    Men hoeft maar 80 % te verkopen om al zeker 4 % winst te behalen en met de overige 20 % die dan nog rest gratis verder mee te doen.
    Als het de bedoeling was om er verlies mee te maken loopt het wel fout en kan men dit dus niet toepassen .
    Om verlies te maken met crypto moet men zijn momenten heel goed uitkiezen of het loopt fout en men staat op winst.
    Ik denk dat de hebzucht die in elk mens zit het gaat winnen.

    Warren urges Yellen to crack down on cryptocurrency

    Sen. Elizabeth Warren is pressing Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen to rally federal agencies to develop a "coordinated and cohesive regulatory strategy" on cryptocurrencies, which the Massachusetts Democrat says pose growing risks to the financial system.

    Warren told Yellen in a letter released Tuesday that she should tap the Financial Stability Oversight Council — a panel of top regulators that the Treasury secretary chairs — to "act with urgency."

    Warren said "cryptocurrencies currently touch or can ripple through nearly every corner of the financial system," with more than 2,000 digital currencies in circulation and a market value that could exceed $2 trillion. She cited specific concerns with so-called stablecoins, decentralized finance, exposure to hedge funds and risk to banks.

    "FSOC should review this matter and determine whether it is appropriate to utilize its statutory authority to contain the systemic risks posed by the growing cryptocurrency market," she said. "The longer that the United States waits to adapt the proper regulatory regime for these assets, the more likely they will become so intertwined in our financial system that there could be potentially serious consequences if this market comes under stress."

    Warren released the letter in advance of a Senate Banking Committee hearing on cryptocurrency Tuesday morning. Separately on Tuesday, the Senate Judiciary Committee was set to hold a hearing focused on ransomware and the House Financial Services Committee was set to hold a hearing on central bank digital currency.

    Warren has also urged SEC Chair Gary Gensler to look into the risks posed by crypto and urged him to respond to questions by this week.

    Grappig dat niemand in de crypto industrie zich zorgen maakt over de stabiliteit van diezelfde cryptoindustrie. Elke zichzelf respecterende hacker heeft inmiddels geprobeerd crypto's te kraken en soms lukt er ook wel eens wat, waarna de digitale gaten snel gedicht worden en het systeem sterker is dan ervoor. If it doesn't kill me, it'll make me stronger. De meest gladde oplichters ter wereld hebben hun 'get rich quick' schema gelanceerd. Echter, crypto dendert voort. Ik heb Andreas Antonopoulos wel eens de vergelijking horen maken tussen een rioolrat en 'the boy in the bubble', bij wijze van allegorie over de verschillen tussen het strak gereguleerde, maar kwetsbare financiële systeem en de crypto rioolratten die elke denkbare vuiligheid over zich heen hebben gekregen en daar alleen maar meer weerstand door opgebouwd hebben.

    The Senate’s bipartisan infrastructure deal includes new tax-reporting requirements on cryptocurrency and digital-asset transactions, and the industry’s supporters in Washington are warning of the severe impact it could have on the nascent industry.

    According to a draft copy of the deal reviewed by MarketWatch, the bill would require any person who regularly provides a service that executes transfers of digital assets to report those transactions to the IRS, like securities brokers must do for stock and bond trades today. It would also require businesses to report digital-asset transactions of more than $10,000.

    U.S. President Joe Biden and lawmakers have agreed on the details of a roughly $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure package with measures to step up tax enforcement around crypto assets.

    Taxing Crypto Transactions to Fund US Infrastructure Plan
    The White House announced Wednesday that President Joe Biden and a bipartisan group of lawmakers have agreed on the details of “a once-in-a-generation investment” in the U.S. infrastructure.
    The bill will be taken up in the Senate for consideration, the White House stated, adding that “In total, the deal includes $550 billion in new federal investment in America’s infrastructure.”
    Measures to step up tax enforcement around crypto assets were added to the infrastructure bill at the last minute to raise funds to finance the infrastructure plan.
    The $550 billion will be spent over the next eight years on roads, bridges, high-speed internet, public transport, electric vehicles, airports, and shipping ports, among other areas.
    The measures impose heightened reporting requirements on crypto brokerages and exchanges. They will be required to provide details on cryptocurrency transactions of $10,000 or more to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
    The provisions are expected to raise an additional $28 billion from cryptocurrency transactions.

    De prijs van de bitcoin schommelt vanochtend op bijna $42.000. Dat is het hoogste niveau in ruim twee maanden, hoewel de Chinese centrale bank aangaf door te gaan met de harde aanpak van de markt voor digitale munten. Chinese beleggers lijken de stevige maatregelen tegen technologiebedrijven meer te vrezen en daarom een draai te maken.

    De afgelopen tijd treden de Chinese autoriteiten streng op tegen de handel in cryptomunten vanwege zorgen over onder meer fraude en witwassen. Daarnaast wordt ook het minen van digitale valuta in China steeds meer aan banden gelegd vanwege het hoge energieverbruik dat daarmee gepaard gaat. De overheid heeft grote banken en betalingsdienstverleners verboden actief te zijn met de handel in digitale munten en diensten voor transacties met crypto's.

    ’Vlucht’
    Maar er blijven voor Chinezen altijd manieren om toch in crypto’s te handelen. Strateeg David Grider van het Amerikaanse onderzoeksbureau FundStrat meent dat de bitcoin nu profiteert van de ’vlucht naar veiligheid’, aangezien de Chinese autoriteiten techbedrijven genadeloos aanpakken. Zo mogen aanbieders van online educatie geen winst meer maken en moet Tencent afstand doen van zijn exclusieve muziekrechten. In reactie hierop ging de beurs van Hongkong vorige week maar liefst 5% onderuit.

    De bitcoin en andere digitale valuta’s worden ook gezien als een bescherming tegen de huidige zeer hoge inflatie in de VS, waartegen de Fed voorlopig niet in actie wil komen.

    Bemoedigende uitspraken van Tesla-topman Elon Musk dat er vooruitgang wordt geboekt in het verminderen van het energieverbruik bij het minen en speculaties dat Amazon iets met de munt wil doen, hebben er ook aan bijgedragen dat de prijs van de bitcoin vanuit het dieptepunt van onder $30.000 anderhalve week geleden met 40% is geklommen.
