    Overigens ook heel opvallend.

    Eerst was het in het geschreeuw en geblèr van al die betaalde lobbyisten: er zijn zoveel zielige minderjarige kinderen onder die vluchtelingen. Oh oh U bent een kinderhater als U ons niet onze zin geeft!

    Wat blijkt? Nederland dom maar goed zegt okay 50 echte kinderen en dan zo onder de 14 ofzo en ja die zijn er nu niet eens te vinden!

    Ja wel de groep 16 tot 18, maar dat zijn dat de vooruitlopers om de rest van de familie binnen te halen. Even een verhaaltje. Zeg 15 jaar geleden ineens toestroom AMA's zgn alleenstaande minderjarige asielzoekers.

    Oh oh zo zielig volgens de NPO Deugmensen. Waar ze nooit iets over melden, is dat IND ooit eens in Afrikaans terugkeerland nette opvang na uitzetting regelde en er niet 1 uitgezette zgn alleenstaande vluchteling ze niet meldde. Ze waren namelijk helemaal niet alleenstaand. Net zoals ik vermoed met die Mario.

    Dit verhaal is bevestigd door AMA's die uit de school klapten. Zij meestal niet eens de armste daar en vertelden dat ze gratis goed onderwijs in Europa e.d. wel zagen zitten en dat ze gewoon per georganiseerde reis met asielverhaal trainingen in Lissabon e.d erop uit waren gestuurd.

    Israel and the United Arab Emirates will sign a peace treaty at the White House, a source in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s delegation to Washington said Monday, upgrading the historic event from a formal recognition of ties with two Gulf states, including Bahrain.
    It had previously been unclear if the agreement to be signed will be normalization or peace, since Israel and the UAE had not previously been at war.

    At the same time, the prime minister said that he “does not forget for a minute that these are difficult days for all of us,” in light of Friday’s planned lockdown to curb the spread of coronavirus. Netanyahu noted that he spoke with Health Minister Yuli Edelstein and Finance Minister Israel Katz from Washington.
    Israel will be signing two separate documents, one, the peace treaty with the UAE, and the other, a declaration of intent to make peace with Bahrain, because there wasn’t enough time to draw up a full agreement since Friday, when ties were announced.
    The four sides involved agreed not to make any parts of the agreements public before the signings, but the source said they will discuss cooperation between the countries.

    The signing ceremony is expected to take place on the White House’s South Lawn, and 1,000 people were invited. Among the invitees are casino magnate and supporter of Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump Sheldon Adelson and Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs Director Dore Gold, who as director-general of the Foreign Ministry opened an Israeli mission to the International Renewable Energy Agency in Abu Dhabi. Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto will be the only EU diplomatic leader to attend the signing ceremony.
    Israel has sought to have its delegation stand at a distance from the rest, so that members will not have to be quarantined due to coronavirus restrictions upon its return to Israel.
    Netanyahu is expected to meet with Trump in the Oval Office before the signing, and their wives will have a separate meeting, as well.
    Much of the specific areas of cooperation between Israel and the UAE that Israeli officials discussed with their Emirati counterparts Abu Dhabi, led by National Security Adviser Meir Ben-Shabbat two weeks ago, are still under negotiation and will not be in the agreement on Tuesday.
    The peace treaty with the UAE will have to be brought to a vote in the cabinet and then the Knesset after Netanyahu signs it, which is the same process as past peace agreements. The treaty will say that it only goes into effect after the cabinet’s authorization.
    The UAE and Bahrain will the the third and fourth Arab countries to make peace with Israel.
    As for the Palestinians, the source in the prime minister’s delegation said “the diplomatic fruits will come later.”
    He would not specify if suspending Israeli extension of sovereignty to parts of Judea and Samaria or freezing Israeli construction in those areas would be part of the agreement.
    Meretz leader Nitzan Horowitz said in the Knesset that he heard from “authorized sources” that Israel agreed to freeze construction in the settlements as part of the peace agreements.
    A source on the delegation retorted that “Horowitz’s sources as a politician are worse than when he was a journalist.”
    UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Al Hashimy told CNN that the “historic” deal with Israel “is an indication that we are keen on a new narrative of hope and prosperity where you have dialogue and debate.”
    As it moves forward with the deal, the UAE is keeping “the Palestinian cause front and center,” including “their right to statehood and their right for a dignified life,” she said.
    Israel’s agreement for “the suspension of annexation is an important component here,” she said.
    The UAE believes that with its focus on religious tolerance and coexistence between Muslims, Christians and Jews, it has an important role to play in shaping the dialogue in the Middle East, Al Hashimy explained.
    “We have a different kind of vision for the Arab world and a different kind of vision fro the Middle East, which is a region of primarily young people who do not want to cary the baggage of the past and want to forge a new future,” she said.
    This future would focus on science, innovation, prosperity trade and investments, Al Hashimy said. The UAE wants to advance cooperation with Israel particularly in research areas regarding COVID-19 and artificial intelligence, she added.
    Defense Minister Benny Gantz spoke with his Bahraini counterpart Lieutenant-General Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Nuaimi and discussed the importance of the accords and normalization with Israel to regional stability, and opportunities for a close defense partnership.
    Gantz offered to host al-Nuaimi on an official visit to Israel.
    Regional Cooperation Minister Ofir Akunis spoke with the Bahrain Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Zayed Bin Rashid al-Zayani about joint cooperation between the two countries and agreed to a face-to-face meeting in the future.
    The Israeli and Bahraini ministers said they would seek to advance the principle of "peace to prosperity" between the two countries, echoing a Trump administration slogan about the Middle East, and spoke of their hope that continued normalization efforts in the region would benefit all citizens.
    Regional Cooperation Minister Tzachi Hanegbi told Army Radio that Bahrain chose to normalize ties with Israel now because “they very much like President Trump [and] don’t know what will happen on November 3 [presidential election]. They worry a Democratic regime will again arise that will abandon them to [Iran].”
    The source in the prime minister’s delegation waved off Hanegbi’s comments, pointing out that ties between Israel and Gulf States have been warming for years.
    Opposition leader Yair Lapid tweeted that “Minister Hanegbi doesn’t represent the opinion of the State of Israel about Joe Biden or the Democratic Party. I’m sure Prime Minister Netanyahu will clarify and condemn this careless and damaging statement.”
    Netanyahu does not have any meetings planned with Biden, who is based in Delaware, during this visit. The prime minister is staying at Blair House, the White House guest house, and does not plan to leave except for when he goes to the White House, due to coronavirus-related restrictions.
    Hanegbi also addressed the impact of coronavirus on the trip, asked whether Netanyahu should have postponed it due to the pandemic and Israel going into a second lockdown on Friday.
    “No way,” he responded. “War and peace are hard to postpone. There are moments which you embrace, lest you be left with regrets.”

    The United Arab Emirates has already begun including mention of the recent agreement between the UAE and Israel in the 2020 Islamic Studies curriculum and textbooks, according to an IMPACT-se report.
    The textbook, which covers the Moral Education curriculum for grades 1-12 introduced into the UAE in 2016, commends the Abraham Accords and teaches the importance of peace initiatives in real world settings.

    It also adds that the UAE is fully supportive of future efforts of reconciliation between the Israeli and the Palestinians.
    "It is remarkable that a textbook that teaches about the UAE-Israel treaty was on the desks of schoolchildren in the Emirates just two weeks after the announcement of the agreement," said IMPACT-se CEO Marcus Sheff.
    The chapter regarding the UAE-Israel agreement states that the "historic" agreement "stems from the values of our true Islamic religion" which pushes towards creating and "building bridges of cooperation."
    Along with the lesson plan, students are tasked with creating a presentation focusing on the importance of peace initiative and their country's specific role in achieving peace.
    "The treaty is not just presented as a fact in the textbook. Students are presented with the religious, ethical and national reasons to support the agreement and employ critical thinking in completing an exercise about the importance of peace-making," Sheff added.

    Inderdaad, een aardverschuiving en niet alléén voor het MO, maar voor de wereld.

    Hoe jammer dan dat alleen Hongerije dit heeft ingezien en het nodig vond om aanwezig te zijn.

    De EU daarentegen, toch nooit verlegen om iedere beweging van Israel (hoe klein ook) te becommentariseren, het hier niet verder bracht dan een paar zuinige 'positieve' opmerkingen, om dit historisch evenement verder te negeren....evenals de meeste Westerse media die normaliter altijd per direct in de pen kruipt als er iets fouts te melden is over Israel....t.o. 'de palestijnen'.

    Maar ja de Europeanen zijn samen met hun heilige koe "de palestijnen" achtergebleven met een tas vol zure druiven.

    Samen staan ze op het perron met hun lijst van 'legitieme rechten' terwijl een trein vol moderne en pragmatische leiders & landen het perron heeft verlaten......op weg naar volgende stations om meer passagiers te verwelkomen.

    Zoals Netanyahu in zijn speech zei......
    De circel van vrede is open voor diegenen die vrede willen voor ALLE kinderen van Abraham.

    Het lijkt erop dat noch de palestijnen noch de EU daar bijzonder in zijn geinteresseerd.

    Het blijft verbazingwekkend, dat vele columnisten,
    artikelen met historische onwaarheden, die ontelbare keren weerlegd zijn, toch blijven herhalen.
    1. Er heeft nooit een [ historisch ] "palestijns" volk bestaan. Deze term is verzonnenen door top-terrorist Arafat.
    Het zijn vooral in de vorige eeuw toegestroomde
    Arabische moslims en hun nazaten : dag-loners en oorlogs-vrijwillgers. Ze kunnen gewoon terug naar Jordanie, Egypte. e.a.
    2. Na 1948, is elke oorlog tegen Israel geïnitieerd door
    Arabische landen / Arabische Liga.
    3. De huidige feiten blijven, dat deze President van de V.S., meerdere omvattende initiatieven voor vrede in M.O. heeft ondernomen; die, zoals zo vaak, door
    de usurpator Abbas en medeplichtige terroristische groeperingen, werden afgewezen.
    Deze laatste overeenstemmingen, heeft deze President
    mogelijk gemaakt, en betreffen Servie, Kosovo, UAE,
    Bahrein; met uitzicht op meer landen.
    De doeltreffendheid van P.M. Nethanyahu rondde de
    uitvoering van het lopende proces af.

    Blijkbaar denken sommigen, in verband van het "EU"-konstrukt, dat het opportuun is de geschiedenis te vervalsen, en dat op die onwaarheden, een politiek beleid te vestigen zou zijn.
    Gevaarlijker opvattingen zijn er niet.

    Asielcentrum Harderwijk blijft volop nodig; inzet voor vertrek overlastgevers

    Het asielzoekerscentrum in Harderwijk blijft nog vijf jaar opvang bieden aan 800 mensen, verdeeld in 500 ‘vaste’ plekken en 300 om te benutte als het nodig is. Gemeente en Centraal Orgaan opvang Asielzoekers spreken nog over de voorwaarden voor het inzetten van die buffer van 300. ,,Maar eigenlijk gaat het niet zozeer om het aantal.’’

    Succes heeft vele vaders, maar mislukking is een wees, aldus een oud gezegde. Een uitzondering is de vredesovereenkomst tussen Israël, de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten en Bahrein, waarschijnlijk gevolgd door verschillende andere Arabische staten. Daarbij komt het besluit van Kosovo om zijn ambassade naar Jeruzalem te verplaatsen in de context van genormaliseerde relaties met Israël, waarmee Kosovo het eerste land met een moslimmeerderheid is dat dat doet.

    De luidruchtige Amerikaanse president heeft gehakt gemaakt van de algemeen aanvaarde wijsheid van het gehele buitenlandse politiek-establishment in zowel de VS als Europa, en zowel ter linker- als ter rechterzijde in de VS. De Europeanen en het grootste deel van de Democratische Partij hielden vol dat een oplossing van de kwestie van een Palestijnse staat een voorwaarde voor vrede was, terwijl de Bush-McCain-Romney-vleugel van de Republikeinen volhield dat Amerikaanse invloed in de regio een grootscheepse militaire inzet vereiste.

    Toen Trump in september 2019 aankondigde het minuscule aantal Amerikaanse troepen in Syrië terug te trekken, ging een golf van protest door de gelederen van de Republikeinse buitenlandse politiek-elite. Kort erna trad minister van Defensie James Mattis af. Mark Dubowitz van de Foundation for Defense of Democracies noemde Trumps beslissing ‘een compleet debacle’. Michael Doran van het Hudson Instituut, een vroeger lid van de Nationale Veiligheidsraad, verklaarde dat Washington geen andere keuze had dan Turkije in Syrië te steunen. Michael Makovsky van het Joodse Instituut voor Nationale Veiligheidszaken klaagde dat ‘Israël nu blootstaat aan meer druk en dreiging van Iran’.

    Maar Trump ging niet leunen op Turkije. Evenmin stelde hij het gebied open voor Iran. Integendeel: hij liet Rusland de ambities van Turkije in Syrië beteugelen door de soennitische jihadisten die gesteund worden door Ankara in toom te houden. Dat was bijzonder moedig aangezien er een heksenjacht gaande was tegen de vermeende ‘collusie’ tussen Trumps verkiezingscampagne en Rusland, een uit de lucht gegrepen beschuldiging van de politieke tegenstanders van Trump.

    Zoals Trump op 3 september zei tijdens een campagnebijeenkomst: ‘Als ik overweg kan met Rusland, is dat dan een goede of een slechte zaak?’ Als je Amerikaanse troepen weg wilt krijgen uit het Midden-Oosten is er geen andere keuze dan goed op te kunnen schieten met de Russen.

    Poetin vreesde het eigen jihadisme

    De Amerikaanse steun aan soennitische jihadisten tijdens de Syrische Burgeroorlog noodzaakte Rusland in 2015 te interveniëren. Een vooraanstaande Israëlische veiligheidsfunctionaris vertelde me over een gesprek met Poetin waarin de Russische leider uitlegde dat Syrië een zo grote magneet was geworden voor Russische moslimjihadisten uit de Kaukasus dat de Russische veiligheid een oplossing van het conflict vereiste.

    Zowel de George W. Bush-regering onder minister Condoleezza Rice als de regering-Obama onder Hillary Clinton en haar Europese gezant Victoria Nuland wilde Poetin tot op de knieën afzagen. Poetin reageerde met het inzetten van Russische gevechtsvliegtuigen en grondtroepen in Syrië.
