Als je het zwart ziet zou je kunnen zeggen dat de 304 weken compassionate use mogelijk maakt voor de deelnemers omdat men vertraging verwacht bij de trial of de registratieaanvraag.

    Of omdat de autoriteiten na voorlopige goedkeuring naar huidige verwachting ook nog een keer LT effecten wil zien.
    psA is denk ik een ziekte waarbij de symptomen even minder kunnen worden en dan weer opvlammen dus iets minder voorspelbaar dan reuma.

    Penguin recruitering is stilgelegd, dus vertraging is er zo ie zo.

    Op zich wel rond te rekenen met de beperkte gegevens uit het verleden. Gezien de extensie verwacht men nu uiterlijk 2h23 goedkeuring. Dat is over 3.5 jaar. Dan moet je over 2 jaar klaar zijn met je fase3 programma's (finch was dacht ik april 2019 klaar, verwachte introductie august 2020). Penguin programma's max half jaar doorlooptijd, dus dan moeten de studies uiterlijk eind volgend jaar vol zitten. Klinkt mij niet onlogisch in de oren. Geen idee hoever de recruitering al gevorderd is, maar nieuwe sites en patiënten zijn nu stilgelegd, en zal na opstarten ook niet direct op volle kracht gaan. De gezondheidszorg heeft momenteel even andere prioriteiten en zal na covid ook nog een flink backlog moeten wegwerken.

    RESULTS:

The ACR20 response rate was significantly higher in the filgotinib 200 mg + methotrexate (MTX) group than in the placebo or placebo + MTX group (odds ratio (OR): 12.39, 95% credible interval (CrI): 3.36 - 45.98.10; OR: 2.68, 95% CrI: 1.80 - 4.39). Compared to the placebo group, the filgotinib 100 mg, adalimumab 40 mg + MTX, filgotinib 200 mg, and placebo + MTX groups showed a significantly higher ACR20 response rate. The ranking probability based on the surface under the cumulative ranking curve (SUCRA) indicated filgotinib 200 mg + MTX was likely to achieve the best ACR20 response rate (SUCRA = 0.902), followed by filgotinib 100 mg + MTX (SUCRA = 0.694), filgotinib 100 mg (SUCRA = 0.675), adalimumab 40 mg + MTX (SUCRA = 0.661), filgotinib 200 mg (SUCRA = 0.305), placebo + MTX (SUCRA = 0.259), and placebo (SUCRA = 0.005). The safety based on the number of serious adverse events (SAEs) did not differ significantly among 6 six interventions.
    CONCLUSION:
    Filgotinib 100 and 200 mg administration once daily in combination with MTX was the most efficacious intervention for active RA, with no significant risk of SAEs

    Galapagos is a Belgian company that specializes in small molecule and antibody therapies.

    It was a solid performer and has been around for over 20 years. But its big break happened last year when Gilead approached the company and offered it a $5 billion partnership deal. This brought the stock to the attention of many U.S. investors who hadn’t paid much attention to it.

    And by December, that partnership paid off. GILD filed with FDA for speedy review of filgotinib, a potential blockbuster drug that GLPG developed and had in Europe in Japan but not the U.S. The U.S. is the market where the money is made, since pricing is far more dynamic than in other countries.

    The approval came in December. And this could mean big things for both companies. But since then, Covid-19 has taken the spotlight and Gilead’s remdesivir has been all the buzz.

    GLPG stock is up over 80% in the past 12 months, and almost 45% in the past month. Its management has also been wise enough to partner with a genomics company that provides what’s sometimes nicknamed “the mother of all technologies” to help discover new treatments and drug combinations.

    So, Geoffrey, I think just a quick update on filgo. We basically have hired all of our home office personnelj, both from a commercial medical standpoint, we've hired our sales leadership, field leadership as well and we're monitoring the situation really closely to be honest with you, because nobody really knows when this ends or what's the new normal and when not begin. And so we're just kind of monitoring that and planning for success to be honest with you to make sure that we are ready for launch for the second half of 2020 across all of the markets where we hope to get regulatory approval with the U. S., Japan, as well as Europe towards the end of this year.

    I think from a virtual launch standpoint, I think those are considerations that we're looking at in scenario planning and we haven't made a decision obviously that will be linked to the timing of this pandemic. Having said that, I will also tell you that a lot of our teams are doing virtual right now, many of the markets are doing remote detailing, virtual speaker programs, et cetera. And working through this environment despite obviously the opposites and patients not being open at this point in time. So, we're working through all that and looking at the different scenarios. But I think we need to know a little bit more information on the timing of this pandemic and how that plays out towards the end of this year.
