It is now the second major retailer to file for bankruptcy during the pandemic, following J. Crew’s filing earlier this week. It is likely not the last. J.C. Penney has also been exploring filing for bankruptcy. Many others are likewise forced to cope with sales that have been cut off and uncertainty over how people will shop in the future

Lagarde: Not clear how badly economy is affected

    mei 07, 2020 04:09p.m. CEST

European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde said on Thursday that it is still unclear how badly the economy has been affected by the coronavirus pandemic and lockdowns.

Lagarde noted that the ECB must take all measures it can to deal with the "shock" the outbreak caused and cited a second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic as one of the bank's biggest concerns.

Earlier, the ECB warned in its annual report for 2019 that the euro area GDP could fall between 5% and 12% in 2020 due to the COVID-19 impact

Onzeker hoe erg de impact is

Anders moet Lagarde dit draadje in de gaten houden, heeft ze wat betere inzichten de volgende keer.....
