    Djee TT in de plus geëindigd....als TT zo'n " beetje bitcoin" idee is voor de toekomst waarim stijgt TT niet en het door de nederlandse bank zéér risicovolle kryptomuntjes Hoi wel.Er worden aandelen ingekocht doir TT...het lijkt eerder een verkoop van aandelen. Ben blij dat ik ook in een saai Aegon zit...Waarom koopt Hete TT eigenlijk niet...of waarom koopt men niet de resterende freefloat...Ik heb en houd TT en "Hoop". Maar realistis gezien was ik nu redelijk vermogend geweest doir mijn geld in Air France te stoppen of Arcelor om nog maar niet te spreken van Besi en Asmi...Waarom ziet niemand het toekomstpotentieel van TT. ABN heeft een JE van rond de 15 euro al 2 jaar geloof ik maar er gebeurt niks. ABN geeft ook voor Altice een kd van 16 euro???? Zijn die analisten gek...of zijn wij gek. KDTT by Morgan Stanley 19.70 maar er gebeurt niks. Wie brengt er wanneer nog 'ns een positief koersgevoelige berichtje uit voor TT. Dan kunnen we er uit stapoen

    Digitale kaartenmaker Here neemt softwarebedrijf over
    Here, een belangrijke concurrent van de Nederlandse navigatiespecialisten TomTom en AND, neemt de Duitse softwareontwikkelaar ATS Advanced Telematic Systems over. Dat hebben de twee ondernemingen dinsdag bekendgemaakt.
    Met de overname wil Here zijn draadloze navigatie voor auto's versterken. De bedrijven, die de overnameprijs niet bekend willen maken, verwachten dat de transactie in het eerste kwartaal van 2018 wordt afgerond.
    ATS is gespecialiseerd in zogeheten 'over-the-air'- ofwel ota-updates, het veilig en draadloos updaten van software voor de auto-industrie. Ota-technologie vormt een belangrijke schakel om auto's autonoom te laten rijden en veilig informatie met elkaar uit te laten wisselen. ATS Advanced Telematic Systems, dat gevestigd is in Berlijn, regelt zij ota-software-updates via Uptane, het beveiligde netwerk dat door het Amerikaanse ministerie van binnenlandse veiligheid is geïnitieerd en gefinancierd.
    Steeds meer auto's worden voorzien van digitale kaarten met een hoge resolutie. De navigatiesystemen worden voortdurend ge-updatet, zodat de informatie die de automobilist krijgt zo actueel mogelijk is. De updates worden draadloos of over-the-air (ota) verstuurd.
    De mondiale ota-markt wordt tot 2022 geschat op ruim €3 mrd. Belangrijke spelers in het veilig versturen van ota-software-updates zijn onder meer Bosch, Continental, Delphi, Harman, NXP en Verizon.
    Here Technologies, de voormalige kaartendivisie van Nokia, werd in december 2015 door de Duitse autofabrikanten Audi, BMW en Daimler voor €2,5 mrd van de Finnen gekocht. Twee maanden geleden zag een Chinees consortium onder leiding van NavInfo, een van ’s werelds grootste spelers in telematica, af van een investering van honderden miljoenen euro’s in Here.
    Ruim 100 miljoen auto's zijn uitgerust met navigatie van Here. Het hoofdkantoor van Here is gevestigd in Eindhoven en wordt geleid door ceo Edzard Overbeek.

    De achterstand die ze hebben op tt te achterhalen, en dat kost ze geld, en daar zullen ze voor rond moeten gaan met de pet ben ik bang. Oh ja, de prijs die ze gaan betalen wordt niet bekend gemaakt. Zoiets als tt met autonomos toch?

    Vanaf feb 2016 in TT en ik denk een kleine 4000 uur aan zoeken naar alles waarvan ik denk, het kunnen krenten zijn OF WORDEN.

    Voor mij is TT in 2017 super lean en mean geworden, ze kunnen het zelf, maar zijn ook een interessante overnamekandidaat.

    Maar vanaf sept 2016 is elk puzzelstukje voor mij te plaatsen.

    Sommige forumleden denken er heel anders over en hebben de RVB van TT eigenlijk al aan het kruis :-)

    Voor mij past vanaf sept 2016 alles binnen de strategie.

    De tijd zal het leren :-)

    Factors such as rising electric vehicle production, increasing number of connected car devices per vehicle, increasing cloud-based services, government norms and regulations, and vehicle data security have boosted the over-the-air (OTA) updates market for automotive. The global OTA updates market for automotive is projected to grow at a CAGR of 18.2% from 2017 to 2022, to reach USD 3.89 Billion by 2022.

    The OTA updates market for automotive is dominated by a few global players and comprises of several regional players. The key players that provide OTA updates for automotive are Robert Bosch GmbH (Germany), Continental AG (Germany), and Harman International (U.S.). New product development is the key strategy adopted by these players to gain traction in the OTA updates market for automotive. The company is currently offering eCall services in 41 countries worldwide and has decided to set up a facility in Japan to start the cloud-based service. Other than this, the company also adopted the strategies of collaboration and expansion to retain its position in the OTA updates market for automotive. In June 2017, it collaborated with TomTom International BV (Netherlands) to develop a new map named as “Radar Road Signature” that uses radar signals. This map would be helpful for autonomous driving as it is capable of working at night and in poor visibility conditions. The map uses the radar technology to guide the vehicle and identify the correct route to reach the desired destination. It will be initially launched in the U.S. and Europe in 2020. In September 2016, the company expanded in Southeast Asia by starting new offices in Philippines and Indonesia with an approximate expenditure of USD 90 million. The company is also expanding its manufacturing capacity to offer mobility solutions in Malaysia and Vietnam.

    Continental AG (Germany) adopted a mix of several strategies such as partnership, expansion, and new product development to strengthen its market position. In June 2017, it partnered with Carnegie Technologies (U.S.) to offer ‘Network Convergence Platform’ for fast, reliable, and uninterrupted connectivity solutions. This network solution enables over-the-air updates for different electronic control units (ECU) equipped in the vehicle and will be integrated with Continental’s navigation solution. In January 2017, it collaborated with NTT DoCoMo Inc. (Japan) to develop advanced 5G networks to enhance the cellular based vehicle-to-everything (V2X) wireless technology. Under this collaboration, the company aimed to achieve 10 Gbps of downlink speed with reduced response time to ensure high-quality standards. In April 2017, it expanded its research and development capabilities by opening a new center with an area of 65,000 square foot in Silicon Valley, California, U.S.

    Los Angeles, CA, USA, November 28, 2017 TomTom (TOM2) announced today that Microsoft and its Azure customers now have direct access to TomTom location services natively integrated into the Microsoft Azure Cloud platform.

    As part of Azure Location Based Services (LBS), customers can now build with a wide array of TomTom API services under the Microsoft Azure brand including Search and Geocoding, Routing, Traffic and Maps. Microsoft’s adoption of TomTom location technology into Azure LBS, provides the company a competitive edge in the cloud computing space. “TomTom equips us with the infrastructure to provide updates quickly and incrementally to our customers, enabling us to provide the most up-to-date information,” states Sam George, Partner Director of Azure IoT. “We’re excited about this partnership and the benefits it will bring to our millions of Azure users as well as the impact this will have in advancing the technological future forward.”

    Azure LBS customers are guaranteed trusted location data through TomTom’s unique feedback loop ecosystem – a global community of users continually providing map and traffic data resulting in richer content and more trustworthy data. It also offers many options for customization and opportunities beyond connected cars to power smart cities, IoT and industrial applications in sectors ranging from manufacturing to retail to automotive. For instance, scenarios for cities could include using Azure LBS to analyze, influence and improve traffic. Location data could help businesses manage logistics, optimize fleets and track customer engagement. For automakers, they could use the location based services as a tool to help them re-route drivers away from accidents, or find commutes that have better cell coverage for on-the-go work calls.

    Apple expected to test autonomous vehicles in Arizona.

    • Apple (AAPL -0.7%) is preparing to test autonomous vehicles at an old Fiat Chrysler (NYSE:FCAU) testing ground in the Arizona desert near Phoenix, sources tip Jalopnik. The company is said to be recruiting engineers and technicians to the site.
    • Interestingly, Waymo and Uber (Private:UBER) are already running self-driving tests in the Phoenix region.
    • As part of its newly-forming autonomous/EV car strategy, Apple published a paper last week in the scientific journal arXiv (read here .pdf) on software approaches to LIDAR.
    • Outside of the tech sector, the development on the software side of the autonomous business is of close interest to manufacturers such as Ford (NYSE:F), General Motors (NYSE:GM) and Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA).
