    Een klein stukje uit het verhaal door Dutchy Ron geplaatst.

    Toyota Research Institute – Advanced Development (TRI-AD) has completed a proof of concept for high-definition map-building with TomTom and Denso.

    TRI-AD test vehicles were equipped with Denso sensors, TRI-AD’s Automated Mapping Platform (AMP) and TomTom’s cloud-based mapping platform.

    Dat loopt toch echt op Azure :-)

    The vehicle sensors collected road observations, which were converted and corrected by TRI-AD’s AMP for input into TomTom’s cloud-based platform.

    Willem Strijbosch, head of autonomous driving at TomTom, said, “Survey vehicles, crowdsourced data and human moderation, among other data sources, enable TomTom’s HD map to be extremely fast and accurate.”

    Onderstaande alinea komt uit het artikel van FTM vandaag over de luchtvaart en slaat vooral op Amerikaanse luchtvaartmaatschappijen die eigen aandelen hebben ingekocht afgelopen jaren en nu aan het infuus moeten.
    Ik hoop dat dit verhaal niet opgaat voor de terugkoopactie van TT.

    "De aandelen, die nu dus voor een groter gedeelte in het bezit zijn gekomen van de luchtvaartmaatschappijen zelf, zijn de afgelopen weken fors minder waard geworden. Het is dus weggegooid geld, want het is verdwenen in de zakken van de voormalige aandeelhouders, die hun aandelen aan de luchtvaartmaatschappijen hebben terugverkocht. "

    @Tatje,
    probeer eens een minimum aan beschaving op te brengen.
    Dat begint met het correct aanspreken van iemand, m'n lagere school-zoontje doet het beter. Dus niet HET of KIDS, maar normaal NewKidInTown, NKIT of Kid.

    Ten tweede, kun je niet onderbouwd en in normale woorden posten dat je het 100% ONeens bent met mij of wie dan ook, zonder dat je de kans loopt geschorst te worden ? Zo niet, probeer dan eens een spoedcursus communicatie op internet oid.

    Wat je ook kunt doen: probeer je voor te stellen dat diegene tot wie je je richt, direct voor je staat en probeer dan te posten wat je in dat geval rechtstreeks tegen iemand zou zeggen.

    Huawei has reached with a Dutch mapping company that is going to function as the basis for Huawei’s choice to Google Maps. Reuters reported in recent times that Huawei and Dutch firm TomTom finalized a deal”a while back” to put TomTom maps on Huawei phones — a deal that has been reported for the first time last week.

    According to this report, Huawei will rely on its navigation tools in addition to TomTom’s maps and traffic-related data to create programs for its phones. This stems from President Trump Huawei year over domestic security concerns, which meant among other things that US companies such as Google can’t work with the business anymore. It remains to be seen just how the organization’s smartphones will be outside of China. The company is currently focusing on a replacement for Android, known as Harmony, and the TomTom-based product would be another Google-like service that’s not, in fact, Google.

    Zijn wij dan gek.

    Dan olie, dan Syrie, dan Iran, dan noord Korea.
    Dan handelsoorlog, dan lak hebben aan afspraken.

    In China en omstreken is het al bijna onder controle, terwijl Europa en de VS momenteel het zwaarst lijden en dat kan nog wel ff duren.

    De winnaar lijkt me duidelijk.

    Trouwens level 5 zonder stuur, daar geloof ik ook niet in, misschien op afgebakende terreinen en dan zoals postpakken door elkaar naar de goede plaats gaan.

    Een stuur zal ieder auto van jou en mij altijd nodig hebben.

    Maar op bepaalde wegen, gaan we level 4 zeker zien !

    Van Amsterdam naar Marseille op de autowegen level 4 , kom je dan van de route du soleil dan moet je weer zelf sturen.

    "US Automakers Beg For Tax Cuts And Delays Implementing USMCA Amidst Economic Shock

    While the economy continues its unprecedented collapse as a result of the coronavirus and the ensuing lockdowns, there has been nary an industry that has not gone rushing directly to Uncle Sam (and the taxpayer) for a bailout and/or some type of fiscal relief.

    The U.S. auto industry, famous for being bailed out in 2008, is no exception.

    Trade groups that represent the industry are now pleading with Washington for tax relief and delays in implementing the USMCA trade agreement, according to Bloomberg. They are asking for the concessions in hopes of blunting some of the economic blow from the shutdown of the industry, as a result of the virus.

    The Alliance for Automotive Innovation and Motor and Equipment Manufacturers Association has specifically asked lawmakers for a tax deduction or credit for companies that provide paid sick leave for workers related to Covid-19.

    They are also asking to delay or defer 2020 quarterly federal tax payments and for a temporary employer payroll tax holiday.

    Additionally, automakers are seeking to expand and extend expensing for equipment and machinery while at the same time delaying the June 1 implementation date for the USMCA.

    The trade group said in its letter: “We are already seeing a steep drop in retail sales over the last ten days, as well as significant disruptions in production, including temporary closures of numerous manufacturing facilities, while dealers and service centers largely remain open.”

    Recall just days ago we reported that the Big 3 automakers were shuttering all domestic manufacturing over concerns about the virus.

    All three of Detroit's "Big 3" automakers announced around midday on Wednesday that they would shutter all domestic production. The decision follows Daimler, BMW and a handful of other carmakers in Europe and Asia shuttering factories to combat the coronavirus outbreak - and to prevent a glut of supply."
