    Ik was echt behoorlijk paniekerig afgelopen 28 maart
    AM tikte € 24,33 aan en ik stond op - € 6.650.
    Maar ik besloot rustig te blijven , de emotie mocht
    niet winnen, ik liet ze rustig op de stoffige plank liggen.
    Al mijn spaargeld op AM gezet, hoe dom kan je zijn.
    Af en toe kleine uitstapjes gemaakt met Altice, en gelukkig
    daar wat mee terug verdiend.
    Maar jullie geloven het niet , ik sta op € 485 winst.
    En toch denk ik, dat de koers nog omhoog kan,
    misschien niet verstandig, maar blijf voorlopig zitten,
    en verroer me niet.
    Vorig jaar juni stond ik € 7.900 in het rood, en ging
    het jaar uit met € 9.385 winst .
    Heb van dat geld heerlijk rondgetrokken door Thailand
    Laos Cambodja en Vietnam en Myanmar .
    Ik hoop dat de koers stijgt tot € 38
    een koersdoel afgegeven door Golden Sachs , en
    jullie weten , ze hebben het vaak bij het goede eind.
    Nu computers tablets en gsm uit, en heerlijk fietsen
    naar de kust en lekkere visjes eten.
    Fijn weekend allemaal, en blijf gezond

    Nucor Forecasts Significant Growth to Earnings Growth in Q2 2018
    SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Leading U.S. steel maker, Nucor Corporation, has announced operating results for first quarter of the current year. The company reported strong set of results, carrying over the positive momentum from 2017. Incidentally, Nucor had reported the highest annual earnings in a decade during the previous year.

    The company press release notes that consolidated net earnings for the first quarter of 2018 totaled $354.2 million, or $1.10 per diluted share. This is only slightly lower to the earnings of $383.9 million, or $1.20 per diluted share in Q4 ’17 and the consolidated net earnings of $356.9 million, or $1.11 per diluted share during the corresponding first quarterly period in 2017.

    Nucor’s consolidated net sales totaled $5.5 billion in Q1 2018, higher by 9% from Q4 2017 and by 16% when compared with the first quarter of 2017. The average sales price per ton was up by almost 9% from the previous year. The company’s total steel mill shipments during the quarter surged higher by 7% year-on-year. The shipments to outside customers soared 6% from the corresponding quarter in 2017. Also, the shipments of downstream steel products to outside customers have increased considerably by 15%. The earnings in the steel mills segment improved, whereas the profitability of the steel products segment declined. The improved performance of scrap processing operations led to better performance of the raw materials segment, the company noted.

    During the quarter, the company announced plans to build a rebar micro mill in Polk County, Frostproof, Florida.

    Nucor foresees significant boost to earnings growth during the second quarter of 2018, compared to Q1 ’18. It expects significant improvement in performance of the steel mills segment, mainly on the back of announced price hikes. The recently introduced trade tariffs may also contribute to the growth of the segment. The steel products segment is also likely to see improved performance during the second quarter of 2018, having decided to pass rising steel input costs on to customers.

    2 weken geleden had je het zweet nog op je voorhoofd. :)
    Staat me bij dat je het geld eind van het jaar nodig hebt...
    Laat het een goede leerschool zijn. Op 1 paard wedden is imo geen probleem (doen er veel) maar all in op 1 fonds is wel heel extreem en een Beetje Russisch roulette.
    Persoonlijk zou in min 50% verkopen nu je wat winst hebt.
    Overige 50% gebruiken voor korte ritjes of om te middelen als het weer down the drain gaat.
    Laten wel wezen, garantie dat AM over 3 weken niet weer 3euro lager staat, krijg je niet.

    ik denk dat dit zeer goede raad is , zeker als je het geld nodig hebt binnen afzienbare tijd :-)

    Brazil steelmaker Usiminas net income jumps on economic rebound

    SAO PAULO, April 20 (Reuters) - Brazilian steelmaker Usinas Siderúrgicas de Minas Gerais SA reported net income of 157 million reais ($46.4 million) in the first quarter, a 45 percent rise from a year earlier, amid an economic rebound that boosted net revenue, it said on Friday.

    The steelmaker, known as Usiminas, said adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA), a gauge of operating profitability, was 622 million reais in the period, up from 528 million reais. Net revenue rose 38 percent to 3.2 billion reais from a year earlier, the company said.

    ILVA Race -Czech government concerned about future of Ostrava steelmaker

    Radio Czech reported that the biggest Czech steelmaker and its home city of Ostrava are concerned they could be hit by a major ownership upheaval in the European steelmaking sector. And the Czech government is keeping close tabs on talks surrounding the fate of ArcelorMittal Ostrava.

    General manager of ArcelorMittal Ostrava, Ashok Patil, met with Czech minister for industry and trade, Tomas Huner, and gave what assurances he could about the situation. He told ?We assured the minister that even in the case of a divestment scenario, Ostrava steelworks would continue to operate in full. There is no threat of a reduction of capacity and related jobs. We agreed with the minister that we will be in close touch and work on the subsequent steps as we work more on that decision. Of course, subsequent steps would be supervised and be under the guidance of the European Commission, but we will be in close touch with the minister to discuss the steps and have a constant dialogue.?

    Mr. Patil later elaborated that one of Brussel’s targets should be to see a thriving Ostrava steelworks in whoever’s hands it might end up. He told ?When the Commission is reviewing the process of the remedy, they want to see more competition on the European market which covers the investments and the divestments. The units in the divestment need to be able to run fully and stand alone in the European market and compete.?

    The Ostrava steelworks and its subsidiaries employ around 7,250, paying above average wages, in a city and region still suffering from a higher than average jobless rate. And the fate of other key local employers, such as coking coal producer OKD, are also closely tied to the steel plant.
