays, and associated renewable energy infrastructure.
